Yay, Runescape Issues!! Empty Yay, Runescape Issues!!

So last night I went out and got myself Windows 8. Now, when I try to load Runescape, I get an Error saying ClassNotFoundException: Rs2Applet.class. I dont really know what to do, and I wanna get on so I can flip and stuff. I have the latest version of Java and I am in Desktop mode when trying to load it.

Java Plug-in 10.9.2.05
Using JRE version 1.7.0_09-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:\Users\Owner

Try to disable your (Windows) firewall.

We tried both, I had the same problem, it's an issue with Windows 8. Jagex hasn't updated their program to take 8. But I somehow got a way around this.

Yeah, but considering the fact that it is missing a Java class file (that is downloaded on startup of the application), you can say it is a network security thing. Tried to execute it as an administrator?

I blame jagex, my buddy is having the same problem and can't play on his brand new OS... haven't found a way around it yet.

I had an issue with java recently that was impossible for me to fix. The only way I was able to use java again was by completely resetting my computer to factory settings and then redownloading it. :S So, good luck! hope it doesn't come to that.

If it can be fixed by resetting your computer, then you (or someone) should be able to fix it another way too.

But this issue is probably a network security issue between Java and Windows 8. Microsoft (if it's an issue with Windows 8) or Oracle (if it's an issue with Java) will have to fix this. The best thing to do is wait for a Java-version that is supporting Windows 8. Currently all JRE's are only supporting Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Server as you can read here

Try to update java. if that doesent work reinstall java. I dont know more options

Well, For anyone attempting this, I will tell you this :

There are no registry issues present. (It was scanned + Cleaned, using CCleaner)
Compatibility Mode does not work either.
There are no bit (32/64) issues present.
Internet Cache was cleared.
Java data was cleared. (The cache and applet data)
^ None of those worked.

Trying to get the RS client up and running now.
Should work.

DoYouPlay_RS will post with a confirmation if it works, or I will edit it into this post.
