So I decided that we should make a somewhat-official thread for all FOOTBALL (soccer) discussion because it's been solely confined to sporadic threads in the past - we can make this a big thing!

Here we can discuss all the major leagues, including but not limited to the EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1 in addition to everybody's favorite offseason activity, transfer rumors!

There are some rules for this thread.
1. No team bashing (Even if it's Liverpool)
2. Try your best to cite transfer rumors from reliable sources, but then again, they're just rumors.
3. No American football allowed, and no arguments on which one is better either! (You CAN like both, like me )
4. HAVE FUN!

1. My favourite team's are Liverpool and Dag and Red (these guys are in like power league 2! ) (uber favs) then Juventus, then Atletico.

I support Sunderland and I think Bayern will win the Uefa champions league! I havent missed a Sunderland game for 7 years! I think Liverpool dont have the chemistry to win the BPL and im gutted Fergie has retired!

Yeah fergie's retired, and David Moyes (Everton manager) will be replacing him supposedly. Don't know if it's been confirmed 100%.

What does this mean though? His successor will be under a LOOTTT of pressure - one, to replace Fergie, and two.. to defend the BPL title.

I support Arsenal and still respect and would miss Fergy. Lmao what's wrong with Liverpool is that thy were good until that Rafael guy left then everything went down hill, Arsenal will end 3rd in the table this year my second favourite team is Barcelona.

So.. Wayne Rooney's mentioned (again) that he wants a transfer away from Man Utd.. rumours of France (PSG) and Germany (you guessed it.. Bayern) are circulating. Seems like everyone wants to go to Bayern now because of Pep Guardiola's new system (probably some tiki-taka crap)

if dortmund sell lewandowski to bayern... >.> would be awkward, but they'd have some money to replace him. Edin Dzeko has been a possibility to replace lewandowski, but ESPN says Dzeko wants too much money.

David Villa, Wayne Rooney, Nani or Dzeko going to come to Arsenal. You think this is true?

wayne rooney to arsenal seems like a definite no because its unlikely for rivals to transfer, although he would be a good player playing a false 9 role in arsenals 433. dzeko seems to be rumored to go everywhere, and villa has gotten tottenhams interest too

No one really would go to arsenal if they do not get cl qualification.
As for rooney i say he is going bayern. Bayern are going to rule football for a bit now.

Rumours that Cavani might be signed to Manchester City too, replacing Dzeko

It would be best for Neymar to transfer to La Liga, he's not really suited to BPL/Bundesliga as they're a bit more hard-hitting. I wonder if he can pull his usual tricks around top-level defenders, the guys in Brazillian League aren't as good.

Man City really need to work on everything in general.. they have to sell some players and find something that works for them.

So what does everyone think of Moyes taking over United? I'm a life long United fan and when i heard fergie was retiring my heart sunk. Ever since i been alive Fergie been United (25 yrs) and i will miss him but i have strong hopes for Moyes to do well.

Yeah man, same with David Beckham. He used to be my idol, my role model when I was younger. Used to try and put my hair like his aswell aha :3

When I was younger I so desperately tried to be able to bend it like beckham. My free kick curve is probably shit now. lol

yeah i heard that too, he had a bad run this season with real madrid.

Rooney will go to Chelsea. He's already said he wants to stay in England.

Mourinho said he would love to manage Rooney. He thinks he can get him back to his best and use him in a similar way to how Didier Drogba operated for Chelsea.
