What is your favorite part of 07?

What do you like better about 07 over eoc? What's your favorite part? What things don't you like? What big improvements do you expect to see?


As for me, I started playing back in '05, so for me it's nostalgia as well as a challenge. I'm a very high level in eoc, and seeing as I don't really have a grasp of the big changes and don't feel like learning them, I like to stick to 07. The things I don't like are mainly time things, I don't like buying 10 at a time right now for example. The big improvements I expect besides the slayer update is some sort shortcut menus in skilling or buying things from items.

What do you all think?

Tbh, the thing I like the most is the sounds.. like when you kill imps and such

I have just returned to playing Runescape and have selected to play Runescape 2007 over Runescape 3. I'm not entirely sure why, it just seems a simpler game namely graphics wise, but also in content giving a player less options to select from making it easier to come to a decision on what to do. I also rather enjoy the social aspect of purchasing and selling items to other players through the zybez price tool as opposed to the Grand Exchange on RS3 and I truly hope they do not add the Grand Exchange to RS07 for this same reason.

I actually think that's a big draw for a lot of people, which is why I don't think they'll add it in 07. I'd like it, but I don't mind the old school way of doing it . I also agree in the simplicity being a factor, I do enjoy it.

The thing I liked the most about 07 was that everything was less complicated. From skills, quests to bosses, pvp etc. It didn't took too much training to master something. Nowdays you have to specialize in something especially if you don't play much rs.

I'd choose 07 over eoc if I wouldn't have to start from nothing once again.

07 Feels more like what I'm used to, its easier, and the nostalgia.

I agree. The combat system changes I saw as I did the corp event today reaffirmed that I like 07 way better

Personally it's a combination of nostalgia, simplicity and the fact that levelling non-combat skills + getting drops from PvM is actually useful and exciting. I sometimes feel that the value of money and skills have depreciated in EoC.

The grand exchange. Wait..

Idk how to post a response to someone but juji2 said he likes it but restarting is a pain. Tbh I was 100% the same way. But as I started to progress starting over had me motivated to get the best exp possible Aswell as get on as much as possible to start going to hard bosses or to start doing high level content. That might just be me because I love doing bosses.

Fighting in general brings back old rs memories so id stick with that for favorite part

Everything combat related, especially special attacks.
Expecting dragon claws, but you realize that whatever they do to the game, it'll stay dead.
