Future of the Minecraft server Empty Future of the Minecraft server

With the server updates being slower than ever I want to get some community input on where we are going to go with the future.

Options

Vanilla: The vanilla server is rather bland, but we can upgrade to a fresh map immediately.

Bukkit: Bukkit appears to be slowly dying, I have been using it for years, even though they can take months to put out an update they have had the largest amount of plugin options.

Spigot: Spigot is kinda like Bukkit, I am not overly familiar with it besides knowing that it exists.

Other: If anyone can come up with any other ideas such as modpacks or something feel free to post, keep in mind that modpacks will require more server power which may lead to donations being necessary to keep the server going (following the Mojang rules of course).

Yeah, I've always loved Bukkit but with all these changes and only a handful of people working on the project it very well may never be updated.
