I haven't played runescape in a while, but when I did I never got a 99 . So I'm just curious as to how people go about getting 99s

My runescape time varied. Before the past month or two, I merely logged on for dungeoneering challenges and sinkholes in between my coursework and my job, so maybe 7-8 hours a week. My school semester (and job) ended a couple weeks ago so my final push consisted of 40-50 hours a week because that's pretty much all I was doing.

My easiest 99 was probably prayer, as I had that at 98 for like a year and a half before getting 99. 1m xp/hr with frosts, haha.

My hardest 99 was Hunter. I just don't like it. Haha. Runecrafting was my last 99, pretty slow xp compared to other skills so I'll say that was hard too, but at least that was more afk than hunter. I enjoy skilling for the most part so I liked getting most 99s

EOC makes skilling faster, believe it or not, because of the action bar, inventory presets, and other tweaks, many skilling actions are significantly faster. Combat, eh. Melee is a little better, but mage/range training with barraging/chinning it's still better to use legacy as those are auto-attacks and aren't as good with abilities. I enjoy slayer more with abilities, however.

I can give you specific pointers on individual 99s, if you'd like. I remember you were rebuilding from when your account was compromised.

I've planned out the best way for me to get all 99s apart from farming? Assuming qbd is 7m/hour that's what I value my time at. Alternatively if I start swapping from 07 gold, I could get 2m+07/hour which converts to 17m eoc/hour. Obviously I don't need to get 99 farming in a week though as I'm only 52% to max cape currently. Just looking for the "most efficient" way in terms of xp per in game time I spend actively plus the time cost it takes to earn the money.

Lot of sums involved but a simple version or estimation of what is best would be good enough to go on with.

Edit: I'll show I'm not just getting you to do my "homework" without trying it myself. So far I'm thinking, just thinking about doing some sort of high level trees + calquat trees, high level fruit trees + daily crystal tree. I'm not sure if warbands would be worth using on it I still haven't worked out the best skill to use warbands on. Herb runs are definitely not worth it for me given the profit per time spent doing the actual runs. I haven't taken into account their farming xp but from what I recall it was typically rather low.

I like to calculate efficiency based on the fastest way to 5.2bxp even though I'd never get it. I think you would get the charms for 200m summoning from 200m slayer. I guess you would still need to do some maging/ranging when slaying or you are going to get 200m melees before you've finished 200m slayer and have to mage/range all tasks. I'm assuming this is inefficient although I still don't know the best cb style for individual slayer tasks. This is all assuming slayer trains at 1/4 the rate of cb skills like att and range, which I'm not sure about.

If you're not going for 5.2b, calculate efficiency based upon 99. You'll get most of the charms you need from 99 slayer/99 mage if you barrage, technically the most efficient thing to do for slayer is melee so I'd say stick to that unless your range/mage skills are really low. Slayer is comparable to melee xp, melee a little faster if you do fast mode Bandos, or Fight Cauldron, for example.
