What are some IRC clients like mibbit?

I'm looking for a good irc client like Mibbit that is for desktop and not browser based . So I'm looking for an IRC client I can install on my computer that can keep logs and do the usual irc functions. What is a good irc client that has a user friendly interface( emoticons, icons for op/voice) and I guess overall have an easy to use interface like mibbit. Preferably I'm looking for a free irc client, I've heard of swiftkit but I'm looking for just irc client . I've also heard of using old versions of mIRC for free but I have no idea where to find it and how to install it

It's either SwiftIRC or MIRC, but the latter is somewhat more complicated to use.

It's free for the first 30 days as a trial but after it says you need to purchase it according to the site. What happens when the trial expires does it stop working?

I use mIRC and its great. After the 30 days (free trail) you can keep using it, I'm on like 490 days on this computer

I use swiftkit personally, it does the job and i use sk to play rs

Hey daxaal I haven't used It personally but you may want to check out IceChat. It's open source and free so it meets those standards. I will download it later and tell you more about it.
