Fletching bolttips and apply them to bolts 387k-1407k/h

So this is actually how i managed to get 99 fletching when i needed a break from the longbows, it gets kinda annoying to fletch bows when you already have made 50k or even more.

First of all your gonna buy some gems, below is the current profit per gem.

Lvl 58 Emerald - 97gp
Lvl 63 Ruby - 260gp
Lvl 65 Diamond - 638gp
Lvl 71 Dragonstone - 617gp <-- Risky one

You can buy 1,000 of each gem every 4 hour so from making them to bolt tips you make the following.

Emerald - 97k
Ruby - 260k
Diamond - 638k
Dragonstone - 617k <-- Still risky one

But! We aren't done yet, we wanna apply these bolt tips to bolts for further profit. Same level requirements apply from above. Every gem makes 12 bolt tips which makes 12k tips for ever 1k gems. The stupid thing about this is that you can only buy 10k of each bolts (mithril,adamant,rune).

Below is the profit for applying one tip to a bolt.

Mithril->Emerald - 29gp
Adamant->Ruby - 36gp
Adamant->Diamond - 32gp
Rune->Dragonstone - 79gp

Assuming that we use the max limit of bolts on each item (10k) we will have the following profit for putting together the tips.

Emerald bolts - 290k
Ruby bolts - 360k
Diamond bolts - 320k
Dragon bolts - 790k

Now we add up the previous profit from making the gems to bolt tips and we get the full result.

Emerald bolts - 387k
Ruby bolts - 620k
Diamond bolts - 958k
Dragon bolts - 1407k

And if you want to put the profit to the max, you could do Emerald,Diamond and Dragon bolts at the same time since the require different bolts to achive a profit of 2752k ever 4 hour. However this is kind of time consuming and i would say that each limit of bolts take around a hour to complete from the first stage to the last one.

Emerald - 667k
Mithril bolts - 780k

Ruby - 1200k
Adamant bolts - 1830k

Diamond - 6399k
Adamant bolts - 1830k

Runite bolts - 8310k

Thanks man, long time i did this myself but after writing this thread im gonna go for a trip of diamonds

Edit: Whooooah damn the have changed the limit for diamonds to 500 But i guess the guide still have some function. But since diamonds have a limit of 500 then dragonstone probally have the same, or even as few as 100.

So this is why Inchy wanted dragonstones :p

Yeah i did it now and went a 388k profit from 500 diamonds and 6000 addy bolts so still effective

not a bad idea, if only i had the crafting requirments...

ATM this method doesnt work at all

just did it with diamonds and lost 100k

id imagine the others will be the same.

im not going to check the others but you should check them and close this thread if they arnt working ^.^

Yeah, definitely doesn't work with prices anymore. Besides the bolts will not sell except if you take the time to enchant them all

Diamond is great if you just sell the tips instead of putting them on the Rune Bolts.

I feel like even if this made profit any more, then people would hop on it fast and then no one would be able to make profit, or no one would be able to sell anything. I guess in concept it was a good idea, but in actuality idk.

Yea would be awesome if you were one of the only people that new about it. You would make a killing!

Looks like I'm on my way to a small and fairly slow profit on emeralds - 204k outlay 257k revenue.
There's quicker ways of making money but this is 'free' fletching xp with a cash profit on top!!!

Unforunately this method is no longer viable due to increases in gem prices. Not to mention it was originally posted 16 months ago.
