Zakat's Merchanting Diary
- Week 1:
- Week 1
Starting Total Merchantable Bank:816mI messed this up big time. I tried to add up all my ge offers and my cash stack but something went horribly wrong. My starting wealth was much lower than this.
Ending Total Merchantable Bank:889m
Weekly summary: I made over 175m this week (well 9 days, but who's counting) which was more than I was expecting. This was my first full week of flipping since EoC and I thought I would do more inactive flipping. However, I actually did more active flipping. I built a rotation of items that I tried to flip every 4 hours. For the most part it worked out well. Overnight flips have also been a big part of my profit. I had some success flipping drygores and vesta's longswords overnight. I prefer inactive flipping drygores because I never really have luck active flipping them. It's easy to catch them in a slight dip and wait until it rises again or flip them overnight. I haven't really attempted any of the other high level weapons yet because it would take up too much of my bank and I have no knowledge of them so it would be way too risky. I need to work on logging the times I buy items so I can flip my items most efficiently.

1 - Vesta's Longsword - 4940k - 8.10%
Vesta's, statius's, corrupt statius's, and corrupt vesta's were some of my favorite items before EoC. They could pull in huge margins and I found them relatively safe to flip because the prices didn't change too quickly. I haven't flipped them very much after EoC because EoC killed their prices and most of the items have steadily fallen in price since December. However, I've recently tried flipping some of these items and found that they still tend to have pretty good margins. This flip is a good example of that. The only downside to this item is that it is very very slow (but I prefer slow, inactive flips).- Spoiler:
2 - Statius's Platebody - 1050k - 9.05%
Another example of a pvp armor flip. Put this offer in and left it all day. Took it out before I went to bed and put the sell offer in, when i woke up they all sold. Slow item but relatively good profit.- Spoiler:
3 - Off-hand Drygore Rapier - 760k - 1.26%
I was in "Drygore Pcs" looking to do a drygore flip and noticed someone give the high price for this item. i put an offer in about 800k below and it bought pretty quickly. Put it back in the GE a little less than the high price and it sold overnight.- Spoiler:
4 - Drygore Longsword - 688k - 0.66%
I'm still working of getting used to Drygore items. This was a very quick drygore flip for me using "Drygore Pcs" and Merchz live graphs to get the prices.- Spoiler:
5 - Drygore Mace - 3278k - 3.12%
This was a cool flip. There wasn't a pcer in the "Drygore Pcs" fc and I thought the price was a little too inflated to flip within the margins so I went to Merchz live graphs and looked back at the historical data to decide on a good, safe price to put a buy offer in for. I thought 105m or so would be good so I put the offer in and took a shower when I came back it had bought and I was a little surprised. I put the sell offer in between 108 and 109m and it sold within a minute.- Spoiler:
6 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2095k - 2.37%
I was able to buy a few before being overcut. I wanted to get a few more so I raised my price but was overcut again. I decided to just sell them but they wouldn't sell, so I lowered my sell price and they sold. A little messy but I'll take the profit.- Spoiler:
7 - Saradomin Godsword - 1602k - 1.52%
Good margins but i got overcut and didn't want to fight it so I just cancelled the rest of the offer and put my sell offer in.- Spoiler:
8 - Drygore Rapier - 3000k - 3.17%
I put the buy offer in then waited about an hour before I checked to see if it had bought. It had and, fortunately, it had risen a few mil in that hour. Went ahead and put the sell offer in much higher than I expected to sell it at and luckily it sold pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Not a bad day. Got some nice flips and I'm getting more confident with Drygores.
Date: July 7, 2013
9 - Drygore Rapier - 688k - 0.72%
My first flip of the morning. I was going to try to flip all the drygores but the prices dropped on me for my second flip and it took a while to get rid of it without losing money.- Spoiler:
10 - Saradomin Godsword - 2291k - 1.61%
I can never seem to get very many of these without getting overcut. I raised my buy price once but was only able to get one more. Selling never seems to be a problem though.- Spoiler:
11 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1257k - 3.48%
Same problem with Saradomin Godswords, hard to buy more than 3 or 4 but sells quickly.- Spoiler:
12 - Steadfast Boots - 1849k - 1.79%
It just hit me today that I should try the Glacyte boots. Went pretty well and very quick buy/sell as well.- Spoiler:
13 - Glaiven Boots - 2252k - 4.20%
Decided to try these after Steadfasts and they also proved to be a good flip. I tried Ragefire after this but the margins were too low to consider flipping.- Spoiler:
14 - Off-hand Drygore Longsword - 838k - 1.10%
I wanted to flip a drygore later in the day and this looked like the safest at that moment so I flipped it. Was pretty quick.- Spoiler:
15 - Grimy Irit - 17231k - 17.44%
This was an investment that I started on June 18, so it took about 20 days to complete. Way too long but I'll explain. I had anticipated them to level out at about 1,650 based on the overall trend of the graph and recent peaks and valleys. However, they kept dropping for about 10 more days after I bought my stock of 60k (6 limits using one account) as you can see in the third screenshot of the graph below. I went on vacation and decided to let them sit in the G.E. When I got back a few had sold at the price I set, which I chose based on recent peaks. It took a few more days to sell the rest of my stock and today I was getting a little too impatient and worried they would crash again and decided to dump the last 13k at a little below the buy price. I'll take the 17m profit though.- graphs:
- Spoiler:
16 - Drygore Mace - 788k - 0.76%
Another Drygore flip. Took a while to buy but sold almost instantly- Spoiler:
The day's review - Other than my investment finishing up today was just an ok day. I got stuck with a lot of items that were taking too long too sell and since I'm only using one account I had most of my G.E. slots filled all day so I was a sitting duck for most of the day.
Date: July 8, 2013
17 - Vesta's Longsword - 2390k - 5.25%
I put my buy offer in and managed to get 2 in about and hour and a half. I raised my buy price a bit because I suspected I was being overcut and managed to get 2 more before going to bed. I put the sell offer in before I went to bed and they had all sold when I woke up.- Spoiler:
18 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1734k - 2.53%
I checked the sell offer again after they stopped buying and it was within 50k of my buy offer so i sold that one 5k below and put the sell offer in for the original high price and it took a bit to start selling but once they did they sold quickly.- Spoiler:
19 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 794k - 2.03%
Noticed someone say they bought not instant for 39.5m in the fc so I put a buy offer in for 300k below that and it bought pretty quickly. I put my sell offer in higher than what I sold it at but it wasn't selling so I lowered it some.- Spoiler:
20 - Saradomin Godsword - 1373k - 0.65%
Managed to get 6 of these without getting overcut this time. The margins were lower than normal though but still a 1m+ flip. Buy was quicker than normal and sell was very quick.- Spoiler:
21 - Glaiven Boots - 1935k - 4.58%
Bought 4 very quickly then they stopped buying so I raised the buy price and got 2 more. Before I sold them I checked the high price again by buying another 5% above mid and sold it for a 5k loss and luckily the high price had actually risen 200k since the first time I price checked it. So I put the sell offer in a little below the new high price and they sold pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
22 - Steadfast Boots - 2919k - 1.74%
These bought pretty quickly, but wouldn't sell so I lowered my sell price twice and it took about an hour before they started selling, but once they did it went pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
23 - Ragefire Boots - 1025k - 1.51%
I really like these all 3 of these boots. Great margins, quick and smooth flips. All 9 of these bought very quickly and sold very quickly.- Spoiler:
24 - Drygore Rapier - 1399k - 1.44%
I noticed from the fc and Merchz that these were fluctuating between 98b (b as in instant buy price) and 99b, so I put a buy offer in about 97.1m. It took a while to fill and I wanted to stretch the margins a bit since I noticed they were fluctuating from about 97m-99m, so I sold for 98.5m and that filled rather quickly.- Spoiler:
25 - Zamorakian Spear - 1431k - 3.33%
I was looking through my merchanting log for other potential flips and this is another item I flipped regularly before EoC. It was a fast flip with pretty good margins. I'll be adding this item to my rotation.- Spoiler:
26 - Statius's Warhammer - 2089k - 5.24%
I put the buy offer in and only managed to get 2 so I raised the buy offer in a different G.E. slot and went to bed. Only 4 more had bought when I woke up. I rechecked the high price and it was within 10k of the original buy price so I put the sell offer in. It took about 8 hours to sell all of them.- Spoiler:
27 - Saradomin Godsword - 3729k - 1.33%
I wanted to get one more quick flip in before bed so I tried flipping these. Only managed to get 3 before being overcut or maybe I wasn't even overcut. I was just trying to get this flip done quickly because they had great margins so I raised the buy price and managed to get 5 more. Put the sell in and they sold quickly. Pretty good margins for such a fast flip. One of my best recent sara godswords.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Very good day for me. Made 20m+ profit today and I'd say it was my best day this week. I'm building a nice list of items that consistently make 1m+. I got a lot of good flips today but no really special flips. Grinding out gp's is the way to go.
Date: July 9, 2013
28 - Glaiven Boots - 1174k - 3.35%
Did this one right before bed late at night. Got 5 before being overcut. sold somewhat slowly. Basic flip nothing special.- Spoiler:
29 - Steadfast Boots - 1461k - 0.77%
Pretty low margins for these so I guess that's why they bought so quickly. Selling was slow. I had to drop my sell price once but it still took a few hours to sell.- Spoiler:
30 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1790k - 1.65%
They bought normally but only sold 3 at the original high price and that took a while. Lowered my sell price but they would not sell for a few hours. I decided to just leave them in the G.E. at that price overnight and sure enough they sold by the morning.- Spoiler:
31 - Ragefire Boots - 1049k - 2.21%
Bought before going to bed and sold overnight. I don't know if I was overcut or not but I was tired and just pulled the buy offer because I wanted to sleep.- Spoiler:
32 - Drygore Rapier - 3399k - 3.46%
I was looking at these on Merchz live graphs and noticed the had risen from 98m to 102m and dropped back down to 98m. I put a buy offer in a little above 98m and it bought rather quickly. I put the sell offer in between 101-102m and let it sit overnight. Sure enough it sold by morning.- Spoiler:
33 - Steadfast Boots - 1672k - 1.00%
Very fast flip. The whole flip completed in about 20 minutes. The buy took longer than the sell and they stopped buying at 8 so I suspect I was overcut but really can't complain about this one.- Spoiler:
34 - Saradomin Godsword - 1385k - 0.44%
Lower Margins than normal so I suspect that's why I was able to get 9 quickly. Selling, however, was much slower as with most of my items today.- Spoiler:
35 - Zamorakian Spear - 935k - 1.92%
Sub 1m flip but decent margins for the speed. It's a lot easier to get a full limit of these than with Sara Godswords or Abs so I'll take the quick profit.- Spoiler:
36 - Saradomin Godsword - 1759k - 0.63%
Started selling in a different slot before they finished buying so I sold 6 then bought another 2. It was a slow sell and a bit of a waste of space becasue I was using 2 G.E. slots to sell for the same price but I didn't want to pull out a halfway filled offer.- Spoiler:
37 - Steadfast Boots - 2339k - 1.26%
These boots have been very stubborn today. Steads are the only ones that are working well today. Bought these fine but they wouldn't sell at the high price. I ended up lowering my sell price 3 times and ultimately sold over 100k below the original sell price. The prices seem to be shifting more than usual today.- Spoiler:
38 - Spirit Kyatt Pouch - 2627k - 5.15%
Extremely slow flip. It took 2 days to buy and another 2 days to sell. I intitially bought these because they were a recommended item on Merchz tier 2 suggestions. I bought about 500 instantly but they kept steadily buying so I left it in. They steadily bought for 2 days and steadily sold for another 2.- Spoiler:
39 - Zamorakian Spear - 834k - 2.49%
My limit was reset, and since I try to flip the items that work for me every 4 hours, I flipped these. They had pretty good margins but unfortunately I was only able to get 6 of them, 3 at first then 3 after raising my price.- Spoiler:
40 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 800k - 0.83%
Not the best margins which would exlpain the fast speed. Same thing with the above flip, my limit was reset and I needed to flip it again before bed.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Another 20m+ profit day. A lot of items were stubborn today and prices fluctuated more than normal. I tried to flip my rotation of items every 4 hours but some of the boots were giving me trouble and margins seemed lower than normal. About 8-9m of my profit came from overnights.
Date: July 10, 2013
41 - Ragefire Boots - 900k - 1.99%
A late night flip. Unfortunately I only got 6 of them. I didn't want to clutter up my G.E. history so I just went ahead and put my sell offer in.- Spoiler:
42 - Drygore Rapier - 1399k - 1.38%
Since the prices were rising I decided to overnight this rather than flipping it normally. I was pretty sure they would go to at least 103m sometime in the night so I thought 102.5m was a reasonable offer. Sure enough it sold by morning.- Spoiler:
43 - Saradomin Godsword - 1200k - 0.49%
These had pretty good margins when I price checked them. I only bought 1 before being overcut and bumped up my buy price. I tried to sell these overnight at the original high price but they wouldn't sell overnight. That made me a little worried so I rechecked the high price and it was about 100k less than the original high price. I thought I would break even or lose money on this flip but luckily I still pulled out a 1m+ flip.- Spoiler:
44 - Vesta's Longsword - 2300k - 6.95%
I put an offer in before going to bed but only got 1 in about an hour so I bumped my offer up a bit and left it overnight. 2 more bought overnight. When I woke up I checked the high price again and sold the 3 in about an hour.- Spoiler:
45 - Saradomin Godsword - 1170k - 0.37%
My first full flip of the morning. I haven't gotten very good margins on these lately, which is why I'm able to get full limits quickly. I could try to stretch the margins but I'd rather just finish the item quickly and move on to the next one.- Spoiler:
46 - Glaiven Boots - 800k - 1.41%
Took a while to buy these so I stopped my offer after 8 and bought my last boot before I hit limit high to retest the high price. The margin had narrowed a bit so I didn't make as much money as I could have.- Spoiler:
47 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1390k - 1.24%
Put the sell offer in before I went to the capping event. After the event only 8/9 had sold so I lowered my sell price a few times for the last one to get it to sell.- Spoiler:
48 - Ragefire Boots - 1125k - 1.61%
Pretty basic flip. Bought normally and put the sell offer in while watching tv. I come back and they had sold.- Spoiler:
49 - Saradomin Godsword - 2160k - 0.69%
Since most of my other items were on limit I decided to try something different. The margins I pc'ed were terrible so I bought was below the low price using my previous flips of this item today as a guide. They actually bought rather quickly and sold while I was watching tv.- Spoiler:
The day's review - A slower day than the last few. I didn't have as many overnights as the previous day. I also went to a friends house to spend the night, so I wasn't able to get as many flips in.
Date: July 11, 2013
50 - Glaiven Boots - 990k - 1.58%
These wouldn't sell for about an hour at the original high price so I kept lowering my offer by 10k until they started selling.- Spoiler:
51. Drygore Rapier - 1499k - 1.45%
I stayed away from Drygores yesterday because they were a little too volitile but today they settled down some. I was following this item on Merchz and they were pretty stable at 104-105m but would take small dips down to 103-104m. I was able to buy at 103.2 and sell at 104.7 pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
52 - Saradomin Godsword - 1825k - 0.65%
When I put in my initial buy offer I was only able to 1 so I had to raise my buy price. About an hour later I had 7 more. Selling was also difficult too; I had to keep dropping my sell price in order for them to start selling. They sold while I was at the soul wars event.- Spoiler:
53 - Ragefire Boots - 925k - 2.10%
I had to bump up my buy offer after only getting 1 from my first offer. I tried selling a little under mid instead of the high price (which was below mid) but had no luck. After a while I just brought my sell offer down to the original high price.- Spoiler:
54 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1860k - 1.87%
After my original price check I was buying at around 12m. Only 1 bought and i kept bumping up my price but no luck. I decided to sell the 1 I bought instantly and it sold for 300k more than I was trying to buy at. I then put a new buy offer in and rechecked the high price in another G.E. slot. When I was selling I only managed to sell 1 before being undercut so I went ahead and lowered my price to sell the remaining items.- Spoiler:
55 - Steadfast Boots - 1350k - 0.76%
I bought 1 then canceled my offer but decided to put a buy offer back at the same price. Buying was pretty slow, I suspect I was overcut a few times but just waited it out. I sold while I was watching tv.- Spoiler:
56 - Saradomin Godsword - 2320k - 0.83%
I price checked these and the margins were lower than 100k. Instead of waiting on trying again later, I set my own buy price much lower than the low price when I price checked. It took a while to buy, and I got overcut a few times but waited it out. I also set my own sell price but had to lower it a few times. I started selling after I got 4 because I wasn't sure if I would get more. I sold 4 and bought 4 so I had to sell in 2 different offers.- Spoiler:
57 - Ragefire Boots - 1235k - 4.38%
When I pc'ed these they had 500k margins so it was difficult to buy many of these. When I went to sell these I had to drop my sell price numerous times because they would not sell.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was out much of the day and only one of my overnight offers bought, and that item still hasn't sold. Less profit than I should be getting in a day but meh life happens.
Date: July 12, 2013
58 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 900k - 1.20%
I had to bump up my buy offer a bit but luckily the margins stayed pretty decent when I sold.- Spoiler:
59 - Corrupt Vesta's Longsword - 1610k - 8.65%
I put in an overnight offer to buy these before I went to sleep over at a friends. It was the only one of my overnights that bought. Took over 12 hours to sell.- Spoiler:
60 - Saradomin Godsword - 1605k - 0.50%
I bought these right before going to bed. I put the sell offer in and a few of them actually sold before I shut down my computer but the rest sold overnight.- Spoiler:
61 - Steadfast Boots - 1380k - 0.89%
Bought these before going to bed. I put the sell offer in at the original high price and none sold overnight. I was surprised and a little worried because they had recently been falling in price. I rechecked the high price again and luckily I was still able to make a nice profit on this item.- Spoiler:
62 - Vesta's Longsword - 4505k - 8.04%
When I pc'ed these they had relatively average margins for this item (~400k). I suspected the margins might stretch some and I knew it would be easier to get this item with smaller margins so I was lucky to get 5. I tried to test the high price again but I couldn't buy at 12450k, so I put my sell offer in at that price and let it sit overnight. 3 sold and then I had to lower my sell price to get the rest to sell.- Spoiler:
63 - Zamorakian Spear - 920k - 1.85%
I was able to get 8 of these at the original low price which, compared some of my other flips today, makes it a pretty easy, simple flip.- Spoiler:
64 - Ragefire Boots - 1170k - 1.82%
Another simple flip. Bought before the pest control event and sold while I was at the pest control event.- Spoiler:
65 - Steadfast Boots - 720k - 0.62%
This one was weird. I pc'ed this item then put a buy offer in as an overcut of the low price, which should have given me the best offer to get these boots. However, none bought and I had to raise my buy price over 100k before I could even get any stock. The high price hadn't changed and I was able to sell normally but the profit wasn't that great.- Spoiler:
66 - Saradomin Godsword - 1915k - 0.66%
This flip was very similar to the previous Steadfast flip. I wasn't able to get any stock at the low price. I had to raise my buy price numerous times but selling was smooth.- Spoiler:
67 - Steadfast Boots - 850k - 0.88%
Basic flip. I started selling after I got 4 because I wasn't sure if I was on limit or not, but 1 more did eventually buy. I really need to start noting down the times I bought items to take better advantage of 4hr limits.- Spoiler:
68 - Saradomin Godsword - 2020k - 0.62%
Got overcut after buying 1 item. Put another offer in and started selling before I was finished buying because I wasn't sure if I was on limit. I wasn't and managed to get a few more so that's why I sold in 2 different offers.- Spoiler:
69 - Zamorakian Spear - 900k - 1.65%
Another easy flip. Unfortunately not 1m+ but decent margins for this item.- Spoiler:
70 - Ragefire Boots - 900k - 1.38%
I seem to be getting a lot of 100k margins on these. Thats not so bad because I can finish this flip quickly and move on to the next item.- Spoiler:
71 - Glaiven Boots - 1275k - 2.05%
Started selling after 7. Those sold quickly and I was able to buy 2 more. I put these in at the same price as the previous 7 but only 1 sold, so I had to lower my sell price a bit to sell that last one.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Another day with 20m+ profit. I got a good overnight with that vls which is always a good way to start the day. I feel like my margins aren't as good as they were but I won't complain about 20m profit a day.
Date: July 13, 2013
72 - Saradomin Godsword - 1665k - 0.50%
Nothing special about this flip. Pretty much the same flip I've done many times. However, I did log the last time I bought this item and was able to buy again right at 4 hrs.- Spoiler:
73 - Steadfast Boots - 1040k - 0.68%
Bought these before going to bed. Sold overnight. pretty basic.- Spoiler:
74 - Zamorakian Spear - 2205k - 4.11%
I difficult time buying these and had to keep raising my buy offer using 3 different G.E. windows (most of my other items were on limit). Instead of selling within the margins, I decided to set my own sell price and sell overnight. When I woke up they had all sold.- Spoiler:
75 - Glaiven Boots - 860k - 6.27%
When I first checked the prices the margins weren't that great. I was only able to buy 2 and could not get any more even after raising my price. I rechecked the high price and it had risen quite a bit. I decided to just sell the 2 I got and take the profit.- Spoiler:
76 - Steadfast Boots - 1310k - 0.77%
My first full flip of the day. It was also a very fast flip. Decent margins but can't complain about the speed.- Spoiler:
77 - Saradomin Godsword - 3575k - 1.06%
I bought 4 and started selling immediately because the margins were very large and I wanted to take advantage of them. I then bought 5 more at a slightly higher price and then sold those at a slightly lower price.- Spoiler:
78 - Zamorakian Spear - 1340k - 2.79%
Managed to buy these pretty quickly. I believe I was undercut after I sold 3 so I had to lower my sell price in order to sell the rest.- Spoiler:
79 - Ragefire Boots - 594k - 1.39%
I had bought and sold 2 of these earlier but they did not profit enough for me to log it, so I was only able to get 6 before I hit limit.- Spoiler:
80 - Ascension Crossbow - 2299k - 0.67%
This was my first attempt to flip this item. I looked at Merchz graphs and the prices in the fc. The fc said the price was 343s, so I bought 1 instant. I got that one for 346m and quickly sold that for a 10k loss. I then put a buy offer in above 343m and got that pretty quickly. I then put the sell offer in below 346m and that sold quickly. I'll take 2m+ for my first attempt of this item. After I completed this offer it seems like the price rose some so I might have missed out on some profit but I wanted to play it safe with an unfamiliar item.- Spoiler:
81 - Steadfast Boots - 1630k - 1.07%
Not bad margins on these. I had no problem buying these but had to drop my sell price in order to sell my last one.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Had a pretty busy day today, celebrated a birthday and was out much of the day. Only really got through 1 full set of flips but still made over 16m. With IRL things in consideration, I'd say it was a pretty good day. Many items had larger than normal. I also tried my first ascension flip and it went pretty well.
Date: July 14, 2013
82 - Saradomin Godsword - 2400k - 1.29%
I was only able to buy 5 of these before being overcut. I raised my buy price a few times but had no luck. So I rechecked the high price and it had shot up, so I quickly put my sell offer in and was able to get a very nice flip.- Spoiler:
83 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1240k - 1.44%
Like with the previous flip, the high price rose from the time I first price checked and when I finished buying.- Spoiler:
84 - Glaiven Boots - 1230k - 1.89%
Bought these at night. I had a little trouble buying these but managed to get 9 before going to bed. I sold overnight.- Spoiler:
85 - Saradomin Godsword - 6740k - 4.32%
These are going crazy right now. They rose about 1.5-2m overnight and I was a little worried about flipping these. I was only able to get 4 and couldn't get anymore from raising my offer. I rechecked the high price it had risen almost 1m so I was able to get huge profits on these.- Spoiler:
86 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2926k - 4.10%
Just like with the previous flip, the high price rose quite a bit and I was able to get a nice flip. Since I only got 2 from my initial buy offer I had to raise my buy price substantially to get enough stock for a viable flip. Selling was rather quick.- Spoiler:
87 - Ragefire Boots - 975k - 1.46%
Had some trouble buying and had to raise my buy price once. I sold these while I was at the stealing creation event.- Spoiler:
88 - Saradomin Godsword - 2340k - 2.92%
These were still rising so I tried to buy more. I had to raise my buy price a few times and was ultimately only able to get 2 more. I was still able to get 1m margins on these.- Spoiler:
89 - Steel Bar - 660k - 7.55%
I had to flip this item for the merchanting log of the week contest and didn't expect it to profit very well. I bought overnight and the price rose a good bit by morning so I was able to sell at a much higher price than I expected. I wasn't going to add it here but it worked out much better than expected.- Spoiler:
90 - Steadfast Boots - 2400k - 1.43%
I started selling after I got 6. I sold 5/6 and bought 3 more to fulfill my limit. I had to lower my sell price in order to sell the last 4.- Spoiler:
91 - Saradomin Godsword - 2950k - 0.80%
The prices were still pretty high when I flipped these. They had great margins so I was very worried when I bought all 9 very quickly. With the prices being so far above mid and the margins being so great I should not have been able to get 9 so quickly. I panicked and tried selling 150k below the high price. 5 of these sold in about an hour. This was ok but I was worried the price was dropping below my original buy price. I continued to drop my sell price until they started selling and luckily I still made out with a decent profit.- Spoiler:
92 - Ragefire Boots - 1040k - 1.55%
Everything went smoothly with this flip until the very end. I had trouble selling my last 2 items. I had to lower my sell price a bit to sell them.- Spoiler:
93 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1060k - 2.18%
I put an offer in for 9 but only got 4. I rechecked the high price and it had risen about 50k. I immediately put those 4 in to sell and raised my buy offer but did not get any more.- Spoiler:
94 - Zamorakian Spear - 930k - 2.13%
As you can see from the screenshots, I had a tough time buying these. Ultimately, I was able to buy 7 of them and sold them all in one window.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I have almost 27m profit here for today and another 2m flip that didn't get logged, so almost 30m profit. Most of my items today had crazy margins today, especially the sara godswords. It was very risky flipping them today with a substantial and rapid price rise, but big profit comes from big flips.

Re: Zakat's Merchanting Diary
- Week 2:
- Week 2
Starting Total Merchantable Bank: 889m
Ending Total Merchantable Bank: 974m
Weekly summary: Made 136m in pure profit (had some screw ups too) this week which I think is pretty good. I'll continue improving but I'm happy with where I'm at right now. I had a few good days but also had a lot of technical problems that kept me offline. I found a few more items I like and I'm building a pretty good list of items that I feel comfortable with. I still need to work on being more efficient with my flips and taking better advantage of the 4 hour limits.
Date: July 15, 2013
1 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 680k - 1.40%
This was a follow up of my last abs flip. Easy buy just had to raise my buy price a lot. The margins were significantly lower for the sell.- Spoiler:
2 - Drygore Mace - 1599k - 1.56%
This flip took a long time. I bought overnight yesterday and put the sell offer between 103-104m but had no luck selling all day. I decieded to stick it out and ended up making 1.5m.- Spoiler:
3 - Saradomin Godsword - 1860k - 0.94%
I bought these before going to bed and sold overnight. I woke up and had no internet and wasn't able to check the internet until later that night from a hotspot and had just enough time to take my offers off the G.E.- Spoiler:
4 - Zamorakian Spear - 960k - 2.54%
Same as the last flip. Bought at night and sold overnight but didn't get a chance to check my flips until that night.- Spoiler:
5 - Steadfast Boots - 920k - 0.55%
Same as the previous 2 flips.- Spoiler:
The day's review - All of these flips were after midnight my time and before I went to sleep. I was unable to do any other flips because my internet was out when I woke up. I didn't have internet for nearly 48 hours so I'm getting a terrible start to this week.
Date: July 16, 2013
6 - Steadfast Boots - 1080k - 0.61%
Pretty simple flip. My first flip of the day at about 9 pm my time (just got my internet back). The prices of these had risen about 1m from the last time I flipped them so prehaps I missed out on some profit from flipping them while they rise.- Spoiler:
7 - Saradomin Godsword - 3330k - 1.33%
These are still rising from the last time I flipped these. When an item is rising they tend to have bigger margins and make better flips.- Spoiler:
8 - Zamorakian Spear - 1195k - 6.43%
I only bought 2 from my initial buy offer and raised it by almost 100k and was still only able to buy 1 more. I rechecked my high price nd it has risen 150k so I just decided to sell the 3 I already had.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Didn't get my internet back until about 9 pm so didn't really have much time to flip. Hopefully I can have a full day tomorrow.
Date: July 17, 2013
9 - Saradomin Godsword - 1620k - 0.43%
I managed to buy these pretty smoothly. After 30 minutes of trying to sell only 1 had sold. Instead of lowering my sell price I decided to just stick it out and do something else while I wait. It took longer than it should have but the flip completed.- Spoiler:
10 - Steadfast Boots - 1010k - 1.03%
I initially was only able to get 1 of these with my buy offer. I raised my buy price and got 4 more. Selling took a while too. I sold 2 of them before they stopped selling and checked the high price again. The high price had lowered by 100k but I decided to just stick it out. About an hour later they started selling again.- Spoiler:
11 - Glaiven Boots - 1190k - 2.32%
This flip initially had much larger margins. I was only able to get 1 at the intitial low price and sold that instantly for a 300k profit. I then put a buy price in at that price and sold at the original high price.- Spoiler:
12 - Virtus Wand - 1000k - 0.43%
This is a much different kind of flip than I normally do. Most of my regular items were on limit or were not working so I decided to look through Merchz for a new flip. I had no idea these had a limit of 5 and I usually stay away from Nex n SS items so I thought it could be interesting. I bought 1 instantly to test the high price against the fc's price. I bought the 1 instantly for 700k above the fc's low price. I sold that 5k below the price I bought it at and put a buy offer in at 117.05m for 2 but had no luck. I raised my buy price to 117.2m and got 2 pretty quickly. I put the sell offer in for 117.7m and both sold in the hour I was away from my pc.- Spoiler:
13 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 900k - 1.87%
Same with the above flip, I needed and item to flip. I wanted to flip a drygore and this seemed the most stable to me. It bought pretty quickly but had some trouble selling. I suspect it is because I put my sell offer as 49m flat when the fc said 49b instead of undercutting by 100k or so.- Spoiler:
14 - Ragefire Boots - 1080k - 1.58%
I didn't get a chance to flip this earlier in the day because I accidentally bought a full limit instantly when I was trying to buy steads. This flip looks like a typical ragefire flip but it wasn't. It took about 45 minutes before they even started selling and about 2 hours before they all sold. I have been very patient today with my flips and haven't been quick to lower the margins.- Spoiler:
15 - Black Dragon Leather - 3425k - 7.41%
Another example of a flip I don't typically do. When I pc'ed it they had 100 gp margins but i later checked the high price again and it had risen 300 gp. I immediately took my buy offer off the G.E. and put the sell offer in.- Spoiler:
16 - Saradomin Godsword - 1185k - 0.35%
This was a follow up of my last sgs flip. I decided to bring back my 2nd account. I had to raise my buy price multiple times. The high price hadn't changed so margins were not that good. Selling was also very slow (seems to be a theme today).- Spoiler:
17 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1000k - 0.94%
I flipped this one on my second account because I put a sgs flip in on my first account and realized I wouldn't be able to do any other flips on that account because I split my cash between the accounts. Because of the sgs flip on the first account, I put a barrage of flips in on my second account. This is one of them. Difficult buy had to raise my price to get the full limit but selling was smooth unlike the trouble I was getting from these earlier in the day.- Spoiler:
18 - Black Dragon Leather - 4573k - 14.79%
I flipped these earlier in the day and they had great margins then, but they were nothing compared to the margins I got when I pc'ed this time. The margins were over 1.2k ea or 12m for the limit with the same buy price I had bought at earlier. When I put my sell offer in I was lucky to sell a quick 3k. However, after that the high price started dropping pretty quickly and I managed to sell 3 and then 1. I kept lowering my sell offer then I got another big offer that took care of the rest of my stock.- Spoiler:
The day's review - The was not a very good day in terms of merchanting. Pretty much every item was slower than normal or had bumps in the road. I did try some different items today and the Black Dragon Leather worked wonderfully. I renewed the subscription on my second account and split my wealth between the two accounts so we'll see how that works out tomorrow.
Date: July 18, 2013
19 - Ragefire Boots - 1400k - 2.35%
Decent margins for these. Pretty smooth flip. They stopped buying at 8 and the margins were pretty good so I went ahead and put the sell offer in instead of trying to get one more to fulfill the limit.- Spoiler:
20 - Black Dragon Leather - 5608k - 21.03%
Another one of these. I noticed that the margins had gone back to their previous 1.2k margins. I got overcut and pulled out the buy offer and put in a sell offer. They all sold at once from one buyer in the G.E.- Spoiler:
21 - Saradomin Godsword - 930k - 0.24%
I couldn't sell these for the life of me and it turned out to be a pretty bad flip. I sold the one pretty quickly but it took another 2 hours before they started selling again and only 2 more had sold by the time I went to sleep. I left it in overnight and they sold by morning.- Spoiler:
22 - Saradomin Godsword - 2260k - 0.77%
This flip was right after the previous flip on my second account. It worked out a lot better too. I had some trouble buying as in the case normally when items have pretty good margins. I put the sell offer in before going to sleep and they sold overnight.- Spoiler:
23 - Saradomin Godsword - 960k - 0.38%
I was only able to buy 6 of these because I split my wealth between 2 accounts and didn't have enough on my 1st account because I had other flips going. I need to start doing the lower wealth items first and this one last to take better advantage of my wealth.- Spoiler:
24 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2160k - 2.05%
I flipped this while flipping the previous sgs flip. These two flips sucked all my wealth and if these flips hadn't gone smoothly it could have really messed up my day in terms of merchanting.- Spoiler:
25 - Steadfast Boots - 1215k - 0.76%
It took a few hours to sell these. I was patient and waited it out while I did other things irl and in game.- Spoiler:
26 - Off-hand Drygore mace - 1000k - 2.10%
My flips were pretty stagnant and I had some extra gp so I checked out the drygore pcs fc. Someone said they instant sold an off-hand drygore mace at 47.6 so I put a buy offer 10k above that. That bought quickly and I put a sell offer 1m above my buy price and that sold quickly. I was rather surprised at the speed of it.- Spoiler:
27 - Ragefire Boots - 840k - 1.42%
I had flipped a few of these on my 1st account but made less than 500k so I didn't add it. Adjusting the prices a bit I was able to pull off a typical ragefire flip.- Spoiler:
28 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 1033k - 2.17%
This was my first coinshare buy. Unfortunately it was only a 30k difference from my buy price. I flipped this using the same prices from my last ohm flip on my other account.- Spoiler:
29 - Drygore Mace - 1000k - 0.90%
I noticed someone in the fc say they instant bought one of these for 112.5m. I put a buy offer in for 1m less than that. It took a while to buy but sold very quickly.- Spoiler:
30 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1180k - 3.10%
After my success with black dragon leather I decided to try some other dragon leathers. I put an offer in for blue and royal on my two accounts and the blue flip completed pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
31 - Ragefire Boots - 945k - 1.42%
It can be very hard keeping up with every flip I do so I have to make small notes about the flips before I write this summary. This item was unusually slow and took too long to sell for the profit I got.- Spoiler:
32 - Royal Dragon Leather - 1088k - 8.27%
I put this flip in when I put my last blue dragon leather flip in the G.E. I got severely overcut and, because the margins were so good, I just went ahead with my sell offer.- Spoiler:
33 - Glaiven Boots - 2160k - 8.36%
These really surprised me. I've never seen and been able to flip these with such high margins. They were trading way below mid so I watched these carefully and put my sell offer in after about 15 minutes of not buying any.- Spoiler:
34 - Saradomin Godsword - 1605k - 0.42%
This flip took about 3 hours to complete. I was able to buy my limit fairly quickly but I believe the high price dropped before I put my sell offer in. I tried selling at the original high price but they wouldn't sell. Instead of lowering my price I just waited it out because I was confident the item wasn't going to crash on me and it paid off.- Spoiler:
35 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1850k - 4.71%
After I had bought my limit of these I checked the prices again on my other account. The high price was actually lower than the price I bought at. I feared that the item crashed on me but I put the sell offer in at the original high price. I had no luck selling for about an hour but I was very surprised when they had all sold about 15 minutes after that.- Spoiler:
36 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 950k - 1.63%
I have been having trouble selling these all day. They are trading way below mid so I was constantly worried they were still dropping on me. I had to drop my sell offer about 60k just to get them to sell. Ultimately I managed a decent flip.- Spoiler:
37 - Ragefire Boots - 2660k - 5.26%
These had very good margins to begin with. I bought 7 then rechecked the high price. The high price had risen about 100k so I was very fortunate to get a very good flip.- Spoiler:
38 - Glaiven Boots - 995k - 2.08%
I had to raise my buy price once but other than that it was a pretty standard flip.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Today was my first full day flipping on two accounts. I made over 30m with 20 flips but found it difficult to balance the two accounts. I flipped more drygores than normal and flipped more dragon leather which I'm finding to be very good flips. About 10m of my profit today came from late night and overnight flips which is always a nice way to start the day. I can definitely get more out of having two accounts but it becomes overly time consuming and I was pretty happy with my profits today. I'll get more used to it in the coming days.
Date: July 19, 2013
39 - Blue Dragon Leather - 3089k - 8.13%
Managed to get a nice overnight flip of these. Bought before going to bed and set my sell price at a previous high price because I was confident I could sell it at that price even though the high price had dropped some as I was buying.- Spoiler:
40 - Ragefire Boots - 855k - 1.29%
Quick simple flip here. I had a Sgs flip on one account and many lower wealth flips on the other. this was one of them and completed very quickly.- Spoiler:
41 - Glaiven Boots - 2700k - 4.37%
These had been trading way below mid and when I pc'ed them this time they had a similar low price to the last time I flipped them but the high price was almost 200k higher. I saw it as a great opportunity to do a quick flip with great margins and I took advantage of it.- Spoiler:
42 - Blue Dragon Leather - 6119k - 17.78%
I pc'ed these and they had huge margins and were trading 1k over mid and 1k higher than the last time I flipped these so I knew it would be a very risky flip. I did it anyway but did it with caution. I pulled my buy offer as soon as I got a big offer and rechecked the high price. It had dropped about 100 gp so I put my sell offer in and waited for them to sell.- Spoiler:
43 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1035k - 0.99%
I've had some trouble flipping these lately because they have been falling in price. After I bought my limit I made sure to put my sell offer in quickly and I undercut the high price more than normal because I was worried they might fall more.- Spoiler:
44 - Ragefire Boots - 800k - 1.36%
Not the best profit but this item is very quick and easy and I try to do it as often as possible.- Spoiler:
45 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1340k - 3.41%
I thought the low price was reasonable and I saw a potential for the high price to rise. After buying my limit I checked the high price on my other account and it hadn't changed so I went ahead and put my sell offer in and they all sold rather quickly.- Spoiler:
46 - Glaiven Boots - 1330k - 2.76%
These have had great margins all day. Unfortunately the margins weren't as high as earlier but still a very nice flip.- Spoiler:
47 - Black Dragon Leather - 1822k - 7.99%
I had flipped these the other day and actually got stuck with 10k of them when they crashed back down to the G.E. price from trading about 1k above mid. I have been checking the high and low prices often and noticed the high price had risen about 100 gp while the low price stayed the same. I saw a good opportunity for a rise so I checked the high price again after I got overcut and sure enough it rose 300 gp. I put my sell offer in and made off with a decent profit.- Spoiler:
48 - Ragefire Boots - 1200k - 1.83%
Managed to get 4 before being overcut. I kept bumping up my buy price until they started buying again. I ended up raising the price 30k ea but still managed to get a full limit and a decent flip.- Spoiler:
49 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 1000k - 2.12%
For some reason this is my go to drygore flip. I really don't know why I like maybe the familiarity I have with it. I got the prices for this from the fc then checked Merchz to make sure they weren't doing anything crazy. Buying was pretty quick but selling was rather slow.- Spoiler:
50 - Steadfast Boots - 1280k - 0.81%
I neglected these after a flip I attempted earlier in the day that resulted in marginal profit. I realized I hadn't flipped this in a while and put an offer in.- Spoiler:
51 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1635k - 3.67%
I had actually bought 1 more of these but did not screenshot it. I sold that one instantly and made 400k off it. The instant sell price was the original high price so I put my sell offer in 200k above that.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was without power for a few hours today but I don't think it had that big of an effect on my merchanting. I abandoned some of my regular items today in favor of more dragon leather flips. I still made 24m today even though I put in a lot less effort than yesterday.
Date: July 20, 2013
52 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1950k - 4.24%
This was a follow up of my last flip. I knew they were on the rise and I wanted to take advantage of this flip on my other account. I managed to buy 3 before going to sleep and sold overnight.- Spoiler:
53 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1890k - 1.78%
I knew the high price was a bit higher than the last time I flipped these and I wasn't confident they were rising so I knew it would be difficult to sell these. I put the sell offer in overnight and only 7/9 sold by morning. I left it in a few more hours and the other two sold.- Spoiler:
54 - Green Dragon Leather - 1514k - 3.84%
I bought about 600 before being overcut. I raised my buy price to fulfill my limit and sold overnight. I had to raise my buy price about 200 gp and I knew it would be a risky flip but I was fairly confident they would sell overnight.- Spoiler:
55 - Royal Dragon Leather - 1091k - 2.39%
Another ovenight flip. Pretty good margins but I've seen better. Buying was exceptionally slow compared to other dragon leathers.- Spoiler:
56 - Steadfast Boots - 1080k - 0.60%
My limit was reset right before I went to bed and I stayed up while they bought. When I got my limit I put the sell offer in and went to bed. They had all sold when I woke up.- Spoiler:
57 - Black Dragon Leather - 16665k - 29.47%
Well this was an interesting flip. They had been riding a high but had crashed down to the mid price. I decied to flip them as I was pretty sure they had stabled out. I bought 276 before being overcut. I raised my buy price because they had risen some and I was hoping to get a 3m flip out of it. I ended up buying a full 10k ( apparently I had bought the 276 4 hours before. I waited a while because I thought the high price could rise to about 5850 (it was at about 5650 at the time). I checked the high price again before going to bed and it had risen all the way to 8k+. I thought it was just a freak occurence that the high price would rise that high and I thought it would come right back down. However, I just said yolo and put my sell offer in at the crazy high high price I just found and went to sleep. I was very surprised when I woke up that half had sold. I rechecked the high price and it had dropped some but was around 6800 still very high. The high price kept dropping and I sold off the rest of my stock as it was dropping.- Spoiler:
58 - Glaiven Boots - 3460k - 4.59%
These have been trading well below mid. From my experience with them I was fairly confident they had bottomed out and where going to rise. I was going to active flip these before going to bed but I decided to leave both my buy offers for them (got overcut and had to raise buy offer but left other offer in as well) in the G.E. overnight hoping to get all 17. I got 11 and by morning the high price had risen quite a bit and I was able to make a nice profit.- Spoiler:
59 - Armadyl battlestaff - 1500k - 4.25%
I checked the high price again when I got overcut after buying 3 and could not buy anymore at a higher price. The high price rose 270k so I just went ahead and put up my sell offer.- Spoiler:
60 - Saradomin Godsword - 1600k - 0.77%
These initially had huge margins but the high price dropped about 200k as I was buying these and I feared they were crashing so I put my sell offer in as soon as I knew I was overcut. I still managed pretty good margins on these despite with drop.- Spoiler:
61 - Steadfast Boots - 1900k - 1.98%
Great margins on these. When you get such good margins on an item it is very difficult to buy a full limit of it. As you can see from this flip and the previous 2 I got great margins but was only able to get 3-5 items each.- Spoiler:
62 - Steadfast Boots - 2430k - 1.40%
This was a follow up of my last flip on my other account. Pretty much the same flip except I was able to get a full limit and the margins were smaller.- Spoiler:
63 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1890k - 1.75%
Follow up flip of my last abs on a different account. Like the steadfast flip it was similar except I got a full limit and margins were smaller. I knew the high price was a little too high and I was worried it would drop on me throughout the flip. After selling 8/9 it did drop on me by a good bit but I managed to lower my sell price and still come out with a good flip.- Spoiler:
64 - Saradomin Godsword - 1400k - 0.48%
I was only able to buy 7 because of cash restrictions. I had to raise my buy price substantially and the high prcie dropped on me. I think the item is finally starting to crash. it was annoying but still got a decent flip.- Spoiler:
65 - Glaiven Boots - 1140k - 1.99%
This flip was pretty hectic. I was flipping it on 2 accounts at once trying to get it done before midnight and trying to hit 40m profit for the day. Sadly I came up a bit short. These were really trading way above where they should be so I knew the high price would drop on me and it did.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I made 39.5m profit today. I was very disappointed and wanted to hit 40m so badly. A little over 27m of my profit came from overnights and I didn't start flipping until after 5 pm my time. I was without internet when I woke up and didn't have it for a few hours. When I got it back I decided to work on selling any stagnant flips. I lost about 3m on vesta's longswords, 2m from royal dragon leather, and broke even with black dragon leather which sucks because they had that massive price rise. Even though I lost about 5m it allows me to utilize more G.E. slots and I still came out on top today.
Date: July 21, 2013
66 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1375k - 10.11%
I was trying to buy these overnight but did not have much luck. I checked the high price again in the morning and it had risen about 250 gp so I put my sell offer in and took the profit.- Spoiler:
67 - Zamorakian Spear - 900k - 1.71%
I haven't flipped these in a few days because they haven't had good margins and they have been falling in price. They are still falling but I had the cash and space to flip them so I did.- Spoiler:
68 - Glaiven Boots - 1000k - 1.53%
I had to raise my buy price to get the full limit nut the high price hadn't changed and I was able to quickly sell my stock.- Spoiler:
69 - Ragefire Boots - 900k - 1.30%
This flip took a while to sell and I had to lower my sell price multiple times to get it to start selling.- Spoiler:
70 - Ragefire Boots - 915k - 2.00%
Follow up of the last flip with better margins. However, both buying and selling were very difficult and this flip took hours to complete.- Spoiler:
71 - Red Dragon Leather - 2204k - 4.61%
It dawned on me that I had flipped all other dragon leather except this one so I decided to try it. It took a few hours to buy but I couldn't sell at all. I had my offer in at 5030 then I rechecked the prices and the low price was only 30 gp below my sell offer so to speed up the process I put my sell offer in at 5000 and they sold rather quickly.- Spoiler:
72 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2450k - 2.30%
I was surprised I made a good profit on this. It didn't seem like the margins were that good but maybe I had other things on my mind idk. This flip did take a while though. I couldn't sell that last pesky one but still a good flip.- Spoiler:
73 - Royal Dragon Leather - 2280k - 3.38%
I bought this before going to bed last night and thought they would sell overnight. About half did and I rechecked the prices. They had small margins so I just instant sold some and then had to lower my sell price once more.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I had some promising overnight flips but none of them completed. I doubled up on some of the items and I should be able to explain what I mean by that tomorrow when they hopefully complete. I had a 7-8m flip that I was buying as I was selling but it got too complicated and I lost some screenshots along the way. I also messed up big time today while flipping Sgs's. They were dropping and I accidentally put my sell offer 1m higher than it was supposed to be. I left it like that for an hour before realizing my mistake. By that time it had crashed big time and I ended up losing 20m. I just wasn't feeling it today and decided to take a break and just put in some inactive flips and set up some overnight flips. Later in the day I decided to do some flipping and some overnight flips finished up but thats about it. I won't be able to get on until later tomorrow so I hope I come home to some completed overnight flips/

Re: Zakat's Merchanting Diary
- week 3:
- Week 3
Starting Total Merchantable Bank: 974m
Ending Total Merchantable Bank: 1129m
Weekly summary: I made over 180m this week. It was quite the week too. RS3 came out at the beginning of the week and had a great effect on merchanting. Margins were huge as most items crashed. I put a lot of effort into those first two days after RS3 and made almost 90m. After that the market calmed down a bit and I started doing more inactive and overnight flips. Overall I think this week made me a better merchant. It took a good amount of skill to navigate the market during the crash and I managed some good lowballs. Towards the end of the week I started some investments on some items that were rebounding from the crash. Those are still ongoing but right now they are up about 40m.
Date: July 22, 2013
1 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 800k - 1.66%
I wanted to try and do a drygore last night but selling was extremely slow so I sold it overnight.- Spoiler:
2 - Steadfast Boots - 5175k - 3.13%
Very good margins on these. Not only did they have good margins but it was an extremely fast flip. The entire flip completed in under 15 minutes.- Spoiler:
3 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2070k - 1.94%
Pretty much every item has great margins today. I've had trouble with these recently but these went very smoothly. I bought in about 15 minutes and sold in another 15 minutes.- Spoiler:
4 - Royal Dragon Leather - 3124k - 4.19%
I put the buy offer for these in late in the day yesterday. I had bought 1619 of these before being overcut and I raised my buy offer. I put in those 1619 to sell and they sold overnight. I had no luck buying anymore overnight or this morning and I kind of forgot about this flip. When I got back home today I had surprisingly bought a full limit. I checked the high price and managed to sell my entire stock almost instantly with some luck.- Spoiler:
5 - Green Dragon Leather - 8836k - 6.06%
This was the flip I mentioned yesterday. I started out just trying to buy 10k and ended up with 40k. I had been flipping these for a while so I was very comfortable with the prices and I knew the ranges in which these would fluctuate. I initially bought these 2 days ago I think and sold some overnight. When I woke up I checked the prices again and they had very small margins and they were trading much lower than the price at which I was trying to sell. I was confident that these were not crashing and that this was just a fluctuation so I decided to buy a limit instantly since they were trading way below the price I was selling at and I knew they would rise again. I bought out that seller then raised my buy price again to buy out another seller. I bought another full limit doing this (with a few gp's difference between buy offers). There was one seller or multiple sellers with more than one limit at a certain price. I bought a full limit instantly on my other account at that price then later bought another limit on my first account. After this I just decided to give up on buying anymore and put my sell price for my remaining stock 4 gp below mid. I forgot to mention that I had been putting sell offers in as I bought more. When I woke up today 15k had sold and I lowered my sell price by 40 gp in order to sell the rest. Quite complicated but eventually, after 2 days, they all sold.- Spoiler:
6 - Steadfast Boots - 8370k - 7.99%
This was a follow up of my last stead flip. I went to pc this item but could not sell at 17.4m. I got excited and put a buy offer in at 17.4m. I was surprised when I bought 2 almost instantly. I ended up getting 6 and making mad profit and the best part is I didn't lose any money pcing.- Spoiler:
7 - Glaiven Boots - 1680k - 4.30%
Pretty good profit on these too. The high prise rose about 100k as I was buying so I was fortunate to get a better flip than I was expecting.- Spoiler:
8 - Ragefire Boots - 1800k - 8.51%
Very good margins on these. Unfortunately, I was only able to buy 3. I started flipping these on my other account too but the low price had risen almost 300k. I stopped flipping these as I didn't think it was worth raising my buy price 300k. In hindsight that was probably a mistake as I still could have gotten 300k profit each.- Spoiler:
9 - Ragefire Boots - 1780k - 2.70%
Follow up of the last flip. Good margins to begin with but I had trouble selling. I kept lowering my sell price to try to get them to sell. I realized they had great margins initially and that I could still get a good flip if I slashed the sell price. I lowered it by a lot and they soon sold.- Spoiler:
10 - Zamorakian Spear - 1135k - 3.39%
Very good margins on these, a crashing item. I test the margins on these often but they usually don't have good enough margins to bother. Luckily this time they had pretty good margins. Quick and easy flip.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Today RS3 was released and I wasn't really expecting anything different in terms of merchanting since the update didn't really have any effect on actual gameplay. Throughout the day everything seemed to drop in price but margins were incredible. I almost made 40m today. It has been a recent goal of mine to hit 40m in a day, but, unfortunately, my internet went out at 11 pm and I wasn't able to get on again until 12 hours later. I wasn't able to finish my flips but, Luckily, I didn't lose any money because of it.
Date: July 23, 2013
11 - Saradomin Godsword - 5550k - 1.89%
Huge margins on these but I had to be careful because they were crashing hard. I managed to buy them pretty quickly but as I was selling I had to quickly drop my sell price to keep up with the crash. In the end I ended up selling the last of my stock 600k below the original high price. I put in that offer to sell the last 5 at 11 pm my time. Right when I put that offer in my internet went out so I couldn't follow that flip and make sure it sold by 12 am. I'm pretty sure it sold buy 12 but I can't be certain so I won't count it for yesterday. If I did count it for yesterday I would have had my first 40m profit day but oh well I'll get em next time.- Spoiler:
12 - Glaiven Boots - 1360k - 2.59%
Like most other items, this item is also crashing. Also like other items I had to lower my sell price in order to sell these. I had to lower it a few times before I sold any. Eventually I just let them sit overnight and they sold.- Spoiler:
13 - Royal Dragon Leather - 8493k - 23.52%
I had put my buy offer in for these in when the margins were about 6000-6600 and kind of forgot about this flip with all my other flips and rs3 occupying my mind. later in a day I got a good chunk of them and checked the high price again. It was a little less than 7500. I was very surprised and put my sell offer in immediately and sold overnight. Actually this flip and the last 2 could have theoretically completed between 11 and 12 which would give me 50m profit for yesterday but that is unlikely.- Spoiler:
14 - Steadfast Boots - 2700k - 1.63%
Pretty simple flip compared to all the other recent flips. I put my sell offer in right before my internet went out so it could have sold before 12 but I'll say it was completed today.- Spoiler:
15 - Zamorakian Spear - 5610k - 15.29%
This was a follow up of my last zammy spear flip. When trying to pc I could not sell for 4m so I immediately put a buy offer in. At the time these had a 950k margin. Unfortunately, my internet went out and I had to leave the buy offer in overnight. By morning the high price had dropped a few hundred k but I still managed a great flip.- Spoiler:
16 - Steadfast Boots - 8200k - 6.84%
I learned from the ragefire flip yesterday where I should have finished my limit. After flipping 5 I tried to finish out my limit before moving on to my other account. I managed to buy 2 more and made 2.2m more profit. These have had crazy margins since RS3 came out and much of my profit today will come from steads. This was another flip like the previous zammy spear flip where I couldn't sell much lower than the price I bought at while pc'ing. This is very rare though with such an in demand item. This scenario happed a lot back before EoC when I flipped pvp gear.- Spoiler:
17 - Glaiven Boots - 1420k - 5.48%
This was a tough buy and only managed 4 after hours (I was away while the buy offer was in). Luckily the high price rose a bit and I managed a nice flip.- Spoiler:
18 - Steadfast Boots - 10000k - 5.75%
This was a follow up of the last steadfast flip. I put the buy offer in for these right after I finished buying on my other account. I let the buy offer sit and none bought by the time I got back from being away (a few hours). About a minute after I logged back into rs the first one bought. After that it took less than an hour for the flip to complete. Then I flipped this item again on my other account for 6m and didn't screen it.- Spoiler:
19 - Saradomin Godsword - 1000k - 0.34%
These had great margins initially but they are crashing hard so I only managed a 1m flip.- Spoiler:
20 - Zamorakian Spear - 1200k - 3.36%
Not a bad flip. Earlier in the day I had some success with this item. Not as much profit as other items today but still a great flip on any other day.- Spoiler:
21 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1990k - 4.80%
I bought this flip overnight and I had 10k by morning. I was worried the price may have fallen overnight but it actually rose a little. I sold a little more than half at the high price but had to lower my sell price in order to sell them all.- Spoiler:
22 - Saradomin Godsword - 1450k - 0.67%
Follow up of the last sgs flip. This one went a little bit better than the last one but this item is still crashing pretty hard so I had to drop my sell price often and drastically.- Spoiler:
23 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1260k - 1.18%
I've pc'ed these a few times today but they never had big enough margins to bother flipping. I managed to finally get a good flip of these. I had to raise my buy price once to get the rest on my limit but other than that it was a smooth flip.- Spoiler:
24 - Zamorakian Spear - 1035k - 2.57%
Follow up flip of my last zammy spear flip. Like most follow up flips, the margins were smaller. still a decent flip nonetheless.- Spoiler:
25 - Glaiven Boots - 950k - 1.79%
I had to lower my sell price by a lot in order to sell these. Normally this would be a decent flip but with the way prices have been lately this could have been better.- Spoiler:
The day's review - My goal was to hit 40m but I greatly surpassed that today. I made over 50m thanks to the continued incredible margins since RS3. Steads have been especially good for me. I expect things to settle down down that its been a few days since RS3 but I made 87m the last 2 days and I'm very pleased with that.
Date: July 24, 2013
26 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1890k - 4.60%
Simple dragon leather flip. These are rather slow usually so I flip these inactively of overnight. I bought these overnight and sold pretty quickly when I woke up. I took a chance that the high price wouldn't drop below my buy price and it payed off.- Spoiler:
27 - Green Dragon Leather - 1720k - 4.87%
Pretty much the same as my last flip. For this item, though, the high price actually rose some overnight. I've been very lucky with dragon leather and haven't got burned yet by them, but it could happen so I should probably be more careful with them.- Spoiler:
28 - Royal Dragon Leather - 1857k - 12.20%
These had beyond incredible margins when I flipped them yesterday and still had incredible margins today. I left the buy offer in for a few hours but didn't get very many. Luckily the high price stayed steady throughout the flip and I was able to get a great profit percentage.- Spoiler:
29 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1480k - 3.15%
Had trouble buying these even after I raised my buy price. I rechecked the high price and it had risen about 100k so I still managed a really nice flip even though I was only able to buy 4.- Spoiler:
30 - Black Dragon Leather - 1620k - 2.94%
I bought these overnight and the high price had dropped a bit overnight. Luckily it was still a pretty solid flip.- Spoiler:
31 - Ahrim's Wand - 1620k - 2.76%
I bought these before going to bed and it took a while to buy. I put the sell offer in at the original high price before going to bed and they sold overnight.- Spoiler:
32 - Off-hand Drygore Longsword - 1600k - 2.05%
I prefer to inactive flip these rather than active flip them. When i do flip these I look at the graph on Merchz and usually try to buy at the lowest price in the last 4 or so hours and sell at the highest price. I usually do this when they are pretty stable and the differences in the high and low price are usually within 2m.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Decided to take an easy day after the hectic last few days. Most of my flips today came from inactive or overnight flips. I didn't bother much with active flips but, from what I did notice with most of my regular items, margins were smaller and items still seemed to be dropping making flips risky. I need to be on the lookout for investment opportunities from when those dropping items bottom out.
Date: July 25, 2013
33 - Royal Dragon Leather - 2498k - 4.13%
This flip originally had the same high price as my previous royal d leather flip but with a higher low price. After buying over a few hours I pulled the offer and rechecked the high price. It had fallen about 200 gp so I sold instantly and the high and low price were within 5 gp. Because of this I put my sell offer in to sell instantly. This took care of about half my stock and the rest sold pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
34 - Ahrim's Wand - 2960k - 6.36%
I was originally going to buy overnight but I ended up staying up later than I thought I would. After I had bought my stock I checked the high price again and it had dropped some. I wasn't sure if it was just a severe undercut or if the item was really dropping in price. It was trading below mid so I took the safe route and put in the sell price as an undercut of the new high price. They all sold overnight, but when I checked the high price when I woke up it had risen back up to the original high price.- Spoiler:
35 - Steadfast Boots - 3300k - 1.90%
These had been dropping in price for a while so I decided to put a lowball buy offer overnight. When I woke up they had all bought and I tried to buy another one instantly to check the high price. It wouldn't buy at 15% higher than mid so that told me that I bought the 10 in the last 4 hours. I checked the high price on my other account and the high price dropped a bit more than I thought it would. I still managed to get a very nice flip though.- Spoiler:
36 - Zamorakian Spear - 1800k - 4.47%
Pretty good flip for these. This item has been pretty good lately even though it has dropped in price severely. Despite the drop it still has pretty good margins and is much safer than some other flips like glaivens and ragefires.- Spoiler:
37 - Red Dragon Leather - 2395k - 5.42%
I bought these throughout the day yesterday. I put the sell offer in before I was finished buying. I managed to sell a few and bought more. I took out my buy and sell offer and put all my stock in a single sell offer at the same price as my first sell offer. None sold overnight and I had to adjust my sell offer when I woke up.- Spoiler:
38 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1855k - 3.93%
I had trouble buying these and gave up trying to buy more after getting 4. I knew this item was much more stable than some of my other items so I set my own sell price 100k above the original high price and they sold overnight.- Spoiler:
39 - Glaiven Boots - 2350k - 4.42%
Since this is a crashing item, I started selling after I bought 5. Those 5 sold pretty quickly and another 4 bought soo after the 5 sold and I lowered my sell price for those 4 a bit just to be safe.- Spoiler:
40 - Ahrim's Wand - 5175k - 9.62%
After I bought my limit I checked the high price on my other account and it had lowered by 400k. It was similar to my last wand flip but this time I decided to put my sell offer at the original high price. It took a while to sell but eventually it did.- Spoiler:
41 - Steadfast Boots - 1305k - 0.85%
Still crashing. I didn't think this item would crash so fast so I made a lot less profit than I could have. I had to raise my buy price to get the full limit so I thought it was stabling out. Unfortunately it wasn't and I made less profit than I should have.- Spoiler:
The day's review - For the last 2 days I've been doing more inactive flipping than active flipping. Made over 20m profit today which is pretty good for the time put in. I had some nice overnight flips taking advantage of the market and some nice flips in general.
Date: July 26, 2013
42 - Drygore Rapier - 1600k - 1.77%
I saw some potential in overnight flipping Drygore items so I put a few offers in. This one payed off and an few others did too. I saw that they had taken a dip with the Merchz graphs and I felt they would at least rise back to their previous prices overnight.- Spoiler:
43 - Green Dragon Leather - 1710k - 5.12%
Simple flip I did last night before going to sleep. I meant to sell overnight as it was trading well below mid and I sensed a rise. But it bought quickly so I just decided to sell and take the profit.- Spoiler:
44 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1600k - 3.06%
I bought before going to bed and sold overnight. I don't flip this item often and only like to flip it when it has 400k+ margins because I thought it had a limit of 5. Not sure about that I need to check it out.- Spoiler:
45 - Drygore Longsword - 2400k - 2.34%
I actually made a mistake when buying this. I misread the line as 103b when it was actually 102b so it bought rather quickly. I potentially missed out on 1m profit but still another successful overnight drygore flip. I had a third overnight drygore but did not screeny the buy offer.- Spoiler:
46 - Steadfast Boots - 2600k - 4.06%
I put a lowball buy offer for these in again overnight as they are still crashing. I managed to get 4 and sold them for 650k profit each.- Spoiler:
47 - Saradomin Godsword - 1730k - 1.40%
Like the steads, I put a lowball offer for these before going to bed. I was able to buy 4 overnight. I checked the high price when I woke up and it had 450k margins. I had to drop my sell price a few times in order to sell them all. At the time, I thought this was because the item was still crashing but after I sold the 4 I went to sell the one that I bought to check the high price and it sold instantly at the price I bought at, so in reality I could have made much more.- Spoiler:
48 - Zamorakian Spear - 945k - 2.45%
Just a basic active flip. I thoguht it might rise a bit while I was buying but it didn't so I just sold at the original high price.- Spoiler:
49 - Steadfast Boots - 1260k - 1.28%
I wanted to flip these again to keep up with the current prices. Buying went stagnant after 6 and selling went fine until the last one which took about an hour to sell.- Spoiler:
50 - Glaiven Boots - 2160k - 4.20%
Like the previous flip, I like to keep up with the prices of these, especially when I believe they are nearing the end of a crash. Pretty good flip though with no major problems which is pretty rare for this item lately.- Spoiler:
51 - Ragefire Boots - 1530k - 2.80%
These are still crashing but luckily the high price didn't change while I was buying and I managed a quick flip.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Today was similar to yesterday. Not may active flips and most of the profit came from overnights and lowball offers. I believe some of the items I actively flip have started to bottom out from their decline since RS3. I've already made one investment that has profited 20m so far assuming it keeps rising. This also means I will probably have less money to flip with in the coming days.
Date: July 26, 2013
52 - Ragefire Boots - 1305k - 2.37%
Buying took a very long time. Rather than raise my buy offer I decided to just wait it out. The high price actually rose a bit as I was buying which is what I was expecting so I managed to get a better flip than expected.- Spoiler:
53 - Zamorakian Spear - 2340k - 5.96%
The high price rose about 200k as I was buying which I was expecting, like the last flip. This is because the market is starting to stabalize again after RS3 and I atleast expected a slight rise for all my regular flipping items.- Spoiler:
54 - Ahrim's Wand - 7140k - 9.08%
These initially had 300k margins. I put a buy offer for these in on 2 different accounts because I did not have the wealth to flip it on one account. After A while only 3 bought so I rechecked my high price. It has risen 300k so I raised my buy offer a bit. I bought my limit and then some before going to bed and sold overnight. When I rechecked the high price after buying the 12 it had actually dropped a lot. I decided I was confident it would rise again so I put it in at the highest high price I found.- Spoiler:
55 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1600k - 1.74%
Like the other items today, the high price rose as I was buying. Although, this time it was only about 40k. Stills makes for a nice flip.- Spoiler:
56 - Glaiven Boots - 1600k - 3.84%
This flip took a very long time to sell. I checked the high price a few times throughout the flip. The high price rose about 100k then went back down to the original high price. Nonetheless I put the sell offer in at the highest high price. It took a while but eventually it sold.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Because of some investments I'm working on I have limited cash at the moment. I had one nice Ahrim's wand flip but for the most part most of my flips were very slow today. I also had to jump ship on some drygore items I've been holding since RS3. I figured I could make more money with the cash than just letting it sit in the G.E. for another week. I lost about 10m on those but still was up for the day.
Date: July 28, 2013
57 - Ahrim's Wand - 5460k - 9.16%
Based on my previous wand flip I knew this would have great margins. I was quickly overcut and raised my buy price accordingly. However, I couldn't buy even at much higher than my original buy offer. I decided to raise it substantially to make sure I had the best offer on the GE. The remaining ones bought over time. Selling was slow and towards the end I decided to lower my sell price to try and get it to complete before midnight. Unfortunately, it didn't but now I can start a new day with a solid flip.- Spoiler:
58 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1573k - 4.15%
These had pretty small margins when I pc'ed them. They were also trading around the buy price I bought them at last time. I didn't screeny that flip. I decided to just buy instantly because the margins were very marginal. It took 3 transactions buying instantly to fulfill the limit. I held on to them for a while until they rose again. I then sold them overnight.- Spoiler:
59 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 2870k - 2.38%
These didn't have as good margins as I've gotten on them previously. I just wanted to test the limit. It has a limit of 5 so I bought 2 full limits here. I actually bought the last 5 instantly because the price dropped drastically. I put the sell offer in at the original high price and it took a while to sell.- Spoiler:
60 - Royal Dragon Leather - 1890k - 2.82%
Just a simple inactive flip here. I was hoping they would rise a little as I was buying but they didn't. This flip is much slower than the other dragon leather flips and I had to sell it overnight.- Spoiler:
61 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 1700k - 3.77%
Flipped this my favorite way to flip Drygores. I look at the live graphs on Merchz and basically take the lowest price they were at over the last 4 or so hours and sell at the highest price in the last 4 or so hours. I only do this when I am very confident that they will either rise or stay stable.- Spoiler:
62 - Saradomin Godsword - 2900k - 1.79%
I had been following the prices of these closely for the last few days so I knew what margins to ecpect. I was only able to buy 5 before being overcut and decided not to buy anymore so I would have more money to flip with. I put the sell offer way above the original high price because I knew they were trading below where they were previously in the day. They sold rather quickly. I checked the prices later and they had risen about 1m so I missed out on a lot of profit.- Spoiler:
63 - Ragefire Boots - 2600k - 8.60%
When I first checked the margins, they were rather small. I checked again about 20 minutes later and the high price was 500k higher. I put a buy offer in at the original high price and it started buying quickly. The flip went smoothly after that.- Spoiler:
64 - Drygore Rapier - 2400k - 2.52%
Another flip like my previous drygore flip. I bought it before going to bed and sold it overnight.- Spoiler:
65 - Zamorakian Spear - 2835k - 6.95%
This flip took a while. The high price dropped while I was buying. I put the sell offer in at the original high price and it took a while to start selling.- Spoiler:
66 - Ahrim's Wand - 3600k - 6.06%
These had decent margins when I pc'ed these. I was hoping they would rise as I was buying but they didn't. I still went ahead and put the sell offer in above the high price based off of my last Ahrim's wand flip. They started selling quickly which surprised me.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Like the previous few days, a lot of inactives and overnights and not as many actives. I made over 27m today which made me very surprised. I didn't think I made that much. I had some solid flips today and a good stream of 2m+ flips which starts to add up.

Re: Zakat's Merchanting Diary
- Week 4:
- Week 4
Starting Total Merchantable Bank: 1129m
Ending Total Merchantable Bank: 1328m
Weekly summary: Whoops. I wrote this earlier but it didn't save for some reason. So now I'm writing it a little late. It was a very good week with nearly 250m profit logged. Even if I disregard the 72m investment it was still a very good week. A good chunk of my profit came from 3 seismic singularities that profited 45m. I spent less actual time at the G.E. flipping but still made just as much if not more. This style of flipping will definitely suit me better once school starts up again.
Date: July 29, 2013
1 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1890k - 1.89%
I bought before going to sleep and held onto them overnight because I was hoping it would rise some overnight. It rose a little but not much and I sold quickly after waking up.- Spoiler:
2 - Off-hand Drygore Mace - 2700k - 5.99%
On one of my accounts I had 46m free to flip with. I thought it would be a perfect time to flip this item. I checked on Merchz and chose a good choice to put a buy offer in. That bought quickly and I decided on a pretty ambitious sell price because I was going to sell it overnight. By the time I woke up it had sold.- Spoiler:
3 - Steadfast Boots - 2970k - 1.93%
I knew these were rising in price as I have been following these closely the last few days so I thought it would be a safe flip. They had bad margins when I pc'ed them but like I said I knew they would rise. I managed to buy a full limit and set my own sell offer. It took a little while to sell but once they started selling it went quickly.- Spoiler:
4 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2880k - 2.88%
These had similar margins as the last time I flipped them. The high price was about 100k higher and the low price was pretty much the same. These had been crashing and haven't had very good margins lately but now I think they have stabilized and the margins are better. I active flipped these so pretty good margins for an active flip.- Spoiler:
5 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 2680k - 5.58%
After I bought my limit I checked the high price on my other account and it was below what I bought them for. I thought that was strange so I waited about 10 minutes and tried again. This time it was actually higher than the initial high price. On my other account I ended up making 600k by checking the high price and sold these pretty quickly for a nice profit.- Spoiler:
6 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1650k - 4.56%
Follow up of my last flip on my other account. I was only able to buy 3 because I checked the high price twice for my other flip. Smaller margins than the last flip but I had to overcut and undercut to make sure I had the best offer in the G.E.- Spoiler:
7 - Steadfast Boots - 2280k - 6.89%
I put the offer in for 9 yesterday but only managed to buy 2 because they started drastically rising. I cancelled th buy offer but let it sit in the G.E. When they hit 17.7m I thought it would be a good time to sell them because I didn't think they would rise much higher than that that quickly. Sure enough they dropped back to about 17.5m and have stayed there for a few hours now.- Spoiler:
8 - Zamorakian Spear - 2430k - 5.71%
I bought before going to sleep last night and held onto them overnight because I was hoping for a rise, like my abs flip. The high price had actually dropped below the price I bought them at but I didn't panic and put a sell offer in at 5m (which they hadn't hit in a while). I wasn't expecting them to sell for a while but they started selling after a few hours.- Spoiler:
9 - Steadfast Boots - 2520k - 1.60%
I was anticipating another rise so I bought not even taking the margins into consideration. As I was buying the high price rose about 150k. I've done a pretty good job lately of predicting rises and have gotten some nice flips as a result of it.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I made 22m flat today. I'm pretty consistent with the profit. My investments are still going well and I have been doing a pretty good job flipping with less cash. I'm still continuing my trend of more inactive and overnight flips. I was worried about how I would be able to adapt my merchanting once school started again but now I'm not as worried because my merchanting now can easily fit around a school schedule.

10 - Saradomin Godsword - 3510k - 1.72%
I bought these late at night when they didn't have great margins. I was going to sell them overnight but they jumped a bit as I was buying and I decided to take the safe path and just go ahead and sell them for 3m+ profit.- Spoiler:
11 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1860k - 2.80%
The high price dropped big time as I was buying. It was late at night so I just decided to put my sell offer in at the original high price and sell it overnight. They had all sold when I woke up. This was actually pretty risky as this is a crashing item.- Spoiler:
12 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1400k - 1.57%
These had decent margins but I wanted to do some active flipping today. I got overcut after buying 8 and used the last of my limit to check the high price again. The high price had risen some and I managed to sell them quickly.- Spoiler:
13 - Saradomin Godsword - 7580k - 3.04%
This was a pretty tough flip. I had to flip these on two separate accounts because I didn't have the wealth to flip them. At most I could buy 6 at a time using both accounts. The prices were changing very rapidly and it would very difficult to buy any. luckily I managed to buy 7 and made some very nice profit from them.- Spoiler:
14 - Saradomin Godsword - 437k - 1.20%
I didn't include this one with the last flip because this was strange and pretty lucky. I had instant bought this item at 36.4m to check the high price. About a minute later I went to sell ot 10k below what I bought at. It instantly sold over 400k higher than the price I bought at. I thought that was pretty cool and explains how crazy this item is right now and how hard it is to flip it.- Spoiler:
15 - Ragefire Boots - 3295k - 5.92%
I had bought these a few days ago. They were crashing and the margins I got from pc'ing were not worth flipping. I checked again about 20 minutes later and they had completely different margins. The low price had jumped about 100k and the high price had jumped about 500k. I managed to buy them quickly but they were difficult to sell. I sold a few then dropped my sell price and sold overnight. A few more sold but I left the sell offer in for 2 days. Finally I decided to just drop my sell offer again and take the profit.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Not much flipping today. I had less wealth and had flips that either wouldn't buy or sell so not much room for maneuvering today. I had some pretty good flips today and my investments are still going well. They are up about 80m at this point.
Date: July 31, 2013
16 - Steadfast Boots - 5580k - 3.72%
Bit of a failed investment here. I bought at the low when most of the items that crashed after RS3 came out started to turn it around. Earlier today it peaked at 17.8m then dropped 300k below mid. I started to panic at this point and decided to sell. A few hours later, after selling they had risen back to 17.5m. In hindsight, I believe I should have held on to them a bit longer as I don't believe they will crash right back down. Who knows if I made the right decision. Time will tell.- Spoiler:
17 - Saradomin Godsword - 4090k - 2.77%
I flipped this before going to bed last night. This was a continuation of my last sgs flip. Margins were great once again as they were still rising quickly.- Spoiler:
18 - Glaiven Boots - 2070k - 4.01%
A standard active flip late at night. I bought and sold within the margins. It might not have actually been an active flip because I sold overnight but I sold within the margins nonetheless.- Spoiler:
19 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1880k - 2.11%
I meant to active flip these as it was one of the only times today I had the time to active flip and they had average margins. Just as my luck has been lately, the high price rose about 100k as I was buying and I managed a better flip than I expected.- Spoiler:
20 - Red Dragon Leather - 990k - 3.58%
I left my buy offer in for a very long time (12hrs+). After I decided it wasn't worth it to leave my buy offer in any longer I decided to check the high price again and sell. The high price was very similar to the original high price so I was lucky that it didn't drop on me.- Spoiler:
21 - Saradomin Godsword - 10050k - 3.86%
Like the last few sgs flips, I bought and sold on 2 different accounts. I managed to buy 4 on one account and put the sell offer in at 39m. 2 sold by the time I woke up. I put a reasonable buy offer in on my other account for 3 (the most I could buy with my wealth) and let those buy overnight. When I woke up I decided to adjust my sell price to make sure I didn't get stuck with a crashing item. I wasn't feeling too confident about this item today because they rose to 39m so quickly and then stabilized around 38.5m and I wasn't sure if it would stay at 38.5m or crash back down. I felt it was just safer to take 10m+ profit.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was very busy today and didn't really have any time to flip today. When I did have time to flip I used all my cash to flip Saradomin Godswords for the most part. Despite the low number of flips I still made great profit.
Date: August 1, 2013
22 - Ragefire Boots - 1215k - 2.21%
Nothing special with this flip. It was late last night and I decided I would try to buy a limit of an item and sell it overnight. I pc'ed a few items but this was the only one with decent margins. I managed to buy pretty quickly and I ended up staying up later than I thought I would and the whole flip completed before I went to bed.- Spoiler:
23 - Steadfast Boots - 4410k - 2.87%
I finished my investment of these yesterday and continued to track the prices they're one of my favorite items to flip. I noticed they were mostly trading between 17.2-17.5m after I finished my investment. I was a little worried they might drop again as they had just had a quick rise. Regardless, I decided to set a reasonable buy offer overnight about 100k below the minimum I noticed them trading at that day. I thought I might snag a few or that I would buy a full limit and be stuck with a crashing item. When I checked the G.E. when I woke I had bought a full limit. I was worried but checked the high price again. The high price was around 17.6m which was much higher than I was expecting it to be. I considered myself lucky and took the nice profit.- Spoiler:
24 - Saradomin Godsword - 72270k - 17.64%
First of all, this was my best investment ever. Second of all, I was still pretty dissapointed. I don't invest much but this item was in for a guaranteed rise. Since I flip this item daily, I was well aware of its quick crash from 42m+ down to 31.5m. I had tried to flip it on the way down with some success. By the time it had hit 31.5m it started to stabilize and I bought 8 and then another 5 overnight. I bought at pretty much the lowest price it hit which was pretty good on my part. This was on July 26. It then started to rise and rose very steadily until it got around 38m. I was trying to flip on the way up and yesterday flipped a bunch of these between 37.5-39m. I think the peak this item hit was 39m as I left a sell offer overnight 2 days ago where I managed to sell 2 at 39m. Despite the great profit sellin all my stock at 39m would have been, I really wanted to break 100m. I initially put my sell offer in at 40m but lowered it to 39.5m. Last night, they were trading mostly between 38-38.5 and seemed pretty stable and I contemplated selling there. However, right before I went to bed, they had jumped to 38.8m and I saw some hope for another rise so I left my sell offer in at 39.5m. 7 hours later when I woke up, they had dropped down to 37.5m. I waited a bit and checked the high price a few times but every sell offer was being undercut. I decided I needed to get out quickly and sold my stock. The thing I find that benefits me the most about flipping the same items regularly is that I can catch these great investment opportunities.- graph:
- Spoiler:
25 - Virtus Wand - 3280k - 0.70%
I had flipped these before but I have never utilized the 5 item limit of these. I've been flipping the Ahrim's Book of Magic lately so I employed the same philosophy I use with those. I pc them and if I like the margins I flip it. Very similar to all other items but with a limit of 5 and these being so expensive it can be very risky to pc these. These had 800k margins and it was only a .7% flip so if I'm not careful I could lose a lot of money from price checks. This isn't really a problem if I can buy the 4 to finish the limit but if the prices change on me I could be out of a lot of gp.- Spoiler:
26 - Saradomin Godsword - 2240k - 1.55%
I wanted to flip these after I finished my investment to keep up with the prices. They had pretty good margins for an item the had a quick, hard crash. I only managed to buy 4 without being overcut which was surprising with a crashing item. I raised my buy price but no luck. I checked the high price again and it had risen a few hundred k (also surpising). I decided to just sell the 4 and be done with it.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was busy with various things all day and didn't have any time for proper flipping. When I did have time I babysat my investment and checked on prices. I had a little bit of time much later in the day to flip but used pretty much all my wealth on 1 account on 1 item (virtus wand).
Date: August 2, 2013
27 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1720k - 3.72%
I pc'ed these late last night and they had pretty good margins. I pc them often but they usually don't have very good margins so I try to save these for the times of the day when there aren't many players online. They bought quickly and I let them sell overnight. Pretty standard.- Spoiler:
28 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2130k - 3.16%
These have been up and down for a few days now. Before, they regularly traded above 12m. They've fallen to around 11m and had some quick, short lived rises back to 12m. The low price for this flip was around 11.2m so I thought it would be a pretty safe flip with a lot of upside. I was overcut after buying 6 and rechecked the high price which had risen a few hundred k.- Spoiler:
29 - Drygore Longsword - 1600k - 1.51%
I flipped this one how I flip most of my drygores. I've explained how I flip these before. They are usually rather slow but the profit is decent and they are usually pretty safe. This flip bought pretty quickly but hadn't sold in the few hours before I went to bed. By the time I had woken up it had sold.- Spoiler:
30 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 8250k - 14.60%
This was a follow up of my last abs flip. This time I was overcut after buying 5. I rechecked the high price and was shocked to find that it had risen to nearly 13m. I thought this was just an anomaly and that surely the price would drop back down and I would be unable to sell any at that crazy high price. To my surprise all 5 sold at nearly 13m and rather quickly too. I consider myself very lucky.- Spoiler:
31 - Zamorakian Spear - 1260k - 2.95%
Pretty standard flip here. After buying my stock I put the sell offer in at the high price without rechecking the high price. I normally do recheck the high price, either on the same account if I'm not on limit or on my other account. It took a while for these to start selling.- Spoiler:
32 - Glaiven Boots - 2385k - 4.88%
These had been trading between 5.5-6m so I decided to take a chance on these when the low price was 5435k. The high price didn't change during the buy process and the entire flip completed pretty quickly.- Spoiler:
33 - Off-hand Ascension Crossbow - 1100k - 0.40%
I don't flip this often but since I finished my sgs investment the other day I had some leftover cash to justify this flip. Not the best flip but I'm not familiar with this item so I wasn't expecting much. I saw someone in the fc say they instant sold for 275m. I put a buy offer in a little higher than that and checked the high price on my other account. It bought pretty quickly but it took a while to sell.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was pretty busy once again today. I didn't have much time for flipping and margins weren't really that great today. I still made decent profit but a lot of that profit came from 1 flip (armadyl Battlestaff).
Date: August 3, 2013
34 - Drygore Rapier - 1595k - 1.66%
Typical inactive drygore flip. I did this late last night before going to bed and decided to drop the sell price 5k more than I usually set it as because the mid price was slightly below 97.8m and I thought it would facilitate the sale. I don't know if it did but it sold before I went to bed.- Spoiler:
35 - Glaiven Boots - 3680k - 7.01%
These had risen quite a bit since the last time I flipped these and I was banking on a further rise as I was buying these. I got lucky and the high price rose a few hundred k as I was buying and I managed a better flip than expected. They did stall out after selling 5 but I dropped the sell price and the other 4 sold smoothly.- Spoiler:
36 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1525k - 2.46%
Standard active flip. I bought and sold within the margins. I got overcut but just decided to go ahead and start selling instead of fighting the overcutter. These had that crazy 1.5m rise the other day and actually managed to stay at that price for the most part.- Spoiler:
37 - Blue Dragon Leather - 1790k - 4.71%
A few days ago i put in the buy offer for these. I got half my limit pretty quickly and then they stopped buying. A few hours later the rest of my offer filled and I rechecked the high price. It had dropped below the price I bought at. I put my sell offer at the original high price nonetheless and it took about a day and a half to sell. I'm not really a fan of flipping these bulk items anymore because when you buy so many it's very easy to get over/undercut.- Spoiler:
38 - Green Dragon Leather - 2680k - 7.65%
Pretty much the same situation as the blue dragon leather except my entire buy offer filled almost instantly. I had the same problem with selling these but if you have patience, most of the time your offer will sell eventually.- Spoiler:
39 - Seismic Singularity - 20000k - 3.23%
I don't think I have ever flipped this item but after my investment finished I had the wealth and decided to give it a shot. Pretty good flip for my first time trying this item I'd say. I looked on Merchz and they had risen as high as 660m according to the graphs. In the pc someone said they instant sold one for 622m so I decided to give it a shot and put a buy offer in a little above that, trying to be cautious as it's an unfamiliar item. It instant bought for 620m. I put the sell offer in at 660m just as a placeholder really and followed the item in the pc. The price kept going down all the way to 613m and I thought I was going to lose big. I had to go do stuff in real life so I just dropped my sell offer to 640m which seemed reasonable based on the historical data. When I got back it had sold.- Spoiler:
40 - Seismic Singularity - 14000k - 2.26%
After I finished my last sing flip I put another buy offer in at the same price. That bought while I was doing irl stuff for about an hour. When I got back the fc was reporting the price as 638s so I put a sell offer in at 638m. There wasn't a pcer online so this probably wasn't an accurate pc. I preriodically lowered my sell price as I wanted to get this done quickly to hopeful by another one. Eventually it ended up selling at 634m after 45 minutes of trying.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I didn't do much flipping today but still made great profit. My second best day since I started recording my flips in this diary. 34m of my profit today came from 1 item, Seismic Singularity, which I have never flipped before. Pretty good day considering the lack of active flips. Lately I haven't been flipping as actively but have actually made better profit.
Date: August 4, 2013
41 - Ragefire Boots - 2805k - 5.08%
These had pretty good margins to begin with, but after I finished buying I checked the high price again and it had risen 300k. Apparently, this rise was short lived though because they stopped selling after a few. I had to drop my sell offer by a lot but still managed a pretty good flip.- Spoiler:
42 - Drygore Longsword - 1600k - 1.51%
Typical Drygore flip except that it was extremely slow. I bought this item about 6 hours before going to sleep and it didn't sell by the time I went to bed. I left it in overnight and it sold by the time I woke up.- Spoiler:
43 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 3500k - 5.56%
Like I explained earlier, I like to flip these late at night because I have noticed that they tend to have better margins when there are fewer players online. I had originally started flipping these on one account but accidently instant sold them after I bought my stock making about 100k profit. I adjusted my buy price and flipped these on my other account. The margins stayed stable and I managed to quickly buy and sell 5 for good profit.- Spoiler:
44 - Seismic Singularity - 11000k - 1.76%
I put my buy offer in for these after finishing my last sing flip before going to bed. I wanted to make sure I got one overnight so I put my buy offer in at 625m rather than 620m, the price at which I bought my last 2. I think my offer would have still filled if I set my offer at 625m but I was taking the sure route. When I woke up they were trading well above the price I bought at but there wasn't a pcer online so I was in the dark about the true prices. The last update was 635b so I put my sell offer in at 635m flat and it instant sold for 636m.- Spoiler:
45 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 4100k - 8.28%
Once again I get really lucky with a flip. While buying the high price rose 500k. I only managed to buy 4 before being overcut and rechecking the high price. This item had a large, quick, and unexpected rise a few days ago and had another one while I was flipping this. I was fortunate to be flipping these when the rises occurred. Pretty strange too because this item went from a pretty hard crash to a 2m rise in 2 days.- Spoiler:
46 - Virtus Wand - 2745k - 0.76%
For most of the day I just left a lowball offer in for seismic singularity on one of my accounts. It didn't fill and I decided to temporarily pull it to try this item. This item was trading about 3m higher than the last time I flipped these and about 2m above mid. I decided to take a chance that it would rise a bit more while my buy offer filled and it payed off. The high price rose and I managed a better flip than expected. I was only able to buy 3 because I used the first one for a pc and I pc'ed again after buying 3 because I got overcut (which made me think the price rose).- Spoiler:
47 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 7100k - 3.19%
After my fail (selling instantly) and then win (making 3.5m) on my last flip of these I realized I could better take advantage of the low limit by flipping this on 2 different accounts at the same time. I got a decent margin when pc'ing and decided to give it a go. I managed to buy 4 on each account and used the last of my limit to recheck the high price. It had risen about 700k. I left my sell offer on both accounts in at the new high price and didn't check back for a while. Unfortunately, only 2 sold and I checked the high price again after my limit reset and it was back to the original high price. I suspect it had that 700k rise because it was on the rise and was trading 500k higher than the last time I flipped it and I guess it just kept rises although it was short lived. At this point I decided to double up and bought 2 more limits at the original low price. I tried selling at the high price but got undercut and lowered my sell offer again to sell the rest.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Not much flipping once again today. I had a lowball offer in most of the day for a seismic singularity on one account and some offers that stalled out on my other account so I wasn't able to do much today. Still though, I managed to make well over 30m so a pretty good day.
- Week 5:
- Week 5
Starting Total Merchantable Bank: 1328m
Ending Total Merchantable Bank: 1414m
Weekly summary: A down week overall. Not as much profit as I have made in the past and not as many flips. I did some low wealth flipping this week so that is a nice change of pace. I was very busy all week and wasn't even home for 2 days this week. So I was busy much of the week and the markets in general were not too kind to me.
Date: August 5, 2013
1 - Virtus Wand - 4081k - 1.14%
This was a follow up of my last wand flip. I put in the buy offer near the buy price for my last flip. I was only able to put an offer in for 3 because of limited wealth on my account. I actually ended up getting the last one instantly. This worried me because the item was trading slightly higher than it should have but I put my sell offer in at the same sell price as my last flip and let it sell overnight. 1/3 had sold by the time I went to bed and the other 2 sold while I was sleeping.- Spoiler:
2 - Seismic Singularity - 10000k - 1.60%
This item has been good to me lately. I bought this overnight but when I woke up I had a hard time finding out the prices so I just put the sell offer in for 10m profit. After about 30 minutes it sold.- Spoiler:
3 - Ragefire Boots - 1120k - 2.09%
This was really the only active flip that worked out for me today. Decent flip but the high price did drop about 100k on me as I was buying. I should have seen that coming because they were trading well over mid but they still ended up having pretty good margins.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Still made decent profit today despite only having 3 flips. I put in a lot of offers on one account while I was trying to buy a sing on my other account. Most of those offers I put in partially filled but I didn't have the time or energy today to fight the overcutters so I just sold out of marginal profit that wasn't worth recording.
Date: August 6, 2013
4 - Virtus Wand - 6670k - 0.79%
When I first attempted to buy these they had decent margins. I put a buy offer in for 4 on one account and 5 on the other. They stalled out quickly and I only managed to get 2 at first. I pulled out my offer on one account because I wanted to check the high price again. It had risen a few hundred k and I sold the one I had gotten on that account for a small profit and was going to give up on the flip because I thought the low price had risen a lot too. However, they started buying again on my other account and I put my original offer back in and managed to get 7 more. I sold those at the newest high price before going to bed.- Spoiler:
5 - Virtus Wand - 4250k - 0.71%
As has been the case lately, the high price rose as I was buying. I flipped these when I woke up after having flipped these before going to bed. It was a slow buy and I gave up on the flip on one account and only managed to buy 1. On the other account I put a sell offer in after buying 2 but left the buy offer in. After I sold the 2 the buy offer filled and I sold those at the same price. I missed out on some profit by not being patient and pulling the buy offer and I should really do a better job with this item.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Not much flipping today. I've been focusing on high wealth flipping lately so that doesn't leave much room for a lot of active flipping. I've still been checking margins but margins haven't been that good recently and I've been having to deal with more overcutting than usual so I haven't been bothering with active flipping. I put in an offer for 2 singularities overnight but wasn't able to buy either one. That left me with no profit from overnights which is where I make a good amount of my profit. I put in some offers late today that seem to be going well but haven't finished up yet. I should have those tomorrow.

6 - Virtus Book - 13140k - 2.83%
I got lucky again with the high price rising as I was buying. This time it rose by over 1m and I managed a great flip. These bought consistently which is a surprise when the price rose so high. I had never flipped these before but I employed the same strategy I use with virtus wands and ahrim's book of magic.- Spoiler:
7 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 3090k - 2.85%
What a mess of a flip. I started this before going to bed last night and put the 8 that I bought between 2 accounts in to sell overnight with virtually no luck. I checked the high price again but it didn't really drop that much. I adjusted my sell price but this flip was extremely slow and I had to drop my sell price literally every time I sold one. It took most of the day to sell these. Forgettable flip.- Spoiler:
8 - Steadfast Boots - 1080k - 0.75%
The sell price dropped on me about 50k as I was buying. I guess it's all coming around now. I was getting lucky with high prices rising as I've been buying but today most items dropped on me. This one dropped some on me but had good enough margins to begin with so still managed a decent active flip.- Spoiler:
9 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 2320k - 2.37%
The high price dropped on me about 200k as I was buying, like with the previous flip. However, unlike the previous flip I put my sell price at the original high price and patiently waited for them to start selling. It took a while but they sold eventually.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I had a really good flip before going to bed but that was pretty much the extent of my flipping today. I put in some offers but most items generally dropped of me and I had to sell for small profit, no profit, or a small loss. The market has been hard on me this week. Hopefully I can pick it during the rest of this week.
Date: August 8, 2013
10 - Virtus Book - 3360k - 0.75%
I flipped these on 2 accounts and my buy offers stalled out quickly. I went ahead and put a sell offer in for the ones I had bought but left one of my buy offers in. About an hour later those started buying again and I managed to get 8 total. Decent flip but very easy to flip usually goes smoothly.- Spoiler:
11 - Virtus Wand - 2760k - 0.56%
These were a crashing item so I had to watch this flip carefully. Because it was a risky flip I only bought on one account rather than 2. They bought surprisingly fast so I was worried the item was dropping even further. I put the sell offer in at the original high price nonetheless and those actually sold surprisingly quickly as well. I guess I was just worried over nothing.- Spoiler:
12 - Royal Dragon Leather - 2919k - 4.17%
I have tried to flip dragon leather recently but haven't had much luck. This one worked out pretty nicely however. These initially had about 150 gp margins and they started buying very quickly for this item. I got overcut and checked the prices again. The high price had shot up and the low price was 2 gp higher than my buy offer. I started selling the ones I had bought and bumped up my buy offer. The rest of my limit bought quickly and the ones I put in to sell sold. I put in the sell offer for the rest of my stock at the same sell price and let them sell overnight. Surprisingly easy flip since they are usually much slower.- Spoiler:
13 - Armadyl Battlestaff - 1145k - 1.04%
This item has been coming down from its high and I managed to get decent margins on these. 5 of them bought quickly and no more bought for a while so I thought I had been overcut. I took the 5 I bought and put them in to sell at the original high price overnight (it was late at this point). However, I forgot to cancel the rest of my buy offer so when I woke up I had bought 4 more. Luckily they did not drop below my buy offer and I managed to sell those 4 for no profit.- Spoiler:
14 - Seismic Singularity - 20118k - 2.55%
This item was going crazy today. I pretty much sat there and watched it rise from 640m to nearly 800m. At every point during the massive rise I thought surely they would crash. Once I saw it hit 780m I said I had to take a chance. I instant bought for 790m and put the sell offer in at 810m. I thought this would be a pretty reasonable price. Luckily it sold within about 10 minutes. I missed out on a lot of profit because 5 minutes later it was at 825m and about 20 minutes later it was at 875m. However, I think it was definitely better to take the safe route and 20m profit isn't that bad.- Spoiler:
15 - Seismic Singularity - 10000k - 1.21%
Follow up of the last flip on my other account. I instant bought at 825m and initially put my sell offer at 850m. I second guessed myself because I thought what if it was just an anomaly that I got 1 at 825m (I bought one at 790m about 10 minutes before) or what if it crashes on me. I decided to drop in to 835m to play it safer. It sold within about 10 minutes but did infact hit 850m shortly after.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Pretty good profit today with 40m logged. I took a really big risk with the Singularities but luckily they worked out. Not many other flips though. I've been doing more high wealth flipping lately but I could definitely improve. I just don't have as much time anymore.
Date: August 9, 2013
16 - Virtus Book - 3010k - 0.77%
Pretty standard flip here. Not the greatest margins but considering the speed of these, it's a fair trade off. These were coming down from a high and seemed to stable out so I thought it would be a safe time to flip them. I flipped on 2 accounts but still pretty fast nonetheless,- Spoiler:
17 - Ragefire Boots - 1395k - 2.51%
I was trying to do some active flipping before going to bed and this was really the only item that panned out. Better margins than I have gotten in a while. This item was kind of gone downhill since RS3 came out and doesn't make for as good a flip now.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was gone all day and the only flips I got done were done late the night before. They were decent flips but not great.
Date: August 10, 2013
18 - Bandos Godsword - 201k - 2.38%
On this account I only have 25m for the merchanting competion so I will be doing some low wealth flipping. To start I tried out some items I would flip before EoC. This is one of them expect they lost a large amount of value after EoC. Pretty standard active flip. I had to raise my buy price and drop my sell price but other than that decent low wealth flip.- Spoiler:
19 - Blood Rune - 175k - 2.17%
Another item I flipped pre EoC. This time it had pretty good margins and was an extremely fast flip. The whole thing completed in less than 5 minutes.- Spoiler:
20 - Saradomin Sword - 470k - 4.95%
This was a slower flip. I had to raise my buy price numerous times and it was still slow. I started selling after buying 7 and then 2 more bought so I sold those a little cheaper.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was still away for most of today and didn't get home until late today. When I got home I bought a seismic singularity instantly and tried to flip that for a nice profit but unfortunately I was tricked by a maniper and ended up breaking even. All my other flips today were low wealth because I only have 25m on one account for the merchanting competition. That means I have 25m on one account and about 1.4b on the other. I might try flipping phats now that I have most of my wealth concentrated on one account.
Date: August 11, 2013
21 - Saradomin Godsword - 1550k - 0.76%
These had been dropping but had seemed to stabilize. I thought it would be pretty safe to flip and could possibly even rise some. Buying was very slow and I had to raise my buy price. I tried to sell higher than my original high price but didn't have any luck and settled on the original high price.- Spoiler:
22 - Virtus Book - 2821k - 1.62%
Initially these had pretty good margins but I bought 2 at the low price and I got the third one with cash back. I believe I got it from coinshare. Idk but I'll take the extra profit. Also I was only able to buy 3 because I had cash tied up in other things.- Spoiler:
23 - Virtus Wand - 2000k - 0.39%
Pretty bad margins here but still 2m profit for very little effort. This item sucks up a lot of my wealth but is normally pretty quick. I was also careful with this flip specifically because this item jumped in price by about 5m over a day.- Spoiler:
24 - Seismic Singularity - 10000k - 1.15%
I bought this after selling my last sing when I got tricked by a maniper. I put a buy offer in at 870m because I thought that would be reasonable but it ended up buying instantly at 870m. I was worried about this flip because they had that epic rise but then stabilized. I felt they could easily crash back down but luckily they didn't. I put my sell offer at 890m and tried to sell overnight. It didn't sell by the time I woke up and I was very worried. I checked the fc and the fc reported 880b. I put my offer in at that and it soon sold.- Spoiler:
25 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1060k - 1.85%
These didn't have the best margins but I wanted to flip these because these would be easy to flip on my other account with 25m (1 at a time of course).- Spoiler:
26 - Astral Rune - 216k - 3.21%
This is another one of my flips before EoC. These typically have pretty good margins and are very very fast.- Spoiler:
27 - Bandos Chestplate - 280k - 3.29%
Another of my old flips. There used to be an irc channel where you could share price checks that was run by Snow. These were probably the most commonly used item there and from that I noticed that you could expect about 300k margins from these and either the low price or the high would be around mid. Now you can flip these using pc101 or merchz with the same philosophy about either the low or high being around mid for easy profit.- Spoiler:
28 - Saradomin Sword - 343k - 4.58%
I flipped these yesterday too. They have had pretty good margins but I have noticed that the buying and selling process is much slower than I would expect.- Spoiler:
29 - Bandos Chestplate - 225k - 2.68%
Another bcp flip with slightly lower margins. Same philosophy I used for the last one. It's pretty effective and the entire flip completes in under than 5 minutes.- Spoiler:
30 - Astral Rune - 175k - 2.79%
Another pretty good astral flip. Nothing special but a pretty quick flip.- Spoiler:
31 - Ahrim's Book of Magic - 1020k - 1.78%
I had pc'ed and started to flip these on my other account and realized I could flip these 1 by 1 on my account with 25m. It worked out pretty nicely.- Spoiler:
32 - Bandos Tassets - 290k - 6.03%
Same philosophy with the bandos chestplate.- Spoiler:
33 - Blood Rune - 150k - 1.85%
I like doing low wealth rune flips because they are so fast and easy. Blood runes are one of the pretty good ones.- Spoiler:
34 - Armadyl Chestplate - 225k - 2.53%
Same philosophy with the bandos but I don't think these are as good as Bandos. They are usually slower with smaller margins.- Spoiler:
35 - Bandos Chestplate - 315k - 3.79%
Same as the last few bandos flips.- Spoiler:
36 - Bandos Tassets - 345k - 7.18%
Again same old same old. But a tip: start with a low buy offer and raise it by 10k every few minutes until you get it or start with a high sell offer and lower it by 10k every few minutes.- Spoiler:
37 - Virtus Boots - 600k - 4.55%
I flipped these similarly to how I active flip drygores. I followed these on Merchz and they had 1m margins so I cut the high and low price by 200k each.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Mostly low wealth flips today but quite a few flips nonetheless. Some decent profit with a nice singularity flip but other than that it was a pretty bland day.

Re: Zakat's Merchanting Diary
- Week 6:
- Week 6
Starting Total Merchantable Bank: 1414m
Ending Total Merchantable Bank: 1432m
Weekly summary: This week was going great until Saturday when a string of poor decisions led to a 100m+ loss. If you look at each part of this diary individually it does't look too bad but that mistake cost me big time. Beyond my fails, I enjoyed low wealth flipping for most of this week. I even found some items I could utilize on a daily basis. I was busy much of this week getting ready for school and next week I'll be moving so there probably won't be many updates the next few weeks.
Date: August 12, 2013
1 - Virtus Book - 2320k - 0.94%
These were trading a good bit over mid and I bought pretty quickly. I suspected they crashed but put the sell price at the high price anyway. 1 sold before going to bed a few hours later. The rest sold overnight. Patience pays off.- Spoiler:
2 - Seismic Singularity - 10000k - 1.15%
These have remained very stable after its rise. They have fluctuated between 870m-880m so I have been trying to flip these with the same margins and it has worked out well. I bought quickly before going to sleep and sold overnight.- Spoiler:
3 - Saradomin Sword - 693k - 6.98%
These tend to have very good margins but have been very slow. I managed to buy these pretty quickly but selling was very slow and I had to end up selling overnight.- Spoiler:
4 - Bandos Chestplate - 290k - 3.53%
I spent too much time trying to stretch the margins with these. It was really a waste of time as they wouldn't budge and I had to settle on less than 300k profit.- Spoiler:
5 - Pernix Gloves - 480k - 4.17%
I have never flipped these before but I have been hanging out in nex and ss recently and noticed someone instantly sell this item at 11.5m. I put a buy offer slightly higher than that and got it quickly. I had to do some stuff irl so I put my sell price right below mid which was around 13. When I came back after a while they hadn't sold so I dropped my sell price and settled on just below 500k profit. After I lowered my sell offer it sold quickly.- Spoiler:
6 - Bandos Tassets - 200k - 4.17%
I tried for about an hour to buy these lower but with no luck. I then even had trouble selling. A lot of work for 200k.- Spoiler:
7 - Virtus Mask - 495k - 2.44%
Similar flip to the Pernix Gloves. I noticed someone give the instant sell price in the fc and I put a buy offer a little higher than that. I chose a sell price I thought would be reasonable and it sold quickly.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was out most of the day today and didn't have any time to flip until late today. I also got a few flips done last night before going to bed. Most of my flips today were lower wealth but I did manage to get another nice sing flip.
Date: August 12, 2013
9 - Saradomin Sword - 657k - 6.18%
These were trading a good bit above mid so a bit risky. This item usually has pretty good margins considering the wealth involved and these margins were about right. These are usually slower than in this flip. The 9 sold very quickly which leads me to believe that the price rose even further as I was buying.- Spoiler:
10 - Zamorak Godsword - 1140k - 6.90%
Pretty good margins for this flip. I only had money to buy 7 but after 6 they stopped buying so I used the last one to check the high price again. It was a good move because the high price rose about 50k.- Spoiler:
11 - Bandos Tassets - 330k - 7.25%
Bandos has been crashing so I've been buying about 300k below mid. It works pretty well and this flip is a good example of that.- Spoiler:
12 - Bandos Chestplate - 335k - 4.18%
Same scenario as the previous flip. I usually shoot for 300k+ profit.- Spoiler:
13 - Bandos Chestplate - 335k - 4.18%
Pretty much the exact same flip as the previous one with the same margins about 4 hours later.- Spoiler:
14 - Pernix Boots - 550k - 5.24%
In Nex and SS I noticed the margin of these was 10.5+ so I put an offer slightly higher than that and sold just under mid.- Spoiler:
15 - Seismic Singularity - 10000k - 1.15%
Another Sing flip with the same margin. Bought before going to bed and sold overnight. It's pretty easy to find the prices it fluctates between. I've done this the last few times and it makes for a very nice overnight flip.- Spoiler:
16 - Seismic Singularity - 1000k - 0.11%
I was simply testing the prices for experimental purposes and decided to try for a mil profit instead of just selling back at the price I bought at. It sold pretty quickly considering I bought instantly.- Spoiler:
17 - Virtus Wand - 11490k - 4.34%
These were trading about 5m above mid so it was a very risky flip but also had the potential to rise even further. While buying I managed to snag one of the 2 for 5m below my buy offer. This was likely because I had the highest buy offer when someone got one of these from coinshare and it was instantly sold for mid in G.E. A non instant buy is also an instant sell so I was very lucky here. These had great margins anyway because they were rising so quickly. I cut the flip short because I wanted to try a phat flip and I needed the money.- Spoiler:
18 - Saradomin Godsword - 2170k - 0.87%
These were rising so I saw great potential in this flip. Like the last flip I cut this one short because I needed the money. I checked the high price again and it had risen by 1 gp. While only a 1 gp rise it still means more people are buying and less are selling. If I took my time with this one I'm sure I could have made more.- Spoiler:
The day's review - Pretty good profit today. I focused more on the low wealth flips than the high wealth flips today because I spent most of the day attempting to flip phats. No luck with that yet. I had another solid overnight Sing flip and a nice v wand flip which made up the bulk of my profit today.
Date: August 14, 2013
19 - Saradomin Sword - 1240k - 12.16%
These had been rising pretty drastically and the high price rose by 100k as I was buying. Even though they rose by a lot, selling was very slow. They hadn't started selling when I went to bed which is probably because they were trading 20% above mid. I let them sit overnight and they sold when I woke up.- Spoiler:
20 - Astral Rune - 369k - 7.08%
While these are normally pretty good flips with good margins, the prices tend to be all over the place. I've seen them traded from 230-350 in the last few days. These were trading on the low end when I flipped this so I figured it would be pretty safe. This flip was slower than normal and I cut the flip short after 23k because I wanted to ensure I took advantage of the good margins.- Spoiler:
21 - Ascension Keystone Primus - 825k - 9.57%
I had never flipped these before but I have seen other flip these with success. The high price was mid and the low price was about 60k lower. I thought the high price might be an anomaly because when the high price is mid and the margins are pretty big that tends to be the case, but they ended up selling pretty quickly at the high price.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was busy most of the day so not much progress today. On the account with the bulk of my cash I had all the cash tied up in a phat flip that didn't go well and lost 4m. It probably wasn't a good time to try to flip these as they had been constantly dropping. I put a lowball offer in overnight but it dropped more than I was expecting and couldn't turn a profit. After that failed attempt I tried to flip a singularity after they had dropped 100m. I bought instantly for 770m when the fc was reporting 770s. I figured it might drop even further so I went to sell and it sold instantly at the price I bought at. A little later it was trading at 775m so I missed out on some profit. On my other account I had some trouble with many of the flips I attempted and only managed to pull 3 flips.
Date: August 15, 2013
22 - Saradomin Godsword - 1785k - 0.61%
These had been rising and had pretty good margins. When I flipped these I hoped they would rise further. After I bought my stock I put my sell offer about 200k above the high price and left it in to sell overnight. Only one sold overnight and I was forced to lower my sell price when I woke up. I checked the high price again and it was near the original high price. I put my sell offer at the new high price and they sold quickly.- Spoiler:
23 - Seismic Singularity - 60000k - 8.57%
Ahh my best overnight flip to date. These had crashed about 100m in the last day, and according to Merchz, it hit a quick low of about 690m but had quickly risen to 750m+. I put an overnight buy offer at 700m and when I woke up it had bought. I was a little nervous when I saw it bought because if it crashed 100m it could surely do it again. I checked Merchz for the prices and the price was a little old so I checked to fc also. The fc was reporting 760b so I put my sell offer at 760m and it sold quickly. Afterwards I checked Merchz again to see if I could have squeezed out a lower buy offer. The lowest recorded price over the night was 704s so I managed to snag one 4m below the lowest reported price. Very good lowball on my part and I made some really nice profit.- Spoiler:
24 - Virtus Wand - 10287k - 1.85%
When I first pc'ed these they only had 400k margins. However, they were trading about 5m over mid so I flipped them with the hope of catching one through coinshare. Just like the last time I flipped these, I managed to snag one at mid through coinshare so that was 5m free profit. After the 4 bought I put my sell offer in at the original high price and they all sold instantly about 1m higher than the original high price. While it is risky to flip items that are trading way above mid these items do have a lot of upside like the possibility of cs'ing one and the possibility of the item rising even further, both of which happened in this flip.- Spoiler:
25 - Seismic Singularity - 13000k - 1.74%
After I finished my last sing flip, I put in a buy offer for another one 15m below the price I sold at hoping to catch the new swing. It bought within an hour. The fc was now reporting 758b as the new price. I put my sell offer in at this price and it sold in less than an hour.- Spoiler:
26 - Virtus Book - 4560k - 1.82%
These had very good margins. The low price was near mid and the high price was about 1m higher. I managed to buy my limit quickly but selling was much slower. Many would worry that the item crashed on them but I usually am very patient with my flips. This time it paid off and I managed to sell them a few hours later.- Spoiler:
27 - Ascension Keystone Sextus - 432k - 10.17%
I put a buy offer for far more than I ended up getting. I left the buy in for about an hour and then cancelled my buy offer and tried to sell the ones I bought. It took a while to sell but eventually they all sold at the high price.- Spoiler:
28 - Ascension Keystone Sextus - 1135k - 11.12%
I flipped this right after my last flip with about 10k higher buy and sell price. I quickly got overcut as I was buying so I raised my buy offer and left it overnight. When I woke up I had 28 total. I rechecked the high price and it had risen about 15k so I was fortunate for that.- Spoiler:
29 - Ascension Keystone Primus - 720k - 5.08%
I bought these before going to bed but didn't take the buy offer off the G.E. until I woke up the next day. I tried to sell overnight but none sold and when I woke up I had to recheck the high price. It had dropped about 15k so I had to settle for less profit.- Spoiler:
30 - Bandos Chestplate - 350k - 4.58%
This had been pesky to flip the last few days but they have been crashing so I had a good idea of the price I should put as my buy price. I started with a low buy offer and that quickly bought to my surprise. I then put my sell offer 20k below mid and it sold quickly. All in all a pretty good flip.- Spoiler:
31 - Zamorak Godsword - 340k - 2.88%
These had been pretty good to me lately. I only had enough wealth to buy 4 but it still turned out to be a pretty good flip. Pretty simple, quick flip.- Spoiler:
The day's review - By far my best day yet. Even disregarding my 60m sing flip, I still made over 30m. I made 92m+ with not very much time invested. I didn't need to sign on much to check offers because I only flipped 10 items today and only 5 on my main account. Very good day overall. Hopefully, I can have more like it.
Date: August 15, 2013
32 - Seismic Singularity - 15000k - 2.03%
After I finished my last sing flip I put in another lowball offer. I had to wait 4 hours for the limit to reset but it bought soon after that. After I bought, the fc was reporting prices as low as 730s so I was a little worried. I was shooting for 20m+ margins but I settled on a somewhat safer price because I wanted to avoid being caught in a crash.- Spoiler:
33 - Saradomin Godsword - 1410k - 1.29%
These have been pretty stable recently with pretty good margins. I was pretty sure I could sell at 37m so the high price wasn't much of a concern. I was only able to buy 3 before going to bed so I just went ahead with my sell offer and let them sell overnight.- Spoiler:
34 - Ascension Keystone Sextus - 575k - 6.85%
Pretty standard flip with decent margins. I was trying to finish this up by midnight so I cut the buy a bit short but it didn't happen.- Spoiler:
35 - Bandos Chestplate - 370k - 4.84%
These were still crashing so I started with really low by offer and gradually raised it until it bought. I sold just under mid after about 30 minutes.- Spoiler:
36 - Ascension Keystone Quintus - 990k - 3.85%
My first time flipping these and they were trading well over mid but I decided to take a chance and flipped them. They bought before I went to bed and took overnight and much of the next day to sell.- Spoiler:
37 - Ascension Keystone Quintus - 2820k - 7.23%
I checked the margins again after finishing the last flip and the margins were pretty good. My initial offer of 35 filled very quickly but I started selling after 28. Those sold surprisingly quickly so I decided to throw in an offer for more. Eventually they stalled out and I finished selling the rest of my stock for a nice profit.- Spoiler:
38 - Bandos Chestplate - 340k - 4.50%
Still crashing. I started with a low buy offer and gradually raised it. I sold just under mid and it sold almost instantly.- Spoiler:
39 - Bandos Tassets - 295k - 7.02%
Same philosphy as the chestplates but these tend to be a bit slower.- Spoiler:
40 - Saradomin Godsword - 1890k - 0.57%
Again, these have remained stable over the last few days with decent margins. Just like the last sgs flip, I wasn't concerned with the high price as I was pretty sure I could sell for 37m. I bought my limit quickly but selling was rather slow.- Spoiler:
41 - Ascension Keystone Primus - 980k - 4.26%
These had risen a lot since yesterday. Earlier in the day when I pc'ed them they were trading well above 700k. I decided to wait and not take the risk. Later in the day I pc'ed them again and they had dropped a good bit in price. I figured this would be a safer time to flip this and took advantage of it. The entire flip took about an hour so not bad profit.- Spoiler:
The day's review - I didn't do too much actual flipping today. I had some nice flips before going to sleep and focused much of my attention today on my secondary, lower wealth account. It worked out pretty well and I found some really nice lower wealth flips.
Date: August 17-18, 2013
The day's review - Oh boy. As you can see no new flips the last few days. Lots of fails though. After the adopt a member merchanting competition ended I split my wealth between my two accounts again. This left me enough wealth on each account to flip 2 singularities at once. Sounds fun right? No. I was going to try to flip a purple partyhat (which would have turned out much better) but then I saw singularities drop a bit and I thought this was just the bottom part of their daily fluctuation. They bought and I put in a sell offer at 755m while I went out for the rest of the day. When I got back they had been gradually dropping and were at about 730m. I didn't really think much of this since in my experience, they have dropped 10m below the price I bought at and was still able to pull out 10m+ profit. I lowered my sell offer to 750m and started to doze off (very long and tiring day). For some reason I didn't go to sleep and started worrying that I would get caught with a crashing item overnight. I thought it would be safest to cut my losses and throw in a lowball buy offer overnight. I lost about 20m doing this. In hindsight they probably would have sold overnight if I had just left the sell offer in based on the graph. I put my buy offer at 700m for one on each account overnight. When I woke up neither one had bought and the fc was reporting 727b or something and they had fluctuated overnight between that and about 750m so I thought they had somewhat stabilized or if they were crashing it was a gradual crash (which doesn't happen with this item). I cancelled my buy offers and raised it to 725m because I thought they would continue the fluctuations and that this was the low part of that fluctuation. Both bought and I had a chance to sell for about 7m each but got to greedy and wanted better margins. I left a sell offer in the G.E. for a long time at 740m but when I came back they had crashed hard and I lost about 90m on those plus the 20m from the other day so -110m for the last two days.... Pretty much undid everything I worked for this week. Seismics are so risky because they crash so hard and so quickly but that's why, if you're willing to take a huge risk, you can make 10-20m easily.
Week 7
Starting Total Merchantable Bank: 1432m
Ending Total Merchantable Bank: don't know
Weekly summary: My busiest week yet but I still managed some nice flips. I decided to spend most of my available time trying to ride the wave of singularities. That worked for a few days until I put a good chunk of my wealth in ascension crossbows right at their peak. I was trying to squeeze out some profit on a quickly rising item but, as always, there are risks when flipping. They crashed on me pretty hard and I've been stuck with them for the rest of the week. Next week I'll try to minimize my loss on those ascension crossbows then hopefully get back to flipping. If I can't get out of the ascension crossbows quickly I probably won't update this for next week.
Date: August 19, 2013
1 - Seismic Singularity - 15000k - 2.31%
After I sold out after the crash I put a lowball buy offer in. In hindsight selling the 2 for a 90m loss was smart as I could have lost another 100m or so by not selling. After about an hour I managed to snag one at 650m from what I assume was a panic seller as I was able to quickly turn it over for a 15m profit.
- Spoiler:
2 - Seismic Singularity - 15000k - 1.19%
Before going to bed I put in a lowball offer for 1 on 2 accounts. My offers didn't fill by the time I woke up but learning from the mistakes I made yesterday, I left the buy offers in and didn't raise my buy price like I did yesterday. After a few hours the first one bought and I decided to try for 10m profit as, based on what the fc was reporting, I bought it from a panic seller. It sold surprisingly quickly which surprised me. The second one bought after the first one sold so I was less optimistic that I bought for a really low price. I decided to be more cautious this time as being greedy caused me to lose 100m last time so I settled for 5m profit.
- Spoiler:
The day's review - Not much activity today but I did manage to make 30m back from what I've lost the last few days. I won't be very active the rest of this week but if I can manage to make 30m with such little time and effort it will be a good week.

3 - Seismic Singularity - 41301k - 5.91%
I had put in a very low lowball offer in for 1 of these on each of my accounts at 600m overnight. Obviously they didn't buy. When I woke up the fc was reporting 635b. I bumped my offer up to 625m before having to go out for an hour. When I got back the fc was reporting 650b and 10 minutes later was reporting 660b. This item doesn't tend to have slow rises or slow drops, so I figured, after Divination was released, this item would shoot back up again. I attempted a buy offer of 660m then 670m then 680m then became a bit more hesitant about going any further. Based on prior rises I figured I could count on it reaching 750m. I ultimately bought instantly at just under 699m and set my sell offer at 740m, 10m under the price I was pretty confident it would hit. I went out for lunch for an hour and came back to a satisfying message from the grand exchange.

4 - Seismic Singularity - 14000k - 1.89%
Right after I instant bought my last sing for just under 699m I attempted to buy another one on my other account. I started at 700m then raised it to 710m. At this time I had my other sing in to sell for 720m before I bumped it up to 740m. I didn't bother raising it because I felt confident it would buy as I was out. Unfortunately it didn't and I missed out on 30-40m profit. At this time the fc was reporting 735b so I thought I could squeeze out some more profit. I instant bought at 741m which led me to believe they were on the rise again. I initially set my sell offer at 760m but someone updated the price in fc to 760b and since I didn't sell mine I was a little worried about manippers even though it could have been 759.7 or something. Anyway I dropped my sell offer by 5m just to be safe and it sold in about 10 minutes, about an hour after I bought it.
- Spoiler:
The day's review - I was very lucky to predict the 100m rise of singularities today. I've managed to make a good chunk of the cash I lost back in the last 2 days. I had two nice sing flips today but also put in offers for ascension crossbows that haven't completed yet. We'll see how those work out tomorrow.

5 - Seismic Singularity - 20000k - 2.78%
Before going to bed last night I noticed the prices of these were a little low. Based on prior experience I was pretty sure the 716s the fc was reporting was just the low part of a fluctuation. I attempted to instantly buy but couldn't buy at 720m so I left it in and it bought about 10 minutes later. I originally set my sell offer at 750m and left it overnight. When I woke up it hadn't sold but the fc was reporting 740b as the price. I lowered my sell offer to 740m and it sold after about 20 minutes of training Divination.
- Spoiler:
The day's review - The Ascensions didn't come through. In fact, they're down about 60m total for me as of now but I'm going to be so busy the next few days I'll just leave them in the G.E. for a while and hope I can profit. So far this week, I only have Seismic Singularities logged but I've been following them extremely closely and it's pretty fun to flip them.

6 - Saradomin Godsword - 5670k - 1.83%
I've been extremely busy today and have most of my wealth tied up in items that haven't been going well. I finally found some time today and had enough wealth for a full limit of sgs's. These were trading below mid and had a little less than 200k margins. I was in no rush though so I set my own sell price after buying. I wanted a 5m+ flip and was busy for the rest of the day so I set my sell price at 35m which was about 90k below mid. I checked it about 4 hours later and they had all sold.
- Spoiler:
The day's review - Been too busy the last few days to do any merchanting. All I've had time to do is check on my ascension flips, which occupy a large portion of my wealth, that are failing miserably. It's not too much of a worry because I don't have the time to do anything else with that money anyway. It would be nice to do some overnight seismic flips but I'd rather just wait out the ascensions than take a heavy loss, especially when I don't have the time to make it up.

Some food for thought, you have a tendency to flip similar items and stay within your comfort zone like the Virtus Wand. I'd really suggest trying to branch out some from what you're used to and also perhaps to try to utilize your wealth more you could do some bulk flips at the same time you do higher wealth flips. I tend to do this often. Here's some random item suggestions that might help get the juices flowing to branch out
