Sabre-Toothed Kyatt hunting. [1.07m-1.61m GP/H]
Hello everybody!
I just wanted to share you a neat little money making method.
I used this when I just started hunting ages ago.
It got me quite some exp and great money.
So lets get started shall we.
Requirements.
- 55 Hunter.
Outfit.
Just Kyatt clothing, to blend in, nothing special needed.
Inventory.
- Teasing stick: Required to poke 'em.
- Some food: You could get hurt by the Kyatt, if you have poked them.
- A Hatchet: You need logs to make a trap.
- Logs (Optional): Save yourself some time.
Location.
So this hunter spot is easy accesible through the Fairy Ring Transportation system.
Use the combination: DKS, and walk according the red route.
(Quest: Fairy Tale II needed for transportation using Dramen staff or lunar staff. Fairy Tale III for transportation through the rings without any staff at all)
Second best way is to enter the trapdoor north-west of the Grand Exchange, this will get you to Keldagrim, from there take the boat back to the entrance of the cave, exit the cave and follow the route on the map. (Quest: The Giant Dwarf needed, this route is pretty much self explanatory after you have done this quest)
An other way to get there is by using your enchanted lyre from the Fremmenik Trials quest. Head east to the mountains, then go north along the mountains and you will reach your destination.
This is the part where the money comes in.
So upon arrival you will notice the kebbits hopping around and the somewhat larger Kyatts strolling around.
Now find a pit and "Trap" it.
After you've set up the trap it's time to Tease a Kyatt, this is easily done by clicking on them.
Once you've got the Kyatt's attention you will have to walk/run towards your freshly made trap.
Once you are in this position, jump across your trap and the Kyat will try to follow, and the trap will collapse leaving a dead Kyatt behind.
Loot the trap, doing this will give you Big bones and either Tatty kyatt fur (Useless) or Kyatt fur (aiming for).
Currently the Kyatt fur sells for 10737 GP each.
Profits.
So you won't be spending any money on this (apart from the hatchet, little food and outfit), so this is mainly pure profit.
I can easily get 25 Kyatt furs within 10 to 12 minutes, a run to the bank and back is 3 minutes. So you will do about 4 trips an hour and even 5-6 once you get the hang of it.
4*(25*10737) = 1.073.700 GP/H
So as I calculated here you will gain at least 1.073m an hour, up to 1.61m an hour.
In my opinion this is a very good method to earn money and get some decent hunter experience (65k EXP/H).
You have to be very active to do this and it really pays off!
This method is really underrated but nearly as much as profit as Grenwall hunting which requires alot of clicking and tons of more concentration.
Tip: Take an impling jar and a Magical Butterfly net with you. This might slow the GP/H down, but there are alot of implings flying around in that area so there is a decent chance you might catch a valuable Impling. Which eventually generates more money.
Conclusion.
So yeah, this was my first tutorial ever.
I hope it turned out pretty well and I really like to hear some feedback.
I really enjoyed making this guide and I hope you guys will try it out and get some additional Gp's!
If there are still any questions you can always PM me.
Enjoy!

mm i have 69 hunter and this isn't all that effective.... maybe you should add that like 90+ hunter is advisable... i got maybe 10 furs in half an hour, maybe i'm doing it wrong but this isn't working for me... ;s

Good guide, but you might want to add a recommended level to start them at for a decent profit.

Well, it really isn't trust me.
It's probably because I explained it quite detailed. You should just try it out, and find out how it works.
Great way to make money guys!

This method will probably go down quite a bit because silentc0re and Castle Wars have made guides on them, so everyone is doing it and will probably crash prices quite a bit, but I assume it'll still be decent profit per hour .

Re: Sabre-Toothed Kyatt hunting. [1.07m-1.61m GP/H]
It was a good guide for those who are just starting out to make money. As said before the prices have dropped so it isn't quite as good. I have another method that I've found very useful which is hunting implings in Puro-Puro. I've made 1.4m/hr before but it can be sketchy if you don't get valuable caught imps like dragon or kingly.

This looks very interesting and i have the hunter level for it. I might try it just to boost bank a bit. I think you could add to use an arctic bear familiar (summoning) as it gives invisible hunter boost. This boost may help you catch the kyatts more successfully?
