Resource Collecting Guide Empty Resource Collecting Guide

Post by Lucky 6/12/2011, 1:39 am

~~~Clan Citadel Resource Collecting Guide~~~
Resource Collecting Guide Asdfghc
Otherwise know as Darkie's Rank Group
~~~Note "Hunter" isn't a person.... simply the skill~~~

This guide will cover how to collect resources from 7 different kinds of resource plots,

  • Kiln - Used to gather Charcoal for the furnace to use while making bars

  • Mine - Used to mine ore and precious ore for the furnace to make bars and to mine stone, used to upgrade citadel

  • Furnace - Uses charcoal and ore/precious ore in order to make bars, used to upgrade citadel

  • Loom - Used to gather cloth, used to upgrade citadel

  • Obelisk - Can only be used to get part of your resource cap, counts as any resource for upgrading the citadel

  • Tree Roots - Used to gather chopped wood, used to upgrade citadel

  • Barbecue - Used to cook up rations, used to upgrade citadel

~~~Now lets dive into the specifics!~~~
The Kiln
Spoiler:
Charcoal is created from tossing pieces of chopped word into the furnace (This is not dependent on the Tree Roots resource plot)
  • There are 4 boxes of chopped wood surrounding the each of the 2 furnaces located at the citadel
  • In order for any charcoal to be created both sides of both furnaces must be filled with chopped wood
  • This is done by clicking on the boxes of wood (Outlined in red)
  • By clicking one box your character will automatically toss wood into the fire until that side is full
  • You can fill an entire furnace (both sides) by clicking the 2 boxes of wood I've lined in red in the image
  • Once 1 furnace is filled, you simply repeat for the 2nd furnace
The Mine
Spoiler:
Stone is gathered for upgrading the citadel and is shown in the image in the green boxes
Normal Ore is gathered for use with the furnace to make bars and is shown in the image in the white boxes
Precious Ore is gathered for use with the furnace to make bars and is shown in the image in the red boxes
Stone, ore, and precious ore will vanish for ~6seconds after mining it once (One left click's worth)
---NOTE UNLIKE THE KILN, FURNACE AND BARBECUE THIS IS NOT AFKABLE---
  • In order to gather any of those 3 different resources all you have to do is left click a mining spot
  • Once you have mined a chunk of ore or stone it will disappear for a short while
  • After this happens you should move to either the left or right to the 2nd mining spot that is of the same material you just mined
The Furnace
Spoiler:
The furnace requires charcoal in combination with either normal ore or precious ore in order to be used
  • First, click on the boxes of ore (Outlined in red) Your character will autoload the ore, you must load both boxes of ore before proceeding
  • The furnace will melt the ore down into molten bars (Shown in the green boxes)
  • Click on the trough of molten bars and your character will autoload them into the cooling water (Outlined in the white box)
  • Then click on the trough of cooled bars (In white box) and your character will autoload them into the storeroom below
The Loom
Spoiler:
The loom is used to create cloth which is used to upgrade the citadel
---NOTE UNLIKE THE KILN, FURNACE AND BARBECUE THIS IS NOT AFKABLE---
  • To gather cloth from the loom left click the thread that is on the loom (Outlined in red)
  • Each side takes 4 separate clicks in order to finish 1 side
  • Both sides must be completed in order for the thread to reset on the loom
The Obelisk
Spoiler:
The obelisk is used to create minions that can be used as any resource when upgrading the citadel (Like a wild card)
Only 10% of your total cap may be gained here
---NOTE UNLIKE THE KILN, FURNACE AND BARBECUE THIS IS NOT AFKABLE--- (In fact it is one of the least afkable)
  • First you want to look for the 4 pillars around the obelisk (Outlined in red)(There are 4 of them, 1 per corner)
  • Once there check the pillars for the one that has a glowing aura/ring around it (Outlined in green)
  • You need to run over to that pillar and click it, you will gather resources until that pillar's energy runs out
  • When a pillar's energy runs out you will need to locate the pillar with the glow/aura around it again and repeat
Tree Roots
Spoiler:
The Tree Roots are used for upgrading the citadel, not for use at the kiln as some believe
Roots disappear for ~16seconds after being cut once
---NOTE UNLIKE THE KILN, FURNACE AND BARBECUE THIS IS NOT AFKABLE---
  • In order to chop the tree roots all one has to do is click on one (Outlined in red)
  • Once a root is chopped it will disappear for a short while, in the mean time move on to the next root
  • Once you've reached the end of the roots (Provided you went in a semi circle) Run back to the other side and repeat
Barbecue
Spoiler:
The Barbecue are used for upgrading the citadel, not for any other resource plot. This plot is very AFKable just like the Furnace and the Kiln.
  • Click the Stew Pot to begin making your stew (Outlined in red)
  • Wait for your character to finish preparing it
  • Wait for your character to finish cooking it
~OR~
  • Click the fish on the table to begin preparing the fish (Outlined in green)
  • Wait for your character to finish preparing it
  • Wait for your character to finish cooking it
The Mini-Map
Spoiler:
The Mini-Map is used to quick traveling around the citadel without needed to walk there
  • To bring up the mini-map click the citadel button (Outlined in red)
The Mini-Map After Opening
Spoiler:
This is the interface of the mini-map once opened
Also when you click the "T" symbol on the map it will teleport you to that area (No runes needed)
---NOTE THIS CITADEL SETUP ISN'T PERMANENT SO LAYOUT MAY CHANGE---
  • Red - This is the entrance and exit portal
  • Orange - This is the Mine resource plot
  • Green - This is the Tree Root resource plot
  • White - This is the Furnace resource plot
  • Brown - This is the Kiln resource plot
  • Pink - This is the Obelisk resource plot
  • Blue - This is the Loom resource plot
  • Yellow - This is the Barbecue resource plot
CLAN RINGS
Here is a video about them made by IdkWhatsRC, I in no way had anything to do with making this video nor do I own it
Totals Needed to Obtain them
  • Still gathering information
  • Still gathering information
  • It takes 291.98 player total to earn enough for a clan ring using woodcutting
  • Still gathering information
  • Still gathering information
First Smile
And +rep, this is SO in depth, it's such a wonderful description for newer members to get the hang of collecting resources for the clan.
Thanks for the rep to you and Dag Smile
And I haven't timed the spots yet I was planning to do some next week but I think you can get ~1333 resources per hour
A full 2k resources takes about 1.5hours if you are focused
Thanks Xavy Smile Personally I've never used turbokeys because I never got them to work Razz
Dark Azonic wrote:nice guide , might be worth it (prob pretty obvious) but added which parts gain what xp and hourly rates , as with also doing the resource cap most people will also do it for xp in the skill they want etc?
Well it depends on what you level is in that skill.
For example I would gain more xp at 84 Firemaking Level at the kiln rather than a person with 70 Firemaking
As far as I know at least I will verify later this week since I can get another cap
Charlie wrote:Do levels alter XP rate/resource gain? Also +rep
I believe that they do differ in xp rates, but the amount of resources gained is constant
-At the time of this post you haven't repped me Razz-
You may also like to not that there's a bank in the citadel. I'm unsure where.
That's fantastic however stop spamming the guide section and copy/pasting replies... it is frowned upon and most likely will result in you getting banned
