I'm Adz for me merching = runescape. I started flipping in 2k9 with 10m I now have 5.4b but I quite for at least 2 years in between. Just getting back into rs this past week. My goal is to get another purp phat worth of wealth in the next few months. Let's say by the end of Aug.

Just popping in-

"Cash Pile goal by the end of your stay: I'm not planning on leaving. What does this mean?"

Mentee is generally a temporary position; you graduate and then either move on to ranked positions (Trainee, Merchant Rank, etc) or just flip on your own as a public member.

Curious to see how this turns out, however. I have had experience flipping with a cash stack similar to yours (~6-8b) so I wonder what you will gravitate towards. Naturally, I did the usual rare flips that you seem to be doing, but I tended to use the majority of my expendable cash investing in update-specific items; such as Adamantite ore, as that's quite popular for bonus xp-weekends or May skiller weekends (double Artisan's workshop xp). I've never tried runite ore as you have, but I can't see that having a significant increase unless they decide to stop putting more and more rune rocks in the game (i.e. having tons of rune rocks in this month's Road Trip reward aura dungeon). Just my two cents (*cough* Kelly). Anywho enough of my ranting, good luck!

Thanks. Please permit me to be a noob and ask you the age old question hundreds of nooblings have asked you over the years, as they have of me: how did you earn your 10b+ or however much you have now? Mostly bxp weekends?

Also I was just flipping runite ores not investing.

Edit: I also got lured for 4.9b and am down to 1b now. Moral of the story most anti-stuff I shouldn't be doing is fake. They send you fake videos of successful anti-lures to get your confidence up. Many people can be involved. 3+ were involved in the lure; at least another 2 were involved in follow-up to try and get my last bil. There are many skype groups with a lot of people. Basically stuff I shouldn't be doing clans/gangs.

Not all of it was strictly merchanting. I gained roughly 500-600 from that, and that's how I started making money. I went from 6m to 150 in my first week of merchanting the week that gwd gloves and boots came out, active flipping was still viable and I helped run a gwd items pc fc. gwd items had like 1m margins each and were heavily inflated on the market, allowing for coin shares to come in at ge price and account for 5-6m profits per item (I have screenshots of this somewhere in my really old flipping log if that's not basketed). Rest of it came mostly from update invests or inactive flips, such as when they re-added special attacks to ags last year and they nearly doubled in price and were even good margins for active flipping.

Other methods of money include NOT ALLOWED before thag was illegal in Runescape (once that was made bannable I stopped) and 07-eoc flipping, which was quite profitable before everyone starting doing it and it settled down.

I've been lured once or twice myself, not quite for that much but it still took a hit. I built it back up and realized I would never get lured again, and was better for it. It's good you have a substancial amount to bounce back on.
