Chipmunk Deferring Payment

I was recently contracted to do some programming work for Chipmunk, as follows:

I contacted him on Skype to complete the deal:

He sent $80, but didn't pay fees, leaving me with $75.

He then gives me the teamviewer details, and I connect. Once there, I transfer the files:

We have a conversation on TV, and I complete the transfer and set up the bot. It works successfully.

Later, he contacts me again:

I try and send the new files to him, after having made the changes to the code, but he is playing LoL. That's alright, I plan to send the other files later.

To be clear: I don't expect that he would scam, I just think it's unfair for him to defer the payment of the remaining $80 until after he has received a working bot: he paid for a bot to perform his procedure (which he received), not for the codes.

Next, he brings the conversation towards pricing. He initially agreed to the price, the point is moot now:

I'm really sorry that this thread is so long. Cliff notes
- Agreed on price and task
- Chipmunk paid half money up front
- I delivered bot
- Chipmunk requested some changes, which I made
- Chipmunk refuses to pay other half until he sees his method for brute forcing codes come into fruition (which could take a very long time)

After looking over all of the screenshots you supplied I narrowed it down to the more important ones in the pastebin below

I believe that in this case, Swadq is correct, and Chipmunk you owe him the rest of the money that you agreed on paying (160$). I spoke with Adrijana for a second opinion and she reached the same conclusion. Swadq please notify me when you have received the rest of your payment.

There is a 0% chance that I'm paying him untill I'm 100% confident this bot works with no flaws whatsoever.

It's only fair that I get my part of the deal, before sending the rest of the payment, the bot isn't complete as it has flaws, when its complete, you can have your money.

What flaws does it have? You hadn't mentioned any to me previously. I'm happy to fix any problems the bot has

Chipmunk, the appropriate thing to do is WORK with Swadq on flaws as they come up. Swadq isn't going to run away from an issue if one does come up. I should know considering I spent more time talking to Swadq then family during the perfection of the dicing bot. Now you 100% owe him 80$ and I don't see a good working relationship in the future.

In other words pay him the 80$. No waiting.

As for fees, Swadq I think that's unreasonable. People risk their PP accounts sending to people as Family or friends. Real business transactions should be marked as such on PayPal. Trust me. I'm in a lawsuit with them...

The transaction was marked as goods or services - don't worry. The comment about fees was silly - I've been out of this game for almost a year now, I forgot that the seller pays fees when the transactions are labelled properly.

I don't mind paying the fees, to clarify, that's not an issue

As stated, Chipmunk, I'm happy to work with you on any flaws as they come up - you've seen how quickly I work, I assure you I'm just as quick when you've already paid me! So don't worry about that

Alright, I went through all logs again. I've had enough of this argument. Chipmunk, he gave you the bot you requested. If it doesn't work, it'll be based off of false information you gave him. Also, don't ever tell someone you're overpaying after you agree to pay. I'm totally disappointed you're making a fuss of this chipmunk.

I also opened a scam report on Sythe. He came back with thesame reports he presented at the beginning of this thread. Hoping for some progress down that avenue

Alright thanks for the update. I'll give his mother a call sometime this week and try to get things sorted.

Have not had any contact from Chipmunk since November 23rd

I am perfectly happy to fix any flaws he can show with the bot. However, he hasn't been able to show any as of yet, so I don't believe there are any.

I've been putting off posting this for awhile, but this was a query I got from him awhile back after he was kicked/twc'd from this I don't think he is coming back. I truely am sorry Swadq for your wasted time.
