Car Accident

Was on my way to school today and I got into a car crash.
We were doing about 50 and the lady in front of me slammed on her brakes to stop for traffic I guess. I swerved to avoid hitting her, and ended up clipping her tail-light. From there, I lost control of my car and it slammed into another car and caught on fire. I was pinned in the car due to the driver door being up the other car, so I have to climb out the passenger door.
tl;dr I caused an accident and my car caught on fire.

I'm doing alright. Little rattled. Sad that I won't have a car, but other than that I'm alright.

...I have a damn good question, at what time did your crash happen?
Not that I'm trying to sound like a dick. Trust me I know the feels, I was in a car accident yesterday. And like everyone else said cars can be replaced, people cannot.

9AM. Roads were still a bit wet from the rain overnight.

Glad you can laugh about it, that's always the best thing to do IMO. Just know that you still know how to drive and don't doubt your ability on that. I know when I got in my first wreck I felt like I was a terrible driver and couldn't drive at all, when in reality I'm a really good driver and it was just one of those times where it was a bad situation. Hope you feel better and get a new car soon

How did this accident happen?
Were you tailgating the car in front?
too tired to drive? talking on the phone?
Did the lady's car in front have broken brake lights?
Were you driving a large car or carrying a heavy load and did not account for the stopping distance you would require?
Speeding?
Just asking these questions as it's always good to reflect on what happened and how it can be avoided in the future. I also was nearly in a similar accident because I was driving on the main road and a car pulled out from the T intersection to turn onto the main road. The driver didn't see me and I nearly collided
. My lesson that day was to look ahead and not speed (I think I was going 65km an hour in a 60km zone.

2. No, 3-4 car length, but wasn't enough on the wet roads.. didn't expect someone to slam on the brakes after doing 60mph.
