Chaotic Rapier vs Long?

So after 3 years, I've finally decided that it's time to get a chaotic because I'm tired of having to buy drygores every time I want to kill something, and then having to repair them and sell them back.

I've looked at the stats for the chaotic rapier and long, and they're both the same... (nice one jagex) The long is slower, but that really doesn't matter much with abilities, but if they're both the same I don't see any reason not to get the rapier. But what do I know?

Which one do you think is better?

Pretty sure from what I remember they're basically identical, the only real difference being the rapier is stab and the longsword is slash.

Rapier is better for slayer being a faster weapon used on lower lifepoint monsters and kk is weak to stab.

Long is better against most other bosses as most bosses are weak to slash.

So if your using it to boss in general then go the long, but if your going to do more slayer then go with the rapier. In the end though they are pretty similar overall so its much of a muchness really.

So what are the opinions on the chaotic claws? I hear they are just as good but they cost less tokens. How do they compare in slayer?

Im pretty sure since eoc Chaotic long is as fast as Chaotic rapier.

Maybe chaotic claws would be a good option. Faster and higher critical then Long/rapier.
