Minecraft Server Poll! + IRC CHAN

Hey guys, I was talking to Dr Kort in IRC and from what we know there are a lot of you with interest in Minecraft. Dr Kort is thinking about setting up a server for SM alone, it would cost $30 - $40 so we would need donations, etc.

How many of you would be for this idea? Answer the poll and write your comments below.

I'd be in, but I have no way of helping to pay for it.
EDIT: Saw Pleco's comment on selling Mr J gold - I do not believe in RWT and will not be selling any of my RS gold.

I might after I buy Minecraft.

To be clear, it's $30/40 per month (depending on the size server we want).

If you want to donate and don't have CASH then you can talk to mr J and see if you can sell him some gp and he can send the money directly to me.

Even at his regular buying prices, if we get ten people in on it then it would be 5m gp per month each.

It would also be a multiplayer server so you would be able to either do your own thing off someplace where nobody can find you OR you can work on things with your friends.

The server would be a real server located in a real hosting facility so there will be 0 problems with lag and downtime, plus no chance at all that the saved data would be lost.



I would also set up a hidden forum that's solely for donators so there wouldn't be freeloaders or griefers. =)

I wouldn't pay it, sorry. Reason is that me and my friends own pretty popular minecraft server already.

I would be willing to contribute 10m my self if necessary, but we would still need more people to be in on it. It would be loads of fun.

ehh mine craft is not for me so much.

If/When i start playing minecraft and if/when i want to keep playing it... i will have no problem with paying 5m/month (cant pay with rl gp sowwi )

Yeah, that was actually intentional on my part as I would rather get people voting who support it because they already like it rather than selling them on the funness of the game when they could get bored in a week and leave me with expensive server costs, lol.

I see a lot of people playing it lately... Mostly my friends =P... I haven't played it but if you guys make a Server I would probably join and donate some to keep it running =p
