Re: Step by Step on how i made a signature
I'm going to give you my honest opinion, and I'll be blunt about it.
Your guide isn't really helpful, and is below what even a beginner should be creating. You need to ditch the GIMP program, and switch to Photoshop. It's giving a really unclean jagged finish to the majority of your images. If you need a free Photoshop, I can link you to a version of CS5 that I'm currently using. However, if you're adamant about sticking with GIMP, I suggest watching a few videos from this YouTuber: https://www.youtube.com/user/GimpKnowHow?feature=watch
Here's a sample of some of his videos:
Again, I strongly recommend finding a version of Photoshop. It just produces better results.

Re: Step by Step on how i made a signature
this wasn't supposed to be a guide. just posted it so i could get some ideas on how to improve my artwork.
i know i need photoshop and if you could direct me to a free version of it id appreciate it. I've only been using gimp because it's the only free image editing program out there right now that i know of.

Photoshop is not free legally even the older versions of it are not free. However you can download the trial for it and download a keygen for it which gives you a code and lets you use photoshop for free however it is illegal and pretty much pirated software then. Most Keygens contain viruses so be careful if you choose that path since sometimes the repair of your computer from a virus attack can cost more than the software itself . I know of working keygens because some of my friends have used them so definitely not all are viruses just most of them
Photoshop I think is $699 (or for my country it is at least ) if you had a past version it is $199 upgrade and if you want to you can also download it as a subscription and pay monthly either $30 per month or $20 per month for a 1 year contract. I suggest you buy the software because from looking at your portfolio I think you have good skills at photo editing just that Gimp is holding you back a bit because of its limited features

Re: Step by Step on how i made a signature
I am supporting myself at the moment and I am only 18. I used some of my tip money from those signatures so i could pay my phone bill for the month. I am having a rough time and can't afford anything at the moment. I wish I had photoshop but I just can't afford it, and I am affraid it will probably be a year+ before I can.

They have a 30 day trial. And unless they fixed the bug you can keep it open forever just never close it past those 30 days.

Re: Step by Step on how i made a signature
can't do that. I have a ASUS K53E Laptop and with intel core i5 processor and paid over $700 for this thing. I can't really keep it on all the time. I don't want to burn it up. To big of a loss since I can't even afford photoshop right now let alone a new laptop. I support myself and I am only 18 with two jobs. Things are too rough to be risking my laptops functionality.

little late broeder. And I wanted a seperate thread of this because I wanted direct informations and not have to fish through other peoples comments about other pictures. Easier for me to do it this way.
