Re: Artistic Blur CnC Pit
DoYouPlay_RS,
Completely agree with Josh on the font. If I didn't already know what it said, I wouldn't be able to read it. The render seems over-sharpened at some points, and I think adding a little bit of other colors in there might help (like a gradient map on low opacity, soft light/overlay) to tone down the intensity of the pink and purple, as they go well together, but seem to be too much all at once.
I like the ball C4D's you used, you should send those to me sometime in IRC, they're really catchy - you used them on your most recent SOTW too and I adored them. I also like that the render is completely new and unseen (to my eyes at least) and not a render used a lot

Kitty Alex wrote:hey helloim, what do you use for your background?
It looks like he enlarged the render and applied a few adjustment layers or filters to it, such as blurring

Re: Artistic Blur CnC Pit
You should work on blending your render with the rest of your sig helloim96, either by feathering/smudging/layering/c4d's/other effects

Re: Artistic Blur CnC Pit
Helloim, better but pay great attention to how much you blur because theres a fine balance line between enough and too much blurring
Leakee, its ok. Could use better colors. Not a fan of those kinds of sigs anyway

Re: Artistic Blur CnC Pit
Opinions? I don't often make tags, but I was looking for resources on deviantART and just thought it would be perfect within a signature.

Re: Artistic Blur CnC Pit
Predator,
Good tag, but there is way too much Topaz usage. I think you have an overuse of intense pink, too, not enough other colors/shades. Take your current signature, for example, blue is the main theme, but you see a light cyan, a darker blue, even some white. Those shades bring out the tag more.

Ross L, I plan to teach everyone Topaz Labs when teams are released.
Also, I love the look of a Topaz Clean finish, Kelly. It looks so clean and detailed. As for the colour, you're most likely right. I have my laptop connected to my 40" HD TV, and it looks bright pink on that, but on my laptop screen, it looks more purple with a nice pink mixed in at the bottom. Sometimes, I don't know which screen to trust as everyone's monitors are going to show slightly different colours depending on the brightness of their screen.

Re: Artistic Blur CnC Pit
Ross L, don't feel left out. Topaz is a photoshop plug-in filter that costs about $30 I think? Topaz Clean is used to, ofc, clean up certain areas with a piece... It is mostly overused now, but with the right settings it can improve a piece... Wrong settings, your piece is practically screwed (and by wrong settings I mean too much of it.) Using too much of it really makes a piece look very very very very unrealistic, in other words fake.Ross L wrote:Kelly wrote:Predator,

It's a nice piece, Josh Designs. Like todgott said though, it is a little bit too chaotic. Eye-catching too
