We could talk about it some time... but I really just don't see the point of becoming rank. Nothing against those who are trying to become rank, but I really do not think it is for me. Everything I do is solo or small group merch. I have yet to participate in any of the clan merches... even before FT came back.

The only thing I wish I had is access to rank forums... but I have never seen them and have no clue if people are even active in there.

The only reason I am even here is for all the knowledge that I have gained from these forums, to share that knowledge back, and to bounce ideas around.

Waiting on the GE to update... last update was a step. This only furthers my opinion that I do not think you can un-step any item that is stepping.

I had a hand in I believe 100% of yesterday's trading of this item well above +5%... so this update should be a decent one.

That's something that would take a lot of explanation for any item that is NOT a top 100 item traded. All the top 100 item traded are available via GE and you can see how many are traded in a week's time.

All of those items, however, make very poor manipulation items. AFAIK, you must test any other item.

Far more valuable than the daily market traded amount is the instant market amount. That is simple. Drop a large amount of the item into the ge for a very cheap price, then instantly cancel it. The amount you sold was the instant market and you should always be sure to have more than that.

As for the daily traded amount, that's a little more in depth and I am not so sure I want to give that one away.

No. It is not possible IMO. The next GE update is likely to just be a horizontal line (step), then the next will be a step up again.

Yes, the amount that passes through the GE on the average day.

Basically, this is so I can AFK flip them. I have a decent limit ATM, and I am going to simply flip them all night with buys/sells both above mid.

If I feel like there is a person who is also merchanting them, I would simply remove my buy offers, wait a few mins with my sell in... and then simply buy out the seller. The market is far too slow for someone to possibly buy all back after I buy em out.

Since the amount traded every day is so low... even if I my limits were to fill, every 4 hours I am able to buyout the market pretty much since there is usually not more than 1-limit in the market at a time.

I am not worried about anyone buying me out. The amount of bad luck necessary would have to be epic.

If this item's merch works out, I have a much more profitable merch in the planning that is similar, except much more profitable.

you say ur buying @ +20% from the mid price. how do you know how much youve got to be above? what if you go sit on +50% ? wont it rise faster then?

I used to think it was 5%, but there was a day when I was merching the whips that they rose 6.3% or something like that.

I DO know that the percentage can rise over time. The starting rise is almost impossible to start as a 5% rise. As time goes on, you can make the percentage higher and higher.

The GE, IMO, is actually a pretty decent setup. There are just flaws when you have people with bils who can buy out markets.

It is somewhat comical to me now. I wasn't meant to see any significant profit from this... but I am seeing an OK one already as I am selling more than buying at this point. I wonder how long that can go on for. If it continues... I will have liquidated without ever needing to dump.
