What type of combat event would you like to see the most?
Combat Event Preferences
Quite a bit of time has gone by since our last war. We do hope to continue wars and continue with the same success we had previously. What makes wars a bit more difficult to arrange is the fact that you need either a lot of people or a certain group of people and you have to work with two peoples schedules. As we near holidays and 'long-weekends' we hope to arrange some citadel battlefield events and have another war in December.
We want to start doing more combat related fun events. As for wars we try to arrange those on days/weeks when people are most available so we can maximize our army. To learn more about combat events and wars at Smokin Mils check out the Smokin Wars section to see previous wars and read guides about wars.
This poll is for us leaders to get an idea as to what kind of combat related events you think would be best to conduct. Multiple choice voting is enabled, if you want to see all of that stuff happen vote for all of it. If there is something you specifically would not like to see or think it will not be beneficial to the clan DO NOT vote for it.
If you have a question about any of the options in the poll post and ask!
-Remember Smokin Wars is currently in charge of all combat related events and activities this includes PvM trips-

We should definetly do Nex once
Imagine 40 people trying to kill nex and fail at it.

Re: Combat Event Preferences
Wars - Bread and butter clan work
Citadel Battlefield Mini Fun Wars - Practise for the normal Wars
High-Med PvM - Good for experienced PvM players, helps the clan get together
Low-Med PvM - Good for all PvM players, helps the less combat oriented players get involved.
Fight Pits - FFA Wars? Yes please!
Monster of the Week - Sounds very fun, would definitely participate.
Castle Wars - More bread and butter clan events
Soul Wars - Soul wars, very fun.
Other:
Try and incorporate some sort of Dominion Tower event, that would be very good. EG: Kill a certain boss with certain handicaps on.
Pest Control - Like PvM, but safe and more fast paced.
Duelling Tournaments - May be hard to moderate, but otherwise, a good idea.
Survival - Fight a major boss, like bandos with no gear. An event moderator will time how long a player lasts in there before dying. The person who lives the longest wins.
Wilderness Hide and Seek - The host gets skulled, then hides in the wilderness. The first person to find and kill the host (Possibly doesn't fight back?) gets all of the loot/equipment.
Slayer Days - This won't work on a small term basis, but we all pool into the same world and do slayer assignments together. With a good turnout, it's inevitable that a few of us will get the same tasks.
Drop Hunting - Players are assigned a monster to kill, and the first say, 5 people to get a certain - uncommon - drop win a prize.

Re: Combat Event Preferences
I actually have been brainstorming and thought of a good idea.
This would be a special event which will happen every Friday.
Pile the High Level:
Desc: Whenever it is a week in which this event takes place a forum users (usually a well known and reliable one) with maxed combat will be asked to be the 'High Level' for the event. They will have to grab their best gear and tank out the entire clan for as long as possible. A official timer will be used and the event will be recorded. From the time of the first hit on the user until he dies will be timed. The time will be posted on a thread in the Smokin Wars section. It will be a highscore type of sheet. As the weeks pass on we will have a highscore list of who tanks the clan out the longest.
I can go into more detail but I want to see if I can get support for this.

It is a good idea But not for most members Not alot of sm Members are maxed So the list wouldn't be too Long maybe 10 or 20
I Could be very wrong Im not entirely sure on How many sm Members are maxed in combat

The event is meant for only a few people on the highscores.
This event will be based on so many factors it will create a lot of discussion. And we will be using well known members (not only maxed). Admins/Rank-Managers/Moderators/Trainee-Managers etc... They will be battling it out for first place on the highscore spot. The thing that makes this event fun would be that every week we get as many people as we can to show up to kill the 'Juggernaut'. So it would be anywhere from 20-100 people piling the 'juggernaut' who will not be able to attack back just tank for as long as possible. So many factors play a role in the highscores for this that it would constantly be discussed

This is a good idea.
Only downside is that richer people will probably win.
They'll just use their torva+divine+spam brewing and they'll probably end up winning
There should be a rule that only certain armour types can be worn, like rune or dragon+no ely or divine.

There should be a rule that only certain armour types can be worn, like rune or dragon+no ely or divine.
This, or there can be certain divisions. For example:
No Restrictions: As it says. The high level can wear what they want, and do anything to survive.
Heathen: As above, but no prayers allowed. Obviously some form of trust needs to be administered for prayers like piety.
F2P: The high level can only wear F2P gear.
Dragon: The high level can only wear dragon armour, or lower (and so on for the lower level armours).
Resourceful: Can not wear armour, but can use anything (food wise, etc) from their inventory. Possibly a limit on sara brews.
Survival: Can only wear armour, and prayers. Perhaps a variation minus the prayers.
Hopeless: No armour, no prayers, no food.
Then applicants can put in for the division they want to go for the high score in, and the harder divisions would obviously earn more recognition. Perhaps put a limit on the amount of attempts each high level can take at a certain division. Example:
High Level can only apply for the "No Restrictions" division twice, then has to apply for two other divisions in future events before being able to apply for the "No Restrictions" again. This would prevent over-popularity of a certain division.
