Bonds, new update

What you guys think about it?
I  kinda hate it, what will this do to the price of gp?
EDIT: I changed my mind, i kinda like it now cus of the super cheap member

i wouldnt worry about the price of ge, but rather the price 3rd party sites charge for membership.

im confused, will the prices go up or down or will they stay the same? :S

Just like a lot of other updates - nobody seems to have a legitimate response to that question though everyone seems to have an opinion on the matter and we'll simply have to wait and see what happens over time.

I don't RWT and I fortunately am able to pay my membership with RL cash for now so I don't see anything bad about this update.
It's a monkey sink, so hope items crash so I can buy them cheaper, lol
+If it really "pwns" gold farmers, that's another good thing here.

It's a real money sink, missing the part where it is a gold sink though.

No in-game gold leaves the game at all.

Edit: You can buy a bond from the GE, but it is untradeable. However, you can pay 1.5M to make it tradeable.

My logic (which I have none) is that, if they say less money will come in everyday, the price of Gp will go up as not as much is coming into the game like before, but its hard to tell how much of an impact it will make.

thats a very good price, seeing as a month (28 days give or take) would only be 16m. a month of membership on this forum (no disrespect) is around 40-50m. i think jagex is hitting the people who sell memberships for gp very hard, and its very clever if you ask me.

Yeah i mean't that 10%. It's small and will rarely happen, but it's better than nothing. Also if it affects gold farmers hard enough there might be less gp coming in game.

The bonds can only be purchased through Jagex for real money.

From then on, they can be bought/sold for gp. Someone has to pay the $ in the beginning.

This is so cheap and I love it if I am looking at it as a buyer of the bond off of a player. SUPER CHEAP. DO NOT BUY THE BOND FROM THE WEBSITE! Buy GP from somebody here for $15 and you can get around 13m-15m and then just pay 8m in game for the bond. You pay the same price and you get the membership, and some extra cash.

Jagex. Well, more like .8/m or so, but close enough.

So basically Snow and Zombeh will be losing business, Admin Divine gets his wish granted of having a moneysink and majority of the community likes the idea of buying membership in GP. It sounds and looks great and all, but will the prices of GP rise up in the SM forums?

Assuming that now every gold seller looks at this video and sees that with 8m you can buy 2 weeks worth of membership, they will probably increase the prices of GP, won't they? If you count /m as USD$0.30, 2 weeks membership would only cost USD$4.20, which is cheap as heck. So for the people who are selling GP to not lose out on these Runescape Bonds, I believe they will definitely increase the prices of GP so they won't be selling GP that will be used to buy these memberships via Runescape Bonds.

I like them, mainly because we've been needing a money sink for awhile
