Guide to Barrows for 1 Defence
I would like to welcome you all to my guide for 1 def barrows running.

Requirements to use this guide.
Quests:
- Priest in Peril (get into canafis)
- Desert Treasure (teleport to canafis pub)
- Recipe for Disaster (mithril gloves)
- Horror from the Deep (unholy book)
- Mage's Arena Mini Quest (god cape)
Skills:
- 43+ Prayer (protect from melee)
- 55 Slayer/50 Magic (slayer dart)
- 61+ Ranged (rune c'bow)
- 50 Construction (portal room)
Last but not least:
- some cash to start off with
- them clicking skills
The Setup
Before you check the screenshot please consider that I have tested many diffrent setups and in my oppinion this is the best you can go for 1 def.
The best Magic to Prayer bonus ratio.
- Gear -
Hat: Any God Mitre or a Gnome Hat.
Cape: Any God Cape (magic bonus) or Any God Cloak (magic/pray bonus)
Amulet: Amulet of Fury or Glory Amulet
Ammo: Adamant/Mithril or Broad Bolts
Weapon: Slayer Staff!
Torso: Monk Robe
Shield: Zamorak or Guthix Book
Legs: Any God Robe or Ghostly Robe (magic bonus) or Monk Robe (prayer bonus)
Gloves: Mithril Gloves or Combat Bracelet
Boots: Wizard Boots or Climbing Boots
Ring: Ring of Life!!!!!!!!! (for them laggy moments)
- Inventory -
- 2/3 Prayer Potion (4) - 2 if your 52 prayer, 3 if your 43 prayer
- 500 Death Runes, 2000 Mind Runes (slayer dart runes)
- House Teletabs or Dust + Law runes
- 4 Shark (panic food)
- rune c'bow and black d'hide chaps (robin and ranger's are optional)
- 14/15 Lobsters (1 Def so you need them)
- and most important item u can not forget - A SPADE -
Getting There
The fastest way is to go to canifis and leave the town a little west, until you reach a gate (where the purple and red line meet on the map) The fastest way is to take the red line to 'The Hollows' and get on the boat and take it to Mort'ton.
What I normally do is wait @ the gate to go into the swamp untill I have 100% run.
So I dont have to walk true the swamp!
Getting to your tunnel
To preserve prayer and prayer potions you should take a specific order to killing the 6 brothers, look on the map below and follow the arrows on which you kill. (remember: if you try to open a crypt and it says there is a tunnel below, make sure you KILL the other 5 brother before entering, just skip that crypt for now and continue following the order)
I have found out that this is the best order to do the Brothers.
Follow this order, it preserves health/prayer/food/prayer potions
The Tunnel + Puzzles
If you have a Melee brother as your tunnel, try to spawn him in one of the outside hallways by spam clicking one of the doors leading to a hallway

The Rewards
Rewards vary from time to time. Barrow's items aren't as 'rare' as people think they are, I get a barrow's reward about every 10-20 trips of barrows I do, for example, I got dharok's legs one day in 4 trips. But it took me 21 trips to get a karil top on another day.
When at chest you will always recieve a reward, most of the time people recieve either a variety of death runes, blood runes, chaos runes, mind runes, bolt racks, and a small amount of coins (100gp-3k)
Some usefull Tips and Tricks
1) Use protect from melee against: Dharok's and Guthan's (use against torag if you need to, not against verac since he hits through prayerover 75% of his hits)
2) Use protect from ranged again karil
3) Use protect from magic against ahrim
4) Don't renew prayer points before going in every crypt, go in, turn on appropriate protect prayer, and make sure you have to kill that brother before going into the tunnel.
5) When in tunnel, don't renew prayer points whenever you want, renew them when you FIND the brother in the tunnels, this will prevent prayer from going down when you aren't using it.
6) Get kill count to 11 to maximize your reward. Kill count however has no effect on getting a barrows reward (dharoks helm, verac's brassard, ect.) but it effects the amount of runes, coins, and bolt racks you can recieve as a reward.
7) The tunnel is a square shape, so when searching for the reward room, try to get into the middle of the maze
