~ ~ ~ Bouncing Graphs ~ ~ ~

Investment Introduction. 8369d4138cfdaf87ea5a9ab630ac02bd

What is a bouncing graph? A bouncing graph is a graph that bounces. For example, If you throw a ball, it will hit the floor and then it will go up again. Bouncing Graphs are like a balls, they will fall until they reach the floor (Support Level) and then they will rise until they reach a certain point (Resistance Level).

Of course the real graphs don’t look like the example above, they usually look like this:

~ ~ ~ Trending Graphs ~ ~ ~

Investment Introduction. Xc5gth

Like you can see in the graph above, a trend is when a item moves only in one direction (rise/fall).

Investment Introduction. 205qbz6

The yellow line is a perfect trend, the green line is what actually happens. The item “bounce” while it’s rising. But there is one difference between this bounce and the “bouncing graph” bounce. In the bouncing graph the support and the resistance level is always at the same point. In the rising trend graph, the price will always crash LESS than the last support level and rise MORE than the las resistance level. In the falling trend graph it will always crash more than the last support level and rise less than the last resistance level. Usually, the graph start trending duo to an update (Graphical updates, bxpw).

A rising trend graph will stop trending when it crashes more than the last support level (In this case, after the blue line) :

~ ~ ~ Finding an Item ~ ~ ~

Finding an item to invest is very simple, however, it takes time to find a good one. All you need to do to find a good item to invest is look at the graphs. You will not find a good item on your first try, keep that in mind. There is 2 sites i use to find items, GE Updater and GE Central. It is easier to find items at the first link, you just have to check the “top falling” items. They are usually bouncing items almost hitting the support level, what makes it perfect to invest. I Think that the GE Central graphs are easier to read, but you can read it at GE Updater too. Important: You are looking for a item that still falling, not for a item that is rising already.

~ ~ ~ Future Updates ~ ~ ~

This is another way to find items to invest. I Highly recommend you to read all the Behind The Scenes and check JaGex official twitter/facebook everyday to see if they released teaser images.
This is an example of what will happen after a teaser image/behind the scenes:

~ ~ ~ The Stocking Process ~ ~ ~

This is where the investment start. You need to start stocking while the item s still crashing, otherwise you will not have time to buy a decent stock, due to the 4 hour limit. To start stocking, you need to check the prices, like in the active flipping. Buy one item at +10% and write down the value you will get the item for. This is your High Price. Sell the same item at -10% and write down the value you got for the item. This is your Low Price. Now you need to put an offer to buy as many item as you want to stock (the more better) at the Low Price value. You need to update this every now and then.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

~ ~ ~ The Dumping Process ~ ~ ~

This is the hardest part. You can’t just sell your stock all at once, otherwise the item will crash too fast and you will end up losing money. Since jagex fucked us with the ge update, all you can do to avoid crashing the price too much is selling your stock slowly. Just put an offer at a high price and wait. This is the problem with the Investments now, you can't "Dump Flip" anymore =/

Just saw this guide now - very well written and is worth reading for anyone wanting to know the basics of investing.

Since I've been out of the game I had not actually heard of the "geupdater" site and taking a quick look at it, it does look really helpful for choosing items.

Well deserved +rep, nice guide.

Nice guide. One thing, though. When do you dump the items? Is it when they begin to rise again or what?
