#1 Tip to Flipping!!

I know this is out of date, but you can still use it, limits are now mandatory for the 4 hours, just choose your time wisely.

HAVE YOU GOT A NOTEBOOK?

THE NOTEBOOK.

Keep a notebook of all the items you search throughout the day and write down the prices, margins, speed and times of day.

You get something like this:

Abyssal Whip - Limit =10
Fast

400,000-403998 - 4k (2:10) 4k
403,001-414,000 - (4:58) 11k
404,040-412,050 - (4:59) 8k

ALWAYS UPDATE IT!

I can't explain how much of an effective tool this is. Even if it is done on the computer, I just like to get it done fast by hand, write it down! Every bit of information you collect is worth so much after you have written it down. They tell you peak points of when to buy and sell once you collect enough information. This will boost your margins without fail.

THE PEAK POINTS.

So now after you have done a day of flipping take the time to look back at your items.

Abyssal Whip - Limit =10
Fast

400,000-403998 - 2:10pm - 4k
403,001-414,000 - 4:58pm - 11k
404,040-412,050 - 4:59pm - 8k
402,008-405,999 - 5:12pm - 4k
399,510-401,500 - 5:30pm - 2k

With the infomation i have collected for the item Abyssal Whip I have noticed a few things.

1. Biggest Margin = 4:58pm
2. Lowest Buy Price = 5:30pm
3. Highest Sell Price = 4:58pm

Now write these notes at the bottom of the page or highlight them and check these times for the next few day and write down what you get.

After the few days have passed comparing the notes I have notice that at around 4:45-4:55pm the whip always hits a high sell price and it's best margin and that at 5:20-5:40pm it reaches it's lowest buy price.

Biggest Margin = This is the time to start to flip the item.
Lowest Buy Price = This is where if you were to invest you should be ready to buy at this time.
Highest Sell Price = This is where if you were to invest you should be ready to sell at this time.

.1 Really work the flipping of the item for "Biggest Margin" period of time and you will be on your way to great profits!

.2 Look to invest at the "Lowest Buy Price" period of time, really maximize your margin.

.3 Dump your items at a safe time in the "Highest Sell Price" period to secure the high price.

You can also use this with the prices and predict a rise or fall overnight making a tasty profit.

ALWAYS CHECK BACK!

Always look back through your notebook at the items, you might have forgetten about some hidden treasures!

CONCLUSION.

Get a notebook.

Good alternatives if you do not own a notebook is the in-game notes tab, you can't keep alot in there but very handy when flipping multiple items, and also the notes tool on swiftkit, which saves the time of switching windows, remembering prices etc.

I have used a notebook for a while but never used it to find out when the best time to buy it is. I figured that out with super str. pots with out a note book and made a lot of money so I think it is a really good tip!

Once finished, and checked by an admin, will be released freely on these forums. The idea I got form you was adding the times and speeds to a "log" file, which will be made automatically, or even posted to the forums (you will have to copy code)

Ewh, is this really trust-able? I mean, the G.E is used by almost every RS player. So the margins could be destroyed in seconds.

I keep a log on MS Excel. I have variables and numbers. I keep track of High and Low prices, number I buy, the time I put in the sale, the time I get my products or gp, investment, and profit. It helps alot with keeping organized. Keeping track of profit along with peaks and lows of a particular item's price is extremely helpful and helps maximize profits. Great advice.

The simple answer is no. Do not trust it.

But use it wisely and you can learn to work with it.

I don't like how slow it is and also it only holds 30 motes. Razz

A note book can be endless and alot easier than clicking and typing.
