So ME: Shadow of Mordor was released yesterday and I bought it soon as I found out.

So far I've had mixed reviews, but as I am progressing I have found myself liking it more and more.

Who has it? What are your thoughts?

trailer looks pretty good, the combat system looks a bit assassins creedy, but that is not necessarily a bad thing

It is very assassins creed-like throughout the entire game, but this is because there were a few ex-ubisoft people working on it apparently. It works for this kind of game though so I can look past it.

I'm a fair bit in to it now and still loving it Smile

This game is good.

It is really fucking good.

I beat it earlier today.

Like, it's not a memorable game or something that will leave you crying when you finish it, but it's a really fun game, epic combat system, "Sauron's Army" and Orc Captains/Warchiefs concept is really, really interesting.

Definitely something you should play.

EDIT:

Yeah I love Assassin's Creed and you can DEFINITELY see many AC things in this game. Doesn't make it worse, though, it's not very obvious.

You already beat it? How long did it take you? Ive played it up to the point of killing the first warchief, but then I started playing too much of a minecraft modded map so havent played Shadow of Mordor since. How much longer is the storyline after you kill all warchiefs?

Well if you open your menu and go to I think appendices? You can see your progress. There aren't that many main story missions, but the concept of the game is more that you will explore and do other side missions before moving on with the main story line. I would say that doing this makes the story line easier for you anyway Smile

I stopped after beating the main missions and I have 15h of play time. I did rush the 2nd army a lot though.

Yeah this game is pretty much all about combat, and it's a really good one.
