First Flips - 35,142,261 GP Profit

These were the first flips I recorded. All are 500k+ profit per screenshot and under 100mil used (most under 50). I started out with active bulk (did not record much at that time), then moved to doing Nex and SS, and finally returned to mostly bulk but more inactive with VIP graphs. In no particular order. These two are of particular note:
Torstol Seed Snipe for 3.2mil profit - A nice example of what's possible with the live graphs. Saw they were super low, instant bought a limit, sold fairly quickly after. The second 100 in the sell is some stock from before.
Virtus Boots + Arcane for 2.15mil + 500k - Arcane is normal, the boots I accidentally put in the price I wanted to buy gloves for. Didn't notice, but they sold shortly anyways! Very lucky.

- I was able to catch the announced update to the degrading times a few minutes after it was posted, and instant bought a limit of every piece. All sold by the next day (and most within 12h), and all break even or better.

- All done with no more than 200mil at a time. Due to rl I didn't start until roughly 1 day in, so this is about 25% profit in two days. I did mostly semi-inactive drygore flips. Used the fc "drygore pcs" for rough ideas of the prices, but pretty much set my own and adjusted if needed. Of particular note are my first coinshare (the OH Long, there's an OH mace as well in the screenshot):

Obviously not much profit. Would not normally log this, but I had a small stroke of insight here and thought it warranted mention. I put in an offer for 2 based on the last pc (which was clearly not up to date) and one of them instant bought. But not both, so effectively a margin was pced in one buy. Successfully and quickly sold for that margin (the sell price here is what I'd put the buy offer in at). Certainly beats selling back at the same price. Potentially useful whenever one gets an unexpected buy but not a full limit.- Spoiler:

Gummy suggested a Vesta or Statius flip. A bit slow, but not bad profit or percentage.- Spoiler:

- Suitable for an inactive flip because it's crashing fairly steadily. Checked high price only with an instant buy; a bit risky according to Google's guide, but felt it would be worth it since I'd never flipped Third-Age before.
(33) Off-hand Drygore Longsword - 4,931,646 GP Profit (9.84%)- Spoiler:
- Suitable for an inactive flip because they (and the other drygore weapons too, especially off-hands) seem be strongly attracted to the GE mid, even if the true price is much higher. Probably due on one end to so many being coinshared, and on the other end since high-level players will throw in offers at mid whatever the true price. Thus they can be easily low- and even high-balled, depending on which direction they're going.
At the indicated time on the graph, they went from 49b to 56-59b, making for fantastic margins from this sort of lowballing. Not to mention any lucky coinshares. As far as using the graph directly goes, I was also able to predict the turnaround, and bought 3 overnight (including one instant) for 6mil profit by morning. (Note: that flip and others can be seen in Merchanting Weekend, this one is more recent, but same principle)
(34) Saradomin Godsword - 6,803,229 GP Profit (2.88%)- Spoiler:
- Suggested by Kelly, thank you :)Didn't intend this for homework, but realized that I'd basically applied the methods in the lesson by coincidence. Suitable for an inactive flip due to crash. Flipped them at the time indicated on the graph. They seemed a bit low even for the crashing rate, so I estimated by the drop per day, split my stock into a few different offers to experiment, and got about 2mil more profit than going by the pc alone would have given.
Merchanting Weekend: God Wars Equipment (winning entry) - 15,861,867 GP Profit

Due to ongoing investments, I only had 80mil or less available at a time, and 4 or less GE slots. Also was out most of Saturday and part of Friday, so overall not nearly as good as last time. I did quick pc 101 flips and slower Nex and SS flips mainly. Of particular note was the Torva Boots for ~3.4mil, where I managed to successfully predict the price jumping up: only took about an hour, and according to the fc/live graph it peaked exactly at my sell offer.
There is an extra SS in one of the sell offers from pcing, but it was not counted towards the profit.
Trip Investments - 79,670,244 GP Profit so far

These are investments I did while mostly absent for a couple of weeks. They were all based on a combination of upcoming updates and all but one were items that looked good to invest in anyways. Unfortunately, I did not plan well enough and ended up with a lot of wealth tied up after I got back, since the updates hadn't been yet released.
First one to complete was a limit of torstol: 26,601,300 GP Profit @ 17.55%
Based on the upcoming change where boosted stats and thus potions become more important. Sold at the price I was asking well before that though (less than a couple weeks).
Next, a pile of kwuarm: 53,068,944 GP Profit @ 24.21%
Same reasoning as the torstol above, just a bit more indirect and taking much longer. Some of it sold at first ~1500 above buy price, but unfortunately never got back to that again. Probably could have gotten a bit higher sells, but it was already dragging on too long.
Investing Group Log - 69,568,872 GP Profit

This is relatively short as most of my wealth was tied up in the above trip investments. All comments are the same as I posted there, and while this is a limited sample, it does show some things one can do with learning from that group.
Grenwall Spikes - 45,415,458 GP Profit, 144.33%- Spoiler:
This was done mostly on the expectation of the combat update raising the value (potions becoming more effective). I was mistaken on this, but rumours of the ranged dungeon being released created a huge rise anyways, 1250-2500 over the buys. I knew from investing and flipping them a while ago that they frequently return to ~1500 anyways, so anything below that was fairly safe.
Unicorn Stallion Pouch - 24,153,414 GP Profit, 19.57%- Spoiler:
This was done for the GWD update. Overall, I bought too many limits and should have waited until it was a bit more certain when the update would be coming (too much money tied up too long). Decent profit though at least.
Drygore Rebound - 50,000,828 GP Profit, 14.34% in 12-16h

I'd been watching drygores for a while after the big crash. The drop slowed down and became fairly stable, but I figured that with KK being harder and a probable oversell, there would be a rise soon. It began yesterday, with a 3-10mil rise on almost all pieces except mace. Maces lagged behind for no apparent reason, so with some help from thegame14, Unselfish, Blackyy, and Connor, I bought 5 pieces (also one street, but I sold early for just 1.5mil profit as I needed some cash). All sold about 12-16h later, at ~10mil profit per.
Appendix: after the big overnight rise above, I found in the morning that maces were lagging behind again. I didn't have the time to merch it on as large a scale as above, and felt it would be riskier since they were already up quite a bit, but did buy one. I think I caught the rise this time just about right; I decided 5mil increase to "75b" would be reasonable, and that's where it peaked.
Merchanting Weekend: 10K Limit Items (winning entry) - 18,264,997 GP Profit

- Wouldn't say it's my best showing, and wish I'd done better, but not too bad. Screenshots are a bit disorganized here, but in general Dragon Bones were nice and consistent. Most stuff was fairly standard: dragonhides, herbs, planks. Got the idea for the Mort Myre Fungus from some flipping/investing Julij2 did a while ago. The unicorn horns went fairly well, despite not getting much stock. There were also some reasonably decent Clean Cadantines, but unfortunately I messed up the screenshot pasting and the time was cut off, so it couldn't be counted.
Ranged Slayer Dungeon Investments - 58,125,025 GP Profit

Certainly one of my favorite items. They'd been going up at the end of each month in case the dungeon would be announced, so figured it was a pretty safe bet. Unfortunately, I missed the high (~1.8k) which occurred a bit before the Friday BTS. Got the peak after the actual update though for ~1.4-1.5k.
Glaiven Boots - 34,347,037 GP @ 18.56%- Spoiler:
There was an immediate big spike in Pernix when the BTS was announced, but not as much here. Looking at the graph they had recently been low and were going up. Figured the update would give them a nice boost on top of that. I should have bought at least one more limit, and aimed for a lower buy on the second limit rather than buying instant. Still not bad profit though.
Completed While Absent or Right Before - 43,333,806 GP Profit

This was stuff I had in the GE while I was gone. A poor showing, but some profit at least, and enough to push the log over 500mil! At the time I was more interested in liquidating stuff I had laying around than profit.

- My first serious merchanting since I got back. There were a couple hitches (such as confusing buy and sell and instant-selling a limit of barrows sets), but overall it could be worse. Tectonic Robe Tops went nicely.
Merchanting Contest: The Sin of Gluttony (winning entry) - 14,488,779 GP Profit

This went fairly smoothly except for confusing the ending time and thus missing out on some in progress merches. In particular I was investing a bit in rocktail, which was unfortunate since if I had the right time they would probably have been a couple mil or more profit. Super Ranging and Super Magic pots were consistently nice. Summer pies were fantastic percentage-wise, but a bit slow overall. Fish are good if you can manage to buy a limit, but one tends to get overcut a lot since so many people trade them. Â I tried an easter egg, but the margin was abysmal for the cash needed.
Merchanting Week: GWD Equipment (winning entry) - 50,873,754 GP Profit

This was a good opportunity to get my new account up. I was able to more than double the 11m or so it started with. Mainly I did Nex boots and gloves, as they're fairly consistent. Bcp and tassets are very quick if you have the right prices. I did a few other Nex pieces but they were fairly disappointing, better for short-term investing than flipping as Divine said in one of his videos. There was also an update on Zammy Spears, which I was quite late for but at least caught a bit of it. I completely missed AGSes unfortunately, which rose quite a bit from a legacy twitch stream.
Note: There may be some overlap in the screenshots, but the total is accurate.

Didn't have much time for this. However, it was a great week for merchanting with the release of legacy. Unfortunately I missed most of the investing opportunities, especially AGSes (though expect a later post with some investments). Even so, there were some decent flip margins for minimal effort.

Generally that means either 07, ones where I didn't get proper screenshots, or both. While a total profit for this section is below, none of it is counted in the official log total on the first post.

07 Adamant Swords: ~450k 07 / ~400mil EoC profit in 48 hours

I was lucky enough to piece together a couple bits of information to, well, make a lot of money Before I started seriously merching, I was looking around for an adamant weapon and noticed that the swordshop in varrock was bought out on pretty much every world. I managed to purchase a couple by hopping, and sold them for a nice profit, but catching one was much too rare to be a viable moneymaking method. However, around that time someone posted a tip about various shops on the forum, including a swordshop in Keldagrim. I checked it, and it was far easier to buy swords there. Not every world had stock, but many more than in Varrock, and some would even have multiple. I would buy as many as I could, then take them to the Varrock West Bank or Swordshop and sell for 100% profit on average.
Unfortunately, after a day or two more it slowed down quite a bit (as people moved beyond adamant)
I have no personal proof of this, but there is one person around who can corroborate that the merch at least existed, if needed.

Also since the last post I added an unofficial section, for merchanting I've done that doesn't count towards the official badge-worthy profit total. See the third post.
Now that they've finally released the combat update, I should have the rest of my trip investments done and posted soon (hopefully), as well as some others perhaps as well.

I enjoy your log. I would like to see it expand, have you tried flipping Dragon rider boots/gloves? Back when I used to flip those I'd get ridiculous margins and they were really fun I wanna see what you can do with em

One per week Colombian That's easy though, you just pick one off the ground and sell for 1 gp Or if you want to buy off GE, you can buy at 1 and sell at 2, and I know people that actually do that with f2p accounts they don't pay attention to (since it's 100% profit).
