I know a lot of people have a lot of problems with getting nice text. So here's a simple tutorial. With this method you get a most of the time nice text. Some basic experience can be usefull. Let's begin.

Step 1: Type your text with a nice font (I used the font Levibrush) the color doesnt matter.

Step 2: Hide the text layers.

Step 3: Make an apply image.

Step 4: Go to filter>blur>Gaussian blur (10px)

Step 5: Unhide your text

Step 6: Make a clipping mask on the text layer.

Step 7: Move the layer untill you like the colors.

Result:

Your text is done!

Note: For some sigs this works better as with other sigs.

Very simple, but the idea isn't bad. Could add a little shadowing, otherwise I could barely read the text ;p

This technique doesn't always looks that great. I'm still a fan of just using simple fonts that match the piece, but good work on the tutorial.

Very simple, yet helpful for a new artist. Adding it to the "List of Guides" thread!
