How to work the Spreadsheet
This guide will be split into four color coded sections to make the read easier:
- How to obtain the spreadsheet
- Starting up the spreadsheet
- How to add a flip
- How to export the flip/s
Though I hope the information below aids you in any questions you may have, if you find yourself still pondering something feel free to post your question(s) here: http://www.smokinelite.com/t83049-feedback-abbreviations-updates-problems
How to obtain the spreadsheet
Go to this and follow the instructions: http://www.smokinelite.com/t83068-new-way-to-update-your-logs#1147979
Starting up the spreadsheet
- Go to your emails and click on "Edit with Google Sheets"
- Afterward, click "Share" (top right) and enter in Killerhartse@gmail.com and then press done.
- Then fill in the information in this part (view spoiler's image):
- Then type in your forum name, this is important as it will determine who's eligible for a profit badge and will be used to keep track of the total profit on the profit counter (images on either side of the forums).
How to add a flip:
- "Abbreviations" – to find the abbreviation of an item go to the tab called "Item Database" at the bottom of the sheet. From there press CTRL+F (CMD+F on Mac) and search for the item you're looking for. If there is an abbreviation for that particular item, go back to the "Input Sheet" and type in that respective abbreviation. if there is not an abbreviation for that item, you can make your own or go back to the "Input Sheet" tab and type in the name of the item you've flipped into the "Item" column (when typing in the item, a drop down box will appear, so you may have to be patient for it to load).
- The "Limit" column is there to tell you what the limit is of the item you've typed in and to work out potential profit if you use this sheet to note down margins.
- The "High Price" and "Low Price" columns should only be used when you have price checked an item. You can then put the instant buy price into the High Price column and the instant sell price in the Low Price column. This will tell you the potential profit you can make. Please note that you don't have to use these columns, it's just an additional feature that's there if you'd like to use it.
- "Total Buy" and "Total Sell" are the prices on your picture(s). You have to put the total buy of the flip and how much it all sold for.
- "Picture 1" and "Picture 2" are, as they're named, the pictures of your flip. If you're using direct links you need to make sure that N2 has "YES" in the cell. View the spoiler for more important information of how to take screenshots.
How to export the flip/s
At the bottom of the sheet there are two tabs, "Single Flip Output" and "Multi Flip Output" as shown in the image below (in the spoiler).
If you would like to export one individual flip you can use the "Single Flip Output" tab. You type in the number of the flip corresponding to the input sheet, then simply copy the boxes highlighted in light blue and paste the code into your log. It's that simple!
The "Multi Flip Output" tab is probably the most straightforward, all you do is copy the flips you want to add to your log. Example is below (in spoilers)

- Information on how to take screenshots:
Gyazo.com - Allows you to take a screenshot on a set part of your screen. Once the picture is taken it will open a tab on your internet browser with the picture you took. Right click and press "Copy Link URL." This will then give you a direct link, so make sure N2 says "YES" otherwise it will malfunction.
Another easy to use screen capturing program is Lightshot - Once it's downloaded, whenever you press "PrtScr" you select the area in which you want to screenshot. From here, you save the picture and upload to a picture hosting website such as Postimage.org. Most picture hosting websites give you the links for forums, so just double check this to make sure, just in case you need to change cell N2 to "YES" or not.
