How to quote

For some reason, the quote button is not creating a quote for me. This is very strange and frustrating

Are you sure if you are clicking quote and not multi-quote?

I just clicked quote and it worked fine. Multi-quote obviously won't auto-make the quote, you have to click "post reply" as well.
