End of Semester
Many of us are in school and the semester will be ending in roughly one month. How well have you guys done and what do you feel will be the final outcome once all grades are in the books?
My grades will be either A, A, A, A, A or A, A, A, A, B. Not bad either way, but considering I have held the all-A status the entire semester, I would be a bit sad if that A were to drop to a B last minute.
By the way, I am a first year college student majoring in Criminal Justice.

Re: End of Semester
Damn that's pretty impressive for college. I'm a senior in HS and I've got 3 A's and 4 B's.

Re: End of Semester
I am currently a Doctoral student in Physical Therapy. The way grades work in my program is that throughout the 6.5 years, we are not allowed to get below an 83% in any class. Therefore, as long as I maintain my grades above that level, I don't really care what they are. It's a nice way to go about things because it eliminates the competition of school and turns it into teamwork so that everyone passes and continues in the program.
Congrats on the strong grades though!

Re: End of Semester
Not bad at all Merch. Now just keep that up the next semester and you should be good.
I have been looking into youth corrections, Justin. Becoming a youth probation officer is one position I have specifically pinpointed, but we will see how it all pans out in the end.
Thank you, RS. Right now my average grade percentage is 95%.

What's your secret to doing so well? I'm about in the 60% for most of my subjectsBlood wrote:Not bad at all Merch. Now just keep that up the next semester and you should be good.

Re: End of Semester
Well being in a major that I selected with reason I have enjoyed the courses to this point. I am also focused and motivated for multiple reasons including working hard so that I can help to support myself and my fiance in the future. I write out the homework assignments for all courses at the beginning of each week on my whiteboard and erase them as I go along. The smaller the list becomes, the more motivated I become to finish the week out. Rinse and repeat for sixteen weeks per semester.Daxaal wrote:What's your secret to doing so well? :)I'm about in the 60% for most of my subjectsBlood wrote:Not bad at all Merch. Re: End of Semester
The final week of the semester is here (for me anyway). How are you guys fairing at this point? I have three finals and a reflection left and the semester will be complete. The goal of holding on to my straight A's is looking very well and three of the five A's are already solidified.

Re: End of Semester
This is the last week for me till High School is over for me, I've managed to get a average of 70% in all my subjects (while you need 60% in each subject) and next year it's for college for me, gl me :p This how school works in Brazil, you need 60%+ in each subject to pass.
Not sure how college will work next year as grades etc

Re: End of Semester
I did better in some subjects and worse in others with a range of 30% to 80%, mainly did well in IT subjects but did poorly in mathematics.

Re: End of Semester
I had an average of this
Literature - 60% (sigh only did one test) Which is about the same as i got last year
History - Not sure yet (only test i had hasn't been marked) and I averaged 90% last year
Maths 2c/2d - 77% average or whatever it is (66%, 83%, 84%) and i got 30% last year.
Psychology - 80% average (2 tests) didn't do this subject last year
Politics & Law - 75% average (didn't do last year)
Physics - 37% average (about that, off 3 tests) was forced to drop it, and i'm now doing Biology.
Has been a very fun first term of year 11 for me, I just need to study more.
