Something strange

I logged on a few days ago onto my RS account and found that my name had been changed, my character had been reset, my levels were all down to 1 and I had none of my items. I checked my account status and found that several of my mutes could not be seen anymore and messages I had previously received from Jagex had disappeared.
What should I do?

There were a few periods of time where accounts got reset because, of suspicion of botting. I suggest you contact jagex about it and see what they have to say.

I don't know what exactly you've been doing on the account, but everytime I've heard people getting reseted, it was because of botting :S

Uoh, you better say goodbye to your account coz jagex aint gonna do nothing am afraid quite sure it happens bcz of botting. My account got banned like an year ago still takin to them to get it unlocked :p

Like others have said resets are punishment for botters, but I have never heard of messages and offenses and name being wiped along with the stats as well

Its no doubt, you was most probably banned within 1-3days of creation of the account, or your IP must be flagged by jagex.

Hmm... I've never been botting.
Are Quests and Music Tracks also wiped during Resets?
I'll try to talk to Jagex. Should I email them or go on Account Help?

Any chance you've let someone else access your account and they have cleaned it and botted it?

Either that or you have... sorry but my friend botted once and a year later he got exactly what you got... he was telling me he never botted but little did he know I found a bot on his laptop because I had to repair it due to viruses and stuff... so... unlucky
