To be honest, if you are feeling that loosing 90k is that much, then I think you should wait before flipping. You could make a lot more money with skills.

How much money would be a good amount to start off with before flipping?

How much money would be a good amount to start off with before flipping?

In all honesty, start flipping when you have ~3M+
Can look at Lucky's Log and use some of the first items he did; remember, they're inactive, so BE PATIENT! That's the hardest thing about Inactive items--being patient.

For example, inactively flipping gold ore, ashes, etc. Things that are low wealth can give you decent profit. Don't except to become rich overnight, but you can slowly make profit Very Happy

Lucky started out with low wealth, and now has over 100M (would be more but the noob spends it on skills, too Razz

).

It can be done Very Happy

Up to 11 flips now. Did two more flips, Seer's Ring & Adamant Bolts. Both were Active flips. I don't do those that frequently, but they were both pretty darn easy.

If anyone has any items they want me to try, or suggest I try, feel free. I'll definitely give them a go and +rep for the suggestion Smile

Cille and I have come up with a really good idea. We're going to start with 5M cash and flip as much as we can. So the 11 flips I have recorded now will no longer exist.

Starting new, and starting with only 5M cash. Every bit I get (ie. if I get a flip with my 5M of 100K profit, then I have 5.1M to work with).

I see you like inactive flips, try White Flowers, one of my favorite inactive items. They're 20k ea., and usually have margins of 10k+! Also, Purple Sweets can be a nice 300k-1m profit, and they're in between active and inactive.

Updated! Added in my latest three items (numbers 13 through 15), Flared Trousers (~54K profit), Steel Titan Pouch (~25K profit), and Verac's Helm (~62K profit). I'm nearly at 1M profit in RSGP Smile

Hopefully the flips will get better once the total merching cashpile gets bigger ;3

All updated, did a flip with great profit, #20 Warrior ring.
Total profit from that flip was 361,784gp. And considering I'm only using what I've made so far (~1.5m + the original 5M started with), that's good. Also have another good flip in; calculated it and it should make me just a little bit less than #20 did.

Soon I'll be over 2M profit doing this Razz

Just curious where this will lead, and exactly when I'll be flipping things that are higher wealth xD

Just got done a flip that costed less than 5M total and gave me an EPIC amount in return. Profited ~706K from this!
