Runescape 3

I've heard a lot of arguments about it, what I am really interested in finding out is how this community sees runescape 3

Is it a disappointment or do you think that it is more of a success?

vote and comment below on why or why not based on what you expected the update to be like.

Edit: I will kick start it by saying that I honestly did not like it so much because the update is not much like what I expected it to be.

I personally think it's quite good. The only complaints that I've heard are from people who seem to not be able to read and refuse to take a few seconds to figure out how to use the interface and people who are impatient and think that because their favorite god isn't in the current battle that they never will be. It's literally been only one day and there's lots more world events to come.

Love it, I love that I can customize almost all of it, and tbh this is a good update. Love it.

I really like it.

I haven't lagged much, I find it more interesting to look at, it's easy to customize just about everything. I feel more interested in playing, maybe I'll play more Very Happy

I think with the new interface I'm struggling to find stuff but once I found them I was loving the new update, so I think it was a success. Cool

It's overall a good update. Sometimes it's annoying dealing with the bugs, etc but that's a given for something that just came out. Only problem I really have is that I lag a lot. I rarely ever lagged before this update now it's an all the time thing.

As kushbush said, it's common to lag a lot due to the new graphics. Unfortunately my computer could not even handle EoC to its fullest so I will not be experiencing much of RS3. Although the cutscene looked promising!

I noticed using the arrow keys to turn your camera has gotten much faster, I enjoyed the cutscene on log in.

I like it. Just more aesthetically pleasing. I do enjoy the better camera control (being able to zoom out/in is awesome). I just play in retro, seemed ok. I feel RS is moving in a dood direction, even though so many people are unnecessarily critical of Jagex for their recent moves. In my opinion, the RS community will recover it's numbers in the future. We just gotta wait for the next wave of 12 year old kids xD

As Jagex mentioned before the release of RS 3, they prepare to unlock divine powers from our surroundings with a new skill for RuneScape 3, arriving a few weeks after launch. Now we can get it confirmed that we will be able to enjoy the new skills in the coming August

@OP. I love the new graphics, it doesn't lag and everything runs smooth. I dont really like the interface tho.
Will the skill be f2p?

Haven't really given it a chance, I've been playing 07.

Ever since EoC I have not enjoyed runescape that's why I stick to the 07. Though, I will be playing once the new skill arrives.

Skill will not be f2p. Merzz posted an interview with Mod Mark, he explained if people wanted to enjoy benefits, they should become members.

Now that I've managed to find a set up for the interface system that I like, I really like RS3. Apart from the annoying little bugs, but I'm sure they'll be gone soon.

I lost my motivation to play with this update, maybe if I get online and try to get used to it more maybe I'll start enjoying playing again, but right now it is a dissapoitment to me.

I love the new update considering where the game is going, i didnt like runescape 2 updates but this one actually feels like something new is happening and I want to be part of it, also the full orchestra is amazing, makes the game so much more enjoyable, for instance starwars games have a feel because the music score is so fantastic, and now I can say the same with runescape 3. I am a classic guy and love my old Runescape as the next guy but Runescape 3 defiantly makes me want to play and the feeling is more alive.
