Yes, the amount that passes through the GE on the average day.

Basically, this is so I can AFK flip them. I have a decent limit ATM, and I am going to simply flip them all night with buys/sells both above mid.

If I feel like there is a person who is also merchanting them, I would simply remove my buy offers, wait a few mins with my sell in... and then simply buy out the seller. The market is far too slow for someone to possibly buy all back after I buy em out.

Since the amount traded every day is so low... even if I my limits were to fill, every 4 hours I am able to buyout the market pretty much since there is usually not more than 1-limit in the market at a time.

I am not worried about anyone buying me out. The amount of bad luck necessary would have to be epic.

If this item's merch works out, I have a much more profitable merch in the planning that is similar, except much more profitable.

I do not think it will be epic profits. The item I chose is extremely safe... and extremely low cost/risk. I am mostly doing it as a test of manipulation for a much more risky high-return item.

You see, "manipulation," as was once known, died with free trade. The question is whether one person, who knows he or she owns the market, can successfully rise, and then liquidate all assets before the price falls right back to the exact price they started at.

At this time, I do not mentor.
I am more than willing to answer specific questions, but I do not spoon feed items or methods.

I will not answer the first, though I would not call it substantial (no more than 500m). As I said earlier, I chose this specific item because the absolute loss on it wouldn't kill me. If this one works out, I am already preparing for a more profitable one.

How I raise/manipulate is also somewhat my own secret. Nothing against the rules of Jagex.

I sincerely... DOUBT it. lol. Just for shits and giggles on this item while I stock my next one. Also, since I own the entire stock pretty much, I would merch this item over and over. So, I would never need to sell my entire stock, only the extras I bought on the way. I would use my "stock" as a sort of "tool" to make future money, ignoring the money I put into it since it would pay off over time.

Typically, yes.

This specific item I chose was simply to test my ideas for manipulation and it was actually quite cheap.

You do realise that by releasing the item, if anyone tries to hoard it, it will only push the price up as you already have all the stock?

No, and 0gp. I have been able to raise this with no cost at all. I am very happy to learn this.

Once it gets to a price I am happy with, I can sell as much as possible... then doing the same thing again until finally liquidated.

my total wealth is more than enough to fulfill the rank req.

I've thought about applying, but just haven't. The only requirement for me to be "rank" that I need to meet is to be "trainee" ... and I dunno whose gonna be my trainer.
